Apologize, some specifications told in video are wrong from previous model, rest assured that I've tested the B model shown in the video and my impressions and tought are the ones told.
GLM 5 and how well it can make even a very poor acoustic room sounded like a treated studio ... it's amazing. I have 3 profiles, multi for when I'm at different locations in my room (several keyboards in different spots). Single for when I'm at a specific location (in front of my KORG Pa5X). And then a custom modified profile for when I'm listening to standard music on UA-cam and the like. Combining a Genelec 7350A with these and you're set for life.
An interesting review of many powerful studio monitors. Good brand. Greetings Pavel CZ. PS I use Presonus (3 models), great satisfaction, but I have this brand in my head, it just seems too powerful for my purposes. In any case, it is worth considering for good musicians with a good studio. Have a nice Saturday evening everyone.👍👍👍
Everyone writes and says that - "Genelec room correction software is great." I can't understand just one thing. After watching yours and many other videos carefully, and seeing that the auto tuning did NOTHING from 400 kHz to the very top of 22 kHz. It did NOTHING for it. The green graph remained 100% exactly the same as BEFORE the correction. The question is - what is the point of GLM at all then, if it does nothing for 80% of the frequency spectrum? It also has (as I understood from the video/and other videos) only 4-5 EQ reduction points. But GLM did not help to Raise and correct EQ up/correct the dips. As a result, the monitors remained 80% sounding WITHOUT correction. This is very bad and strange. Why did NOT they immediately raise this issue in the video? Why does NO ONE show this and talk about it. Why should people pay big money for monitors + pay separately for GLM - if you will NOT get professional calibration for your room??? I think this is just absurd and "deception" of the company. And they do not provide more tuning points - to eliminate all problems above 400 kHz. Even on your graph, there are a lot of PROBLEMS in the high spectrum. Are you really satisfied with all this? In my opinion, you are simply Advertising this product. Everyone who advertises products will only say Good. But they will never tell you about all the "pitfalls/threats". This is a "Rabbit Hole" - that's all. You may not like me - but I just told the Truth! PS. GLM is probably not version 2.0 anymore (this is a very old version of the program)
There are actually reasons for that. Correction of mid and high frequency to an in room response would color the first sound wave and therefore degrade sound quality. To correct for comb filtering effect all the same would just throw up even more problems a few cm up/down/sideways. In a studio environment it is advised to try and absorb or treat these problems acoustically instead of compromise on the electronic side. Glm 5 will still equalize down a bit the most extreme resonances for example at 700hz but not fully. The reason why the low frequency is not boosted to flat is apparently because of headroom concerns. You can still do this manually in glm and would need to as you otherwise don't get a linear base response. Again the professional way to solve this would be to add a Subwoofer instead of boosting low frequency of your main speaker to fill a cancelation hole in your bass response. I played around with evening out the mid and high frequencies in GLM and liked the stock outcome of Glm a lot more without this correction. However I strongly preferred the linearized bass using eq boost that the Glm does not provide out of the box. Speaker and sub together sounded perfect with GLM stock tuning, much better then when trying to "improve" on a curve.
I dunno if i would describe these things as "beautiful speakers". Never liked this weird Genelec's style & never will even if they're the best monitors out there. The classic monitor design will always win, this is a result of trying to re-invent the wheel & Ngl for $4k each with a total of $8k(cause you can't just buy 1 monitor that's mono & mono is STUPID) i would rather buy a property in Afghanistan/ even Ukraine. Great video tho 👍🏿
Hello! "cause you can't just buy 1 monitor that's mono & mono is STUPID" - who told you that? Why did you decide that you can't buy One monitor? You can - and people buy as many as they need. I don't quite understand you - that MONO is stupid. Please explain. Many people work in MONO.
@@iamjaspernoir Please study the issue of "Mono compatibility". Then you will understand everything - why it is extremely IMPORTANT to work and control your mixes in true MONO. Only then will your mixes sound right everywhere. Keep in mind that today 99% of phones are strictly MONO. Any speakers in the supermarket and stores under the ceiling are MONO.

Good brnd .🎉
Incorrect data for the amplification. You must have looked at the data for version A. It is 250w + 150w + 150w. Tweeter is 1 inch.
no sound test for this one?
Unfortunately I had no time to do that, but I’ve tryout them for several time so you have to trust my words 😊 if you want :)

@@ralfhalbknapp1104 Thanks. You are probably right!
Yeah it is your room
what are you referring to?
