We have a similar sauna with the Harvia heater. The 1 to 8 knob is the timer. You have to go past 1 hour then back it up to 1 the cut the heater on. Two clunks (relays?) to make it work. The other knob sets the temperature cut off level. Maybe they've changed it, but that's how it works with ours. Great review!

Great review. Did you build your own base with casters for the sauna or was that an option offered by the mfr?

I don't understand why you would worry about the height of the sauna. do people stay in sauna where you live?
