Of the MILLION C&B routines I've seen, this is my favorite! You kindly sent me your write-up years ago. Even knowing the workings, it STILL fools me! I can actually experience the cups and balls as a layman must! Truly brilliant!
wow, that was so good! i thought i observed your right hand held in an odd position going from the cup to behind the table.. but then even seeing that -- the balls did not end up where i expected them to be! great execution, thanks for sharing!
Love it! Very well done! You are “the story teller”... I’ve just watched only two of your videos and IMHO you are one of the best (if not the best) story teller I’ve ever seen in my 78 years on this planet. Your skill doing magic is tops but there are a lot of other magicians that have that skill. But those other guys do not have the skill of patter that you have. A good story IMHO more than doubles the impact of of the effect. To say the least it is much more entertaining. Today there are too many stage and TV magicians that come on stage and don’t say a word. They may have some great apparatus that they walk around and play with. And the effect may bring on applause. But when it’s over the only thought the spectator is left with is “How did he/she do that”. A story like you tell I think leaves the spectator with a lot more to think about other than the “how”.
I left a comment earlier referring to magician Richard Hatch's cups and balls routine. The comment was actually supposed to be a text to a magician friend with whom I was discussing different peoples' cups and balls routines. It was not intended to be a comment on here at all and I have deleted it. I honestly have no idea about how it ended up being a comment. I had just watched Kent's routine and had this page open, so I guess somehow what I thought would be a text to my friend ended up as a comment on this page. Kent, I sincerely apologize. I ended up speaking to my magician friend later on after watching Kent's routine and I told him that it was one of the best cups and balls routine I've ever seen -- really beautiful and creative. Hope this sets the record straight!
Very nice indeed. Hey, I just realized. I, too, was very near Ogden in 1963. We were stationed on Hill AFB from 1963 through 1969 (our longest posting anywhere). It was there that I got into magic, too. Alas, I was never able to visit the magic shop.
After studying extensively more than thousands of routines from all over the world, I still think that, since 2003 when I spent time with Kent Gun, this is the most magical C&Bs routine that I have ever seen (even better than Tommy Wonder's routine coming as a very close second). At the time, Kent also had an impromptu "blue" script, in sailors language, that I did love even more. Unfortunately, some prude #&€µ£@ magicians convinced him that he should not keep using it... Also, I may be wrong but it seems to me that, over the time Kent did a small alteration with his routine
Superb. Simply superb.

Wow, watched it 5 times and not even figured out half.
Alas, Marvin Lovestedt (aka Marveen) passed away about a year ago: www.standard.net/Obituaries/2017/01/13/Marvin-C-Lovestedt
Richard, been in touch with his daughter. Let's all do better keeping up with old friends.
nice
Nice Kent. Hehe, I noticed the kids who usually blab about how things are done here on YT, are unusually quiet.
Kent nice job! Where did you get that table?
Fools me.
