Honestly as a global and someone who used to be an esea A rank player. Voo gives really good advice. He gives advice that I dont even see people do in global like go aggressive in 1v4 bomb plant situation. Too many times I see a guy wait on site and get surrounded just to die with no kills.
It's uncommon common sense. The worse your position in the round the more risk you usually should take...unless you've decided to save...although even when saving, say you're not in a great defensive position 1v4, you're likely going to have to take a duel or two just to stay alive. Players, at least at my rank, don't understand this. And we're not getting into eco/metagame considerations. If I grabbed a shotgun on a save I'm finding a way to fight 5 guys with AKs. It strikes me a similar to the math on peaking a T after time runs out where you don't need to win 50% of a fight to win the bet... assuming similar buys/round bonus/and eco.
I'm not at a high rank as you are but I have used agressive clutches many times when I know the opponent's aren't a good aimer or if they are bad at spraying using rifles, I try to engage in longer distance fights. And yes ditch the AWP in 80% matches if u have a decent recoil control with rifles
Lol the amount of people that think they are the best since they had a good game, and then proceeds to talk down their teammates is ridicolously high in high ranks. People simply get too egotistical and fail to see themself from other points of view or even just the bigger picture in general. They point out every little thing their teammates do, yet if they do a mistake that leads to the round lost, the team must stfu and look at the scoreboard. Pathetic people really.

I 100% agree with you about playing the bomb. All the time in MM i get told not to peak in a 1v4 but in my head, ive run the numbers and the outcomes and i personally usually always feel its best to peak, try get a kill and use the bomb as a strength, not a weakness. Sometimes hiding may work but in 1v4s and sometimes 1v5's its probably a better bet to play the bomb, try peak different angles around the site and pick players off 1 by 1
This is some great advice. I wouldnt say im a high level player, only B- in Esea, but something i would include for low level players watching is to make a decision. Ive seen so many failed 1v1s and 1v2s because because the player wont make a decision. This is some really good advice, but dont let it slow your decision making down. Great video. I always play CSGO with a friend who is only ranks ahead of me, yet has close to 1,300 more hours than me at the game. I concluded that he either gave up on the game many times and picked it up again, having his rank reset every time, or he just couldn’t climb anymore. It was the latter, and I soon figured out why. Every game that I played with him, if we ever lost a round, he would immediately say either, “Don’t push them, they probably bought snipers and rifles, save.” So we did what he said, and we lost even worse because every time our opponent would hear a decoy A long followed with a B push, they would know for sure that they would get the same outcome every time, giving them more confidence. Now another thing my friend said to me after every game was: “Dude you’re way too aggressive” And I told him I had to be. The problem most people have when playing this situation is that they just can't analyze an outcome when the probability is really low. For example, for a 1 v 5 last round before half or the very last round type of clutch. Even if you were simple, you are most likely to lose but most players in that situation have a 0 percent win rate. They don't consider the time, they don't take the necessary risk and so forth. There are certain super risky things you have to do to increase your odds of a 1 v 5 clutch from maybe 0 percent to 3 percent and most people just fail to realize that. I also don't like the current elo system as it is too simple to reward players who take unnecessary risk when your team is likely to win and not giving enough rewards during clutch situation.

Most of the time my decisions are great, but my aim is inconsistent. 2 out of 4 matches I'm top fragging like... really carrying my team, not only because of the number of kills, but the importance of them. But other times I suck so much, I feel the game like it's badly configured, the bullets just DO NOT hit the targets, I get frustrated 'cause sometimes I see my crosshair in their heads and I stop to shoot but the bullet doesn't fucking hit them and I start making stupid decisions and either I get carried or I play as bad as most of my teammates and we all suck together. I don't know how to control that, and I don't really understand why it happens. Some days I'm a machine, everything I shoot I hit, flicks are on point, one taps are just normal and I can carry anyone (once I aced 3 times in the same match, and my opponents were a higher rank than me, and were not playing bad tbh), but other days I'm like silver one and I see the bullets but they just don't do damage xd. I don't know if it depends on the server (thinking about different MM servers) or if it's just a mental thing I have to overcome.
There was this scenario in faceit where im the bottom fragger and 1 of my teammate who hates me keeps yelling at me while at 1v1 situation. The enemy tries to fake planting the bomb a couple of times to bait me but didnt work for him cause i can hear his foot steps. Then i killed him him when he was planting for real. LoL.
I play what most call high ranked CS - Global Elite matchmaking, ESEA rank A and faceit rank 7 I don't really play that often anymore so my aim isn't all that. But my gamesense is still there, so i don't really make too many mistakes (apart from fucking up an occasional spray). Now like i said, this is what most people consider to be 'high ranked' CS, and i still end up facepalming myself about 20 times a game do to the sheer stupidity of some people i.e. the peeks or possitions they take. For example i cannot play a single game without some smartass taking an idiotic peek on middle (more often than not with an AWP). For example peeking mid on dust2 while on CT side, peeking mid on inferno while on CT side, peeking mid on mirage while on T side and the list goes on and on... I mean someone would be in a 1vs3 clutch, plant the bomb, and then hide instead of trying to get a fast kill to even out the odds... Also people more often then not tend to die without any refrags i.e. they rush alone and die, and when you call them out on it - they start flaming ...I miss playing in a team
You have to think outside of the box,i mean sometimes dont hold the standard angles, stay a little bit away from them, this way if you are confident enough about your aim you can get some kills! Also try to do something unexpected,i remember one time i was playing cache it was 14-14 and i was a ct,so what i did taking advantage of my spawn i rushed A main through a smoke with an awp just using a flash,i managed to kill 2 guys and then go back,i mean who does that?In such a critical score you can do something so stupid that actually pays off
this was a high risk high reward action it is totally okay doing this but keep in mind this is a high risk since such a play can say very much about the remaining player on A site. if your team tend to play very passive before, he will most likely stay at car or quad, otherwise they will just smoke off highway and pop flash and prefire yellow/rail and NBK
Good video! I really need to review your videos again. Recently got to Mg1 however I've had a series of bad games. I've lost 5 in a row with 4 games losing to 2-man carries (enemies getting 30 kills each and everyone else has single digit kills). Some rounds I pop off, others I don't. I feel very inconsistent and there's a good reason, imo, for that. My internet sucks because im forced to use an LTE connection in the middle of the countryside. When I'm not lagging I usually do well. I also overanalyze situations, either am too passive cause I'm fearful of lag or too aggressive because my internet is stable, and soloq can be a bitch if your teammates can't coordinate. Anyway, thanks for all the great videos!
CS is a beautiful game when played properly with great teamwork. Unfortunately most people are pugstars apparently and play with complete disregard for the team and hunt their own stats.
As a stats major, it was interesting to see a probability concept discussed in the context of counter strike. Thanks for another informative video.

LoL.
You could have made the parallel of the risk/reward concept with this. But regardless, good concepts, good examples, good video.
one tip from a LE guy:
never pushed when enemy team is on eco rounds otherwise you will lose those rounds specially in overpass map
never push as an ct ?
@@petruradu7242 yup

HE'S BACK BABYYYY
Please don't dissappear for 4 months again.
that sounds clever
I play what most call high ranked CS - Global Elite matchmaking, ESEA rank A and faceit rank 7
I don't really play that often anymore so my aim isn't all that. Also people more often then not tend to die without any refrags i.e. they rush alone and die, and when you call them out on it - they start flaming
...I miss playing in a team
Wooh Voo is back!
You have to think outside of the box,i mean sometimes dont hold the standard angles, stay a little bit away from them, this way if you are confident enough about your aim you can get some kills! Also try to do something unexpected,i remember one time i was playing cache it was 14-14 and i was a ct,so what i did taking advantage of my spawn i rushed A main through a smoke with an awp just using a flash,i managed to kill 2 guys and then go back,i mean who does that?In such a critical score you can do something so stupid that actually pays off
this was a high risk high reward action
it is totally okay doing this but keep in mind this is a high risk since such a play can say very much about the remaining player on A site. if your team tend to play very passive before, he will most likely stay at car or quad, otherwise they will just smoke off highway and pop flash and prefire yellow/rail and NBK
he lives
do you not have any gameplay in any of your vids?
Can er get more content i love your work even after 4m
Wait, is this v0o from quake?
Hes back!!!

YE VOO IS BACK
rushing squeaky on nuke on t side with a mac-10, atleast 1 kill every single time.
yesss
Oh yeah yeah
Unfortunately most people are pugstars apparently and play with complete disregard for the team and hunt their own stats.
thoguht this was common knowledge
You sound 100% like Luke from Linus Tech Tips!
Sim W fuck you for this. I read ur comment and now can’t think of anything else!!
Omg wtf
But what if Im smurfing and im better than my whole team ?
