Dada Burman always promoted his assistants. How many assistants he has Manna Dey, Jaya Dev, Hemant Kumar, Madan Mohan, RD, Basu, Manohari, Laxmikant Pyarelal. The list goes on and on.
@The Chief To be honest with you, I was looking for a comment like this. Yes, it’s true that I have taken more than six months to upload this video. I had some health issues. Then, I have to look hard to dig out from my archives to check what remains to be uploaded. Burman Dada had no such problems. In his magicians bag, he had unlimited khazaana of tunes, thousands of which he left for son Pancham, recorded on audio tapes. If you want a proof of that, you have to view my five part video, ‘S. D. Burman Autobiography by Girindra Majumdar (Part lV)’. Though it is in Bangla, but I have added English Subtitles. Any problem, let me know. Regarding this video, hear every word of it. You will love it. ♥️
@@lalwanimoti Sir I watched each and every video uploaded by you on Dada Burman, even I watch again and again occasionally,, every time I found something new to learn. I'm thirsty to know each and every single information about Dada and Pancham Da too. Anyway take good care of your health Sir. May God bless you long and healthy live ❤🙏
@@thechief197 This gentleman Peeyush Sharma has taken wonderful interviews in 1990s of stalwarts like Vijay Anand, Majrooh Sultanpuri, RD, and many others. He had not recorded them, but had written them down. They are available online as part of an online magazine. You just have to Google ‘Learning and Creativity - Silhouette Magazine’, Vijay Anand Interview by Peeyush Sharma and you will get it. I have their URL with me. Enjoy and let me know.

To say LP and KA music in the 80s has Burmandada's influence would be very unflattering. It was at best, assembly line kind of stuff, something that SD Burman never practised in his life. It was not just not a patch on Burmandada's class, but ordinary even by their own standards set up in the sixties.
@Sachin Samant, I entirely agree with you. I think Peeyush ji meant 60s when they were still in nascent stage. Later, because of their becoming busy, their standard dropped like RD Burman’s. Thank you.
@@lalwanimoti I think so too. However deplorable the practice of monopolizing awards might be, at least LP have confessed that they followed on that road too and one cannot refute the fact that the duo who is most accused of doing it at least composed brilliant music right till the demise of one of them - in fact probably the only composers apart from SD who gave superhit and long lasting compositions in all genres; and in quantity that was unmatched by any of their contemporaries.
@@sachinsamant8246 Yes, you are right. I have that confession of Pyarelal with me where he has declared what they did. The more deplorable thing that a reputed magazine like Filmfare allowed and encouraged such manipulation. The worst part is that no one came out openly to deplore it except Pran who I believe refused the award. Thanks for the comments.
@ RAVINDRA Walimbe, Yes, both the brothers Kalyanji and Anandji accepted Burman Dada as their Guru. I have that clip where Anandji says so in n interview. Thanks.

Dada Burman deserved awards in Sujata, Bandini and of course Guide. Shankar Jaikishan monopolised the music industry.
@rabindra koirala It’s unfortunate that deserving candidates lost out. Thanks.
His talent did not need laurels to prove itself. He was much greater than that.
