Last night, ended up after soi 6 (many ladies, few customers) on Walking St. Live music can definitely be found on WS. Three gogos are open near each other Palace, Tantra, Pinup. Pinup and Tantra definitely have plenty of ladies for all tastes. Only thing is little to no dancing, so they're essentially expensive beer bars with aircon. Didn't go to Palace as two ladies I met at Tree Town will start work there tonight. Must have Antigen test or take one there to enter. Places on LK Metro also require test, but haven't found that to be necessary anywhere else. Will probably stay local in Jomtien for a few, then golf on Weds, and another round of exploring the rest of the week. So plenty to do for those still planning on travel.
Thank Trev, It's been a while since I've had the time to watch any UA-cam. Things look a little better than a few months ago. I'm pleased to see that parts of Pattaya are starting to wake up. I wouldn't expect it to wake up all at once and it's been a nearly two-year hibernation.
Thanks for the update on things Trev. But honestly to me. Going for the first time. It's the perfect time. Because I don't have to battle the crowds. I can explore the beautiful country and city.
Wow I did not know the bars were opened. From what I read I assumed all the 'entertainment' centers were closed. I still won't risk a trip until things are settled down for good with no restrictions. Last thing I want to do is to fly all the way there and the bars closed up yet again.
Nice video as usual Trevor, your walks make us feel like we are there if you watch it on a big screen tv, stay safe mate , will get back later this year..
Your walk about is still more interesting than the Blizzard we are looking at for today here in Maine. 18 to 24 inches with 60 mile per hour winds. The snow and wind sucks but if you lose electricity because of the snow and wind. It gets pretty damn cold in the house. Then when it's all over, we get to shoved the damn white crap out of the driveway. Stay safe
I’ve switched my flight to Manila, instead of Bangkok. Fair play to the airlines these days, switching is no longer the expensive hassle it was pre-Covid. Maybe I’ll get to Thailand later in the year if the entry requirements improve. For now though. The choice between a straightforward PCR Test 72 hours before departure and nothing else upon arrival in Manila or the non-sensical, expensive and completely unnecessary hindrance which Thailand is requiring makes it a no-brainer. I work hard for my money and anxiety just entering Thailand isn’t worth the hassle, especially when an equally beautiful country is offering a much easier route into it.
It is 48, but I'm with Ramario. These countries are pretty equal, Thailand has edge on food, girls in Philippines slightly prettier but same same. Hats off to Philippines Government for transition

Good to see some life in Soi6 👍 Soi7 with Nick's bar and Sailor Bar looked good. I guess the rest of Soi7 and 8 will take alot longer.... Great insight into the worlds most famous sois 6,7,8! Sad to see the dimise of partically 7-8 had some epic newyear bashes and unforgettable stays at flipper Lodge 🙂🙄 bring back best bar soi 8 one of pattayas best bar in my opinion
Good Vlog Trev, probably the best 'Walk-About' yet. Glad to see light at the end of the tunnel, fook the 'Naysayers', Glad to see the 6 is up and running, it will not be long until the rest of their bars open up. (especially once the owners see the bums on seats in the bars that you noticed open now). Even Australia is making plans to open up international travel both in and out, the only way is up.
Looks better and better as time goes on. I think once tourists are ready to travel it won't be long before it's almost back to what once was. Good times on the horizon 😎 ✨ 🙏
Still looks pretty sad but you remain cheerful cheerleader. Unfortunately, I still can’t justify making the trip from USA. Risk/Reward still out of balance
Yea... we gotta test before we leave, test when we get there, test again a few days later, then test again to come back to the US. And if 1 of those tests comes up positive we are SOL. I'm not leaving the states at all until they remove the test to come back requirement. Getting stranded overseas is ridiculous...
Hello Trevor..wow..it is starting to open!! Will be visiting with my buddy on April 1st for two weeks.. If you are going to play Classic Rock in your bar from the 60s, 70s, 80s, etc. we will be sure to make a stop in the Buzzin Bar almost every night!! I am 63 yrs old..I cannot relate to hip hop, rap, etc...when that comes on I just leave..it is just not my cup of tea...anyway, great vids!
Soi6 looks pretty good but maybe it's because 20% of the bars are open. If everyone were open there wouldn't be enough customers. But it's a start for sure. Actually you are pretty brave filming down there. Wow soi 7 looks like a disaster movie. Nicks bar may get some customers in that follow his channel but that will soon stop when they realise there is no where to go after on that Soi. You have to be on Baukhao now. Such a shame.
Great channel & unlike most others covering Pattaya/Thailand Trevor doesn't go for the cheap shots of the girls/ladyboys for viewing figures, which he could easily do. I suspect those " doom n gloomers " rubbishing Pattaya are just the ones who have been there many moons ago during the Cheap-Charlie era and annoyed beer has gone up 5 baht per 2000 ltrs. For people like me planning on visiting Pattaya for the first time this year, I cannot fault the free tips and advice this channel has given me, and quite looking forward to enjoying waking up with a hang over ( & hopefully not a sore bum by making a mistake ) after a fun night in the new " Buzzing Bar ".
When the average salary is 400 baht a day and a shortime in a beer bar with a girl, drinks and barfine is over 3000 baht, then you know your in the wrong country!
Songkran going into the soi's is like walking into a very long open car wash no suds but you get hosed many times over but also some with buckets with ice cubes.
Best bar 8 .. wonder who'll take that on . Good size ,held a good reputation . Sailor bar had been , Ex pat bar for years , great food . Thanks Trev . Toon Army
Mate the only think that has disappointed about Pattaya over the years has been the rubbish and pot holes on footpaths ,I split my head open in one of the electric boxes hanging so low , all this years later it was still not fixed
Anybody who called the town lively clearly didn’t watch the full video. So cmon Thailand open up your doors without restrictions to encourage people back.
Last year, I met with the owner of the Big & Whistle building and the other one next to it for rent. He was real reasonable about working with anyone wanting to rent the place so anyone looking at that area who might be interested in those buildings, check into it.
Thanks for the night walk Trevor. Keep up the good work. Im optimistic pattaya will look more like its old self as soon as all the government circus is over. Im planning a slow travel through Thailand 3rd qtr this year. Chiang Mai, Phuket. I will certainly stop by pattaya.
The 1 and 5 day stay and go is expensive. Pcr fit to fly £90, day 1 hotel & pcr 4300 bt same again day 5. Before you've bought a beer in pattaya, £300 on top of air fare. That's if bars are open. Forgot, fit to fly going home 3500bt Bhudda for bid ,you test positive on any of these tests
Hey Trev. Great walking Vid. I must admit I don’t understand these doomsayers mentality. We’re at the back end (hopefully) of a pandemic. Tourists are still minimal, what do they expect to see. Obviously only 30% of a place like Pattaya will be open. Until you get the foot traffic..there’s no need/or point financially for all to be open. If you have a block of say 30 bars and 30 people walk by, you don’t open all 30 and have 1 per bar. You open 1 or 2 and split the customers as best you can. When the country opens with none or minimal restrictions you’ll see an influx of tourist. Myself included. (Rant over) 🙏🏻
I think Thailand needs to do the same as the Philippines are doing on the 11th of February PCR test before you leave the UK 42 hours before no need for quarantine Hotel no quarantine on arrival just go to your hotel that you have booked
Nice one Trev! the fact that Soi 6 is open at all is great news. From info I've gathered I know there is plenty to do for my April trip, and if hoops didn't exist, I would be there. But with the Philippines completely doing the right thing starting February 10th, which is PCR before arrival and vaccine card only!! I'm giving Thailand 5 weeks to get their heads out of their ass and follow suit or I'm off to the Philippines. Either open up for real, or keep shut
Vaxination is total bullshit, does not stop you catching the apparently deadly virus or passing it on. Just stop pissing about and open everything up and get on with life. This shit is a joke now and anyone who still believes what the government's say really need to give there heads a wobble
@Alex Bingham no one has ever said it prevents catching or spreading the virus, just like wearing a seat belt won't guarantee you don't die in a car crash or looking both ways at a road won't guarantee you won't get ran over.
@@michaelwilson8443 well what's the point in having 3 injections a year if they don't do anything 🤣 Well possible blood clots and all sorts of other things....... I'd rather catch a cold and be poorly for a few days
Thanks Trev for the video, if you want and if you can, please do a penny pincher chat and give us insights to stretch every baht. A real cheap Charlie vlog would be amazing 😂👌
Hey Trev, use pacer. Once it's on it counts your steps daily. Only time it stops is if your phone dies, you have to go back into the app and then shut it down again.
Thailand just needs to follow the Philippines now! Visa free is back, no quarantine and no arrival testing for vaccinated travelers! Just need a PCR 48 hours before departure 🛫.

Still waiting to go to Pattaya. I hope they drop the stupid 5th day test. But even if they dont I am still booked for April !
Fingers crossed
Good Vlog Trev, probably the best 'Walk-About' yet.
Glad to see light at the end of the tunnel, fook the 'Naysayers',
Glad to see the 6 is up and running, it will not be long until the rest of their bars open up. (especially once the owners see the bums on seats in the bars that you noticed open now).
Even Australia is making plans to open up international travel both in and out, the only way is up.
Glad you enjoyed it
Looks better and better as time goes on. I think once tourists are ready to travel it won't be long before it's almost back to what once was. Good times on the horizon 😎 ✨ 🙏
fingers crossed mate
Looking good. Already a few hot spot areas to enjoy the evenings.
getting there mate
Booking for the Philippines end of Feb..Angeles City here I come
have fun
Still looks pretty sad but you remain cheerful cheerleader. Unfortunately, I still can’t justify making the trip from USA. Risk/Reward still out of balance
thanks mate and yeah wait it out a bit
Nothing sad about it.
Yea... we gotta test before we leave, test when we get there, test again a few days later, then test again to come back to the US.
I am 63 yrs old..I cannot relate to hip hop, rap, etc...when that comes on I just leave..it is just not my cup of tea...anyway, great vids!
needs to play some of that tho as well. not only older gentlemen in pattaya some of us are in our 30's and 20's
cheers mate and yes we will mix the music up
Kawaii bar and Kink were highlights of my last trip. Both remain closed. 😥
Thanks for the update.
hope the reopen in the not too distant future
Soi6 looks pretty good but maybe it's because 20% of the bars are open. If everyone were open there wouldn't be enough customers. But it's a start for sure.
Actually you are pretty brave filming down there.
Wow soi 7 looks like a disaster movie. Nicks bar may get some customers in that follow his channel but that will soon stop when they realise there is no where to go after on that Soi.
You have to be on Baukhao now.
Such a shame.
We are slowly but gradually moving forwards and that's the main thing
Surprising how lively Half of it is.
slowly getting there
One thing I recommend is a trip to ko Phai. Rent a boat and take a day trip to this fantastic island. It takes one hour to get there.
Great shout
Thank you very much mate much appreciated
Thanks for the update Trevor 👍
Any time!
When the average salary is 400 baht a day and a shortime in a beer bar with a girl, drinks and barfine is over 3000 baht, then you know your in the wrong country!
gotcha
It’s only expensive for ugly old bags like you
Songkran going into the soi's is like walking into a very long open car wash no suds but you get hosed many times over but also some with buckets with ice cubes.
lol true that mate
Best bar 8 .. wonder who'll take that on . Good size ,held a good reputation . Sailor bar had been , Ex pat bar for years , great food . Thanks Trev . Toon Army
cheers mate
Mate the only think that has disappointed about Pattaya over the years has been the rubbish and pot holes on footpaths ,I split my head open in one of the electric boxes hanging so low , all this years later it was still not fixed
sorry to read that mate hope you are OK, and yeah lots of improvements needed
Mate I still love Thailand and I missed Pattaya because of this virus I haven’t been for 2 years can wait to come back
thank you for the evening videos much better
welcome
Ah, the pump station 24:32...a legendary establishment if there ever was one 😉
indeed
That was a great moto-taxi-long walk.
Dam I miss the Toy Box...
Thank you very much
Anybody who called the town lively clearly didn’t watch the full video. So cmon Thailand open up your doors without restrictions to encourage people back.
we want you back
Thailand Bring it on April 7th fingers crossed, Love and miss Thailand
wheels up
Last year, I met with the owner of the Big & Whistle building and the other one next to it for rent. He was real reasonable about working with anyone wanting to rent the place so anyone looking at that area who might be interested in those buildings, check into it.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the night walk Trevor. Keep up the good work. Im optimistic pattaya will look more like its old self as soon as all the government circus is over. Im planning a slow travel through Thailand 3rd qtr this year. Chiang Mai, Phuket. I will certainly stop by pattaya.
thanks mate hope you get here soon
The 1 and 5 day stay and go is expensive. Pcr fit to fly £90, day 1 hotel & pcr 4300 bt same again day 5. Before you've bought a beer in pattaya, £300 on top of air fare. That's if bars are open.
Forgot, fit to fly going home 3500bt
Bhudda for bid ,you test positive on any of these tests
agreed crazy money
(Rant over) 🙏🏻
Exactly mate, we gotta start somewhere
After 2 years hoping restrictions ease more and will try for April for my birthday if not will be another year or Philippines may be on the list soon
Hope April is sorted
great videos trev ...you should know better no helmet on motor bike taxi ..see you on live strearm sunday mate
haha cheers mate
it's so quite all the girls from beach road are going to tree town looking for a good time
many yes
It's the lack of girls to service theses bars that's the problem
it's catch 22, some bars have loads of girls and no customers
good to see things hopping!
slowly getting there
Another great Walkabout Trev. Well done Sir 👏. I thought Nick would be upstairs giving it to one of his wenches. He's probably just finished 😂🇹🇭🍺🍺🍺🍻
lol
I think Thailand needs to do the same as the Philippines are doing on the 11th of February PCR test before you leave the UK 42 hours before no need for quarantine Hotel no quarantine on arrival just go to your hotel that you have booked
100% I’ve just done the test and go and come back. You can’t relax the first week.
@@shaun2423 I understand your own Edge for the whole week just in case you test positive
wish they would
Nice one Trev! the fact that Soi 6 is open at all is great news.
This shit is a joke now and anyone who still believes what the government's say really need to give there heads a wobble
we are getting there mate, slowly but getting there
I don't mind a test in hone country, and vaccine is ok by me, but anything on top is to much
@Alex Bingham no one has ever said it prevents catching or spreading the virus, just like wearing a seat belt won't guarantee you don't die in a car crash or looking both ways at a road won't guarantee you won't get ran over.
@@michaelwilson8443 well what's the point in having 3 injections a year if they don't do anything 🤣
Well possible blood clots and all sorts of other things.......
I'd rather catch a cold and be poorly for a few days
Nice video Trev. Would you mind sharing your settings for your DJI pocket? Your videos always look so crisp
mate you know my tech ability, turn on and hope it works, I don't do settings lol
Thanks Trev for the video, if you want and if you can, please do a penny pincher chat and give us insights to stretch every baht. A real cheap Charlie vlog would be amazing 😂👌
haha we could try that yeah
Not sure why you keep referring to all these "restaurants" as bars, lol
lol
Hey Trev, use pacer. Once it's on it counts your steps daily. Only time it stops is if your phone dies, you have to go back into the app and then shut it down again.
will take a look mate cheers
Thailand just needs to follow the Philippines now! Visa free is back, no quarantine and no arrival testing for vaccinated travelers! Just need a PCR 48 hours before departure 🛫.
I wish mate
I see what your saying trevor,it is on the up.you've seen it @ its worst & its much improved.i think for us western's its just too much hassle for reward @ the minute.dec 22 hopfully
agree mate need to relax all the travel BS
A couple of weeks ago you heard talk of too many guys and not enough girls. That walk down Soi 6 seemed to have a surplus of girls.
exactly mate
