  • It was very surprising to see Glendale buying Peterbilt after they had been buying Xpeditors for decades. Anyways, here's one of their newest trucks collecting trash back in October 2020. This unit was in it's 2nd week of service when this was filmed so it was pretty cool to see that it had already started slamming cans.
Just a pretty average truck but being that the truck was pretty much brand new and already had a violent arm, I decided to snag a full video. Didn't realize how much video I had actually gotten because we had been following him for hours until he went to the dump.
Anyways, a huge thanks to the very friendly driver and to the City of Glendale Public Works Department for making this video possible! Thanks for watching and please enjoy the video!
Date Filmed: October 21, 2020 in Glendale, California.

Like you said, definitely a nice addition after buying from Autocar for years. This truck has a pretty good flip to it even though it was newish at the time you filmed this, gives me the LA vibes for some reason lol.

For the life of me I can't understand why people think the cans need to be placed so damn close together! They need to be at least 1 foot apart. You see here how the driver has to manipulate or the gripper to get it between the cans. This adds SO MUCH stress to the poor guy's day!! He has about 1000 cans per day to service, 5 days a week. If we can all help out with this simple change in can placement of the cans that would be great!!

@@hamtrak_p42dcamtrak67 Indeed. They should at least buy ZRs or Rapid Rails, to spice it up a little.
