Just like many comments on your channel, I wish you reviewed treadmill company’s customer service FIRST, before giving your opinion. Just like a car that breaks down in the middle of nowhere without any hope of finding help, there are sooo many bad stories concerning Treadmill companies inexistant customer service and worst of all shady warranty, whether it’s Sole, Nordic, ProForm, Horizon and many others… If you want to make money, stop pushing junk to your viewers. I decided to unsubscribe due to your lack of clarity with Treadmill brands. Respectfully of course…

I was hoping to review this treadmill on the Sole site, but they've removed the ability to write reviews there. (Super questionable?!?!) Since this is the newest video here on YT, I'll put my review here in case anyone is considering purchasing and wants another perspective. I've had this for about 2 months now and I've put just over 200 miles on it. My review is based on using this machine in a very simple manner: I don't use any media or programming options - I just hit start and control everything manually. Pros: - Solid and stable feel (Unlike the reviewer in this video I think it feels pretty smooth; I'm not a fan of a super cushioned/bouncy feel though) - No need to lube the belt. I had all sorts of maintenance issues with my prior treadmill, a Sole F85 - Has decline mode Cons: - The touchscreen! They outfitted this model with a standard consumer-grade touchscreen. When I work out, I sweat -- and standard consumer-grade touchscreens can't handle sweat. One drop of sweat on the screen in the wrong place and it starts going crazy. This is a massive flaw especially in a machine billing itself as "light commercial." I "fixed" this issue by taping a piece of plastic bag over the screen. Which makes my new treadmill look just wonderful. I would purchase a properly fitted plastic cover if one were available... - The software. Seems stable enough, but has a lot of usability issues. Speed controls lock up every minute for about a second; on-screen speed controls are hidden under a weird menu; informational counters (e.g. pace, calories) that are configurable are not saved for next time; and so on. - The hood. As mentioned in the video, the geometry is odd and you have to tread carefully to avoid hitting it. In addition, at least in my case the hood rattled at higher paces. I had to put some rubber shims between it and the frame in order to silence it. (Why didn't Sole spend an extra $0.05 per unit to ship it this way..? This is a "high end" treadmill, really?) - In decline mode, especially at higher paces, the machine started slowly rolling forward when it was bare on the floor (high density rubber gym tiling). I had to fix this by fixing the front wheels in place using a board. Why is there no wheel lock on this "high end" treadmill? - Support. I wrote to support about some of these issues and didn't receive a reply until I followed up six weeks later. Took another three days, after which I was told that there's nothing that can be done about any of this. Overall... I feel like the main actual treadmill bits are solid and will last a long time (with the possible exception of the speed and incline adjustments on the side; I'm concerned that they're not sweat-resistant and will die quickly, but we'll see). However, between all of the hacks I had to do and the fact that the software is kind of crappy, I'm not super happy with this purchase. I've stayed in three different hotels since buying this machine, and have run on Precor and Lifetime Fitness machines; these real commercial brands have much better and smoother user interfaces, more solid speed control hardware, and touchscreens that don't mind a few drops of sweat. So at the moment I probably recommend passing on the TT8.

Any reason why this has not caught on with the rowing clubs? Seems like this was meant to be an improvement over the C2 for more realism, but I've never seen a team club erg room or even CrossFit box have these in them. What gives?

I'm out on cold plunge units until they're sub-$1,000. The chillers are still way too much, IMO.

So is this worth the upgrade from the Sole 63?

Don’t assume your treadmill is lubricated when delivered. I’m glad I checked mine, and found out it was dry to the bone. I bought a DeeRun treadmill and it is running perfectly for a week now after lubricating it before using it. By the way, I walk at 3.0 mph for at least an.hour a day.

I just ordered an Echelon EX5. I didn't want to be tied into an ecosystem or even a screen, esp. since I have an iPad. I do subscribe to the Peloton app, though, so it feels like the best of both worlds.

I recenly demoed a 7.4. Several things I found to be annoying. The clear protective cover on the display is very reflective under fluorescent lights making it difficult to see the display. The use of low-level (table) incandescent lights should help. I noticed a thumping sound at speeds 5+mph. It appears to be coming from the seam on the belt hitting the top roller. This can be very distracting without headphones. The store person said it should improve as the belt stretches. Some things to check out yourself.

Yeah, it’s not the best designed machine, but I love that I can fold it up and store it in my small apartment. Mine actually came with the flywheel disconnected. After some tinkering I was finally able to get the resistance knob to actually work. Never any weird noises though, and def a solid workout on it.

I was a bit conflicted between concept 2 or the water rower. I bought a water rowing machine to get some experience with it. I like the water rower, good resistance in the pull fase and the water sloshing around, it's actually a soothing sound.

The hardest part of assembly is getting it in the house! The assembly itself wasn't too bad. The hardware was packaged so nicely. The hardware for each step was packaged so that you knew what hardware to use for each step. I am just starting out, so it will be fun to see how this machine can help me lose weight and get fit!

I wear out fast. I use currently owyn protein. I don’t think it’s working the best. I also use 2 vitamin d and 3 omega 3.

is this a better deal and package than the Sole F80?

The 2023+ F63 does not have speed and incline switches on the handlebars. It did at one time. The F65 has the switches.

Potential buyer beware. I bought a bike directly from Schwinn. There was a problem with it so I returned it. It’s been over three months and they have not credited my credit card yet. Schwinn/Bowflex has said that they don’t have a mechanism for crediting a customers credit card yet, but they are looking into it.

I have been told that the new company, Bowflex doesn’t have mechanism for doing that, but they are looking into it. Do not buy a Schwin/Bowflex product unless you want a poor customer service experience.

I took their creatine for almost 9 months straight. 1 scoop a day. Amazing product. Most of my friends arent a fan of their taste, but they are used to all the added sugars etc to the junk they take. Transparent labs is the real deal.
