I had a "hiatus" from reaction vids for quite a while. I'm so happy to see you two are still reactin'! You have such unique chemistry and personalities to contribute to the reactions
Arjen is unbelievable. Heard this song for the first time tonight. Again: O MY GOD!!. That guitar rif at the beginning is a masterpiece on its own.....
Arjen and Tuomas, living today we are all gifted with utmost unique master project music composers in this century. They are the same level as Mozart and Bach in their days.
I think Haken (mainly Chris Henshall) approaches their genius and sometimes even surpasses it. Just listen to celestial elixir, visions, the architect or crystallised to hear why
Among the greatest experiences I've had was seeing this band, see Arjen, performing live. Into the Electric Castle is a wonderful album and Across the Rainbow bridge one of my favorite songs. It makes me so darn happy seeing you guys have so much fun listening to it. It is such a feel good high energy song and makes the heart warm that you enjoy it just as much.
Ayreon never disappoints! I also picked up on Wolf's feelings here... The Beatles' Magical Mystery Tour came to mind. Thank you so much for your awesome review!
This song absolutely surrounds you with such incredibly lush, classic vibes. I felt that along with all the influences you guys brought up, to me it felt like it also threw in some classic 80's metal vibes (like, say, Whitesnake for example).
I lived only 2 months in the 70s but I also do love 60s music so much. My father played it once in a while and its just so good. This was a great reaction! 🤟🏼
You should see the live version of this song. The electric castle live and other tales concerts is an anniversary concert of the album Into the electric castle. Epic concert. The narrator is Q from Star Trek. Ed Warby wasn’t on the album Transitus.
If you're diving down into the Electric Castle, you definetely need to watch the live show "Electric Castle Live and other tales". It will blow your mind out :)
@@HalfLifeSistah I remember watching my mother as a kid urging my father onto the dancefloor - he was very reluctant when nobody else was dancing but she just couldn't wait. When he got started though he loved it - I'm talking ballroom dancing (I'm that old). They're both long gone now but I like to think they still have the occasional dance.
You MUST check this out from the beginning. Brilliant performances all the way around. Plus the guest vocalists on his albums are always top notch. The live from Tilburg version of "Isis and Osiris" would be a great follow up piece.
EY! WHAT?! A DEEP CUT?! Nice to see (1) more Ayreon (2) a deep cut, and not just "Loser / Everybody Dies / Valley of the Queens"! If you want a different experience from... most 21st century you'll hear (probably), you should listen to the entire Theory of Everything album in 1 go, with lyrics in front of you (not necessarily for a reaction, but for your own experience). Don't think of the album as a list of individual songs, but as a 4 part modern symphony with guitars, drums, bass, synth, strings, flute and multiple lead singers - with recurring themes and motifs :D
Lately I have been extremely spoiled in Power Metal Heaven listening to the best new band in 30 years who won the Metal Hammer Golden Gods award in 2018 for best new metal band An All Female Band with 2 lead guitarists who can stand with any guy Midori and Miyako of Lovebites with thrashers like Holy War, Thunder Vengeance, Break The Wall, and the newest song from their live concert in March 2021 The song Set The World On Fire does just that. They also have a power drummer on the double bass in Haruna (Pocket Nuke) Their singer Asami was an R&B singer before joining the band. well worth a listen they are guarenteed to blow your minds especially since they by appearance don't look like the typical Power Metal band.,
agree. Arjen, Tuomas (from Nightwish) and Snowy Shaw (basically almost everything from him, but especially his own project, Mad Architect, Snowy Shaw etc).... these 3 guys are level above all top composers for me.
Ed Warby was not in EVERY Ayreon album since this one.... the last album called TRANSITUS was recorded by another drummer... but Arjen got so much hate for it that he is bringing Ed back for the next STAR ONE album...
you need the whole album to truly understand the conceptual complexity. This was his true masterpiece, not to mean that his other works are any less. Surprisingly this is not my favorite album of his, Universal Migrator, parts 1 & 2, which was two separate albums originally are friggin awesome. Your doing yourself a disservice by not listening to the full albums.
Do you mean Patreon? If so, what we are doing is posting the "raw" versions on there so that the people who requested them don't have to wait. It takes me a while to edit these videos which is why we are so behind. Since I want to curate each experience, I don't want to sacrifice my editing on UA-cam. This is the best solution I could come up with 🤷🏼♂️
Is she for real? I feel music as deeply as anyone, and i both love and champion Arjen's music, but her reaction seems like over acting. I hope i am wrong, but man did she show an extreme reaction (yes i am new to this channel). If her reaction was real, then wow.

The whole Electric Castle album is among the few albums in history I rate 10/10
I think Arjen is a genius. His compositions and story creations are so unique and special. I love his music. Fun is the perfect word for it.
Every Arjen song is a best kind of journey.

Nice analogy and a fitting one.

Just imagine if they decided to cooperate...

It's really time for The sixth extinction from 01011001 album. Exceptional piece.
You sure will have a blast with Amazing Flight hehe
Hey, this hole album blows my mind. Greetings from Argentina!

good to see you guys are still around I don't do Twitch much
I like your team - Sistah all movement and emotion and Wolf all still and rational. I bet Sistah has trouble in dragging the Wolf onto the dancefloor!
Lol 100% she gets me on the dance floor, but it's a complete disaster😆😆
Lol 😂😭... I can dance all night, but he can only dance for a few minutes because his hips start to lock up🥴

@@HalfLifeSistah she means hips, but yeah, many years of martial arts have ruined them 😬

You have to check out Ayreon Universe, it`s mind blowing stuff and live!
Ed Warby is not the drummer on the latest album Transitus, released last year.
This song was my first encounter with Ayreon. Suffice to say, it wasn't to be the last...
Wow, another Ayreon reaction :) what a treat!
It's like a Dutch Gouda cheesy fondue.
You guy and girl😁 should really look at the Live version at the 013 in Tilburg.
Do Guilt Machine please such a fantastic Arjen album. It's a short, but sweet one. "Perfection?" specifically.
Best album ever! 😍
Tomas from nightwish has another band called Auri with his wife and Troy go check it out .
I love Arjen.
I think Arjen is the closest the modern days have to Mozart and his likes. A most brilliant and likeable chap!

@@pavolridrich3434 I'd add mikael åkerfeldt to that list too. Opeth is just a darker type of masterpiece.
Still loving you!
Hey, you guys should check out Avantasia Moonglow official video featuring Candice Night, awesome thanks 😀
Please react "Ayreon - Everybody Dies"

Do you guys mostly post on pattern now? You have been quite for a while .. obviously pandemic effects us all , is this the reason why?
