  • George previews the new Claude Coats book by David A. Bossert. Claude Coats: Walt Disney's Imagineer, the Making of Disneyland From Toad Hall to the Haunted Mansion and Beyond tells the story of one of Walt's first imagineers and the creation of many of the iconic rides at Disneyland.
The book focuses on the Disneyland dark rides, like Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland before moving onto the 1964-1965 New York World's Fair, the Primeval World Diorama, Pirates of the Caribbean, Adventure Thru Inner Space, and the Haunted Mansion.

Claude and Evie were my neighbors as a child. They were a wonderful couple and I always knew when it was 5:30am because Claude would always get a swim in before work. Glad I was able to locate a signed copy by the author and Alan!

Your videos are awesome & informative.
I'm retiring from my job in a few years & am moving to Orlando to work part-time at Disney. Could you tell me some really close places to Disney where we could move where I would not have to cross I-4 to get to work (we are having trouble narrowing down where to search for a new house)? Is there any other advice that you could give me about moving to the Orlando area, applying at Disney or working for Disney? Thanks again for everything that you do with your channel.

I asked for this for Christmas, but when my wife looked for it, it was sold out! I did meet David Bossert a few years ago, at Black and White day, at California Adventure. I did buy the Oswald book for my son. Nice video.
