I do prefer transmission line boxes myself. Especially on a small sub where you gotta make everything count and get the most you can outta what you got
I saw these at the sundown show man these are beast mode 6.5" subs sundown had a mustang there with 8 of these in a see through acrylic infinite baffle SQ was amazing and they got down for some 6.5"
I have to build a box for some 8 inch woofers soon I’ll make sure to do a video on that but I basically use a software called WInISD. Plug in all the subs specs on there then tweak the tuning to your liking. Then I go to subbox pro to put a 3d model of the box together and start building haha
Absolutely not they recommend .2 to .4 cubes a lot of people say they work best in .6 cubes tho max .8 is what I've heard obviously it can go higher but u lose a lot of control over the sub
It’s most certainly big for a 6.5” driver but that’s what I prefer for this instance. But it’s not built to sundowns specs. They recommend (don’t quote me) around like .3 or .4 cubic ft. And suggest the tuning around 40hz. Only way I could get the tuning down to my liking was to increase the enclosure size
@valorantorion1588 that’s absolutely correct. U do lose control over the sub in some instances in a box the size of mine. Which is around 1cuft. I may build a new one that’s around .75 cuft and see how it does. But as of now. It absolutely slams lows…. For a 6.5 that is 😅
@@PShizzzle It's a pity that Sundown doesn't offer matching PR units for those drivers. Going with a PR design would be an easy way of being able to use a small box and tune it down low.
the fact yr pushin that sub to its limits and i can barley put any power to my 12in sub without it popping is insane. later found out my amp is faulty out the factory. just gone have to stick with it till my jp23 gets here.
shoutout to you man love the content
I appreciate my guy! 🫡💯

This is my first one and the extra bass it allows these smaller subs to produce is absolutely wild! 🔥

I have a pair on a SFB 2k wired in series parallel loving all the trunk space
What is your process of designing a sub enclosure ? Maybe a video on building boxes?

that shit hitting💪💪
Like she’s supposed to! 😮💨🔊
@@PShizzzlehow does it compare to the vxf in sq. Ik it’s smaller so it should be better but I’m just tryna know
I wish sundown made their bigger subs with this type of surround
Looks like a slot-loaded vented box. Also looks a bit big for a 6.5" driver. Is that box built to specs provided by Sundown?

Hell yeah that shit thumps
She’s not bad for such a small sub for sure! 💯
What do you think 2 u15 v2s would sound like on a jp63 😁
I think that would be a smooth 150db easy! 😮💨🔥

Yeah this lil thing can take a beating! And I had the jp8 and it was a beast so I can only imagine what the jp23 is capable of 🫡
Sub do be hittin fam!🔥. But u need a different mic ngl 😂
Thanks nephew! This is a new mic. Just gotta figure out the settings 😅
Could you have not made it thinner and longer to fit?
Yes, but I wouldn’t have been able to tune the box low as it is.
Nice but not a very efficient built subwoofer because of the small cone with to much surround.
What the song called?
It’s a Kodak black rebassed instrumental
Thanks 😊
What's the name of it @@PShizzzle
I was looking for more bourbon reviews 😅
Your t-line box is way off
