Never roll up in a Cybertruck when trying to sell something. The buyer will immediately drop their offer by at least $5k🥴
They definitely make people look glutinous and uninformed. But moreover, I love that he gets pissed when people "lowball" him. It's not a lowball when that's far more than anyone would get on trade, including him at his buddy's lot.
@@djparra41 70k offer on a 90k listing is a lowball
@@cooper8318he can ask whatever he wants but if people aren't willing to pay the price this will be the second boat he'll sink in.
If you pulled up in a beater, they would think you'd need the money and take a low offer?
*Never roll up in a cybertruck
owning a boat sucks, knowing someone that owns a boat is amazing
Everyone knows B.O.A.T. Stands for “bust out another thousand”! They’re rarely ever great investments.
I own a boat and believe me it doesn't suck
Not true I've owned 18 years and grew up around all kinds of toys. First step ethanol free fuel, understand maintenance, buy smallest you can use.
Scavenger
A boat makes you happy twice. The day you buy it and the day you sell it.
If the boat was actually worth what he said, why wouldn’t Rockingham buy it back and sell it. He said in the video Rockingham could sell for $98k. This guy is so full of himself. Boats depreciate between 10%- 15% yearly and I don’t know anyone who has paid full MSRP on a new boat. He also forgets about insurance, maintenance and storage cost and if he wants to get best price, it better be stored in a fully enclosed building to keep it pristine. BTW, boats in Florida are dime a dozen. Boat trader has some listed for as low as $60k for same year and model. Who does he think he’s fooling?
He fooled you into watching his video and commenting. So the guy you call a fool just made money off you. 😂
It's two canoe's on a raft that loses 50% of it's value regardless of if you even used it
That was my comment too. He's insanely lucky to find some sucker to pay 80k for something that you can find for 50k.
@@andydhillon1977 I doubt he’s making enough money to offset the loss he took on that overpriced boat.
@nickkourt Why does it matter to you all? Probably best to worry about yourselves. You all are watching him, and not vice-versa.
Use the time to better yourself.
car slang you have probably heard before: first money is the best money = sell it
If you’re try to be debt free, sell it and don’t look back, it all boils down to what’s your priority.
Trying to be debt free, but buys a boat and a cyber truck.
I wish I was as rich as Craig.
@@common_c3ntsYou're not willing to work as hard as him. That's why you criticize people who are more successful than you.
@@common_c3ntsI think he bought the cyber truck because he had put down the downpayment years ago but also he noticed for the first few months people were making money quick flipping them. He probably figured he could drive it around for 6months and then sell it for what he paid or possibly make a bit. But him and his dad really seem to like it and with EV prices going in the toilet he might have to keep it. As for the boat he helped the guy with some advertising and got it for cost. He should have asked for 90,000 as he had a month to sell.
Semper Fi, sometimes cool things means more than $$.
OPTION A. NO DOUBT !
You get greedy you’ll loose every time.
I think that you are starting to wake up. You’ve been buying expensive toys thinking that everybody else is as excited about having “hot” cars and boats. But those are luxury items, when times get tough those are the first to go. The luxury market is flooded now. It’s time to liquidate, take your losses, lick your wounds and start living in the real world where folks drive affordable cars and know that boats are fun but always a losing “investment”
Great advice …..sad he won’t listen…he’s a show off
Every time you think boat bad things happen.....Nothing ever works with boats....EVER !!
I've had two boats. Neither had any issues. I did the annual maintenance and went over it before we took it out every time. Maybe I was lucky.
I haven’t seen you make money on any vehicle the last few months
That’s because he hasn’t …the question is the losses are mounting and I wonder how long he can sustain himself and his family
I have always sold things for less than I wanted (mostly). I am now pushing 80 and have more than I will ever need. The peace of mind I had from selling boats, cars, motorcycles etc. and ending the stress of ownership has not made a bit of difference in my life. These sales have allowed me to move on with other goals in my life. Never look back.
$90,000 grand and basically interest payments only!? On something you barely use. Insane. SELL.
He has to be trolling. No way this guy can be this clueless.
Then we wont get crying wheels.
I tend to concur with your pains of marketplace, it has quickly become the garage sale of the internet. Everyone out there thinks that if something is for sale on Facebook marketplace, then the seller must be desperate. I am somewhat surprised they didn't offer HALF of your asking price, too many have watched Fast and Loud and think insulting offers really work.
In my experience, if I offer a vehicle on marketplace, and someone messages me a lowball offer, if I respond, I tell them no one will spend $80K sight unseen, so once you come look at it in person, then we can discuss the final sale price, otherwise they aren't serious in my mind. I dont care what the widget is you are selling, there will always be that one person that asks, WHATS YOUR BOTTOM DOLLAR.
I for one think Facebook needs to change their marketplace system and remove the "is this still available" quick button to FORCE people to actually interact with the seller.
Just my two cents.
this is my favorite comedy channel on youtube
I mean, I have to believe this is a joke right? Been watching for a while, every video he loses money. How does he even pay the light bill?
I agree I jump right to the comments roast session every show😂
@@soappy1720 been asking myself the same question…..but it will end soon
Sell immediately and break even. You know the risk of holding out for another buyer who may or may not come along. When you move to Florida do not buy another boat. Instead, join one of those boat clubs for a monthly fee and they will make boats available to you whenever you want and they do all of the maintenance. My cousin just did this in SC. He sold his boat and joined a boat club. He can now use a boat any time he wants without having to maintain it or pay for registration, etc.
You should have sold it for 80……..It’s Boat, it depreciates every minute.
And in NH once summer over---
You'll be amazed, once you relieve yourself from the burden of all that extra crap, you might be able to enjoy what you have! That's the actual dream.
The fact your willing to possibly lose out on some.of the sales you are for a "potential" small fraction more of the total price always bewilders me.
Guarantee it's an ego thing. "I won" 🙄 over $1k🙄
you have to think that way as a dealer
$90k for that boat, come on. 😆 Sell it and don't make that decision again. 😉
Those boats are well over 100k new
113k for a raft with a little 150, people have lost their FN minds for not good
I’m sorry $90k for a pontoon boot. I’ll pass.
@@eriknelson45Thought it had a 250?
Brother - brother - brother... my opinion would take so long to share. But in summary - Living your personal life (not business) with the Buy Low & Sell High mindset will never allow you to value or cherish the short invaluable time your gifted in this life with your family. Lost $6k, lost $2k, lost whatever... When it's money spent to enjoy your family and create the most valuable item that isn't a material thing. It's money given back in exchange to have life-long memories with your family that they have when you're gone. It's never "Money Lost" on deal. Best wishes to you and your family in our beautiful state of Florida.
I love when people on Marketplace offer 50% of your ask and say "I have cash". I either ignore, or respond back with "let me know when you have the other half" lol
Sell it,every time you take it out with no problem it's a blessing .
well said
I had the same boat in white with black accents. Bought from Steve at rockingham in 2019. Had the boat 3 summers and sold end of season 2021. Made money on the biggest depreciating asset money can buy. Never looked back!……I do miss that boat!
Almost anyone who bought a big purchase in 2019 made money.
After Covid - things went up 30%
I bought a brand new ram ..
Made 15k selling it back to dealer on lease buyout price.
That’s 15K over what I paid in a new vehicle that is now a used vehicle with 30k miles …. It made no sense it won’t happen like that again
The other thing that pisses me off is that people haggle the price without even looking at it !
Since your moving state, i would cut any losses, sell & look forward to the future
Did Craig just ask non boat people when to sell it? and did we ever learn why he was forced to sell it?He cleared 800K on the sale of NH house
Every week I'm amazed at, with only 412K subs, the amount of money you must be making with YT. You certainly don't make money anymore with cars, and you've never made a dime on anything else for that matter. How much have you lost with the CyberTruck so far? Should have gone with the new GMC Hummer. You're a good man Craig! Good luck with the sale - welcome to Florida!
Sell it! The happiest days of boat owner are the day he bought it and the day he sells it. You won’t regret it.
Poor Craig been battered for so many years while making millions you poor sole just so terrible guess you were forced to be in the car business as well. Everytime any of us in the world sell things online we deal with the same low balling people I don't feel bad for you.
This guy is a spoiled little brat with a narcissist attitude. All about me,me me!
Craig the fact you involve us in your life is amazing!! Great content!! Keep up the great work💪🏽💪🏽🙏🏽
It takes a big humble man to do what you’re doing. We’re proud of ya!
Never borrow money for a depreciating asset. Unless you are a UA-camr who needs content and can write it off as a business expense
Boat club is the way to go. I would have definitely choose option A , knowing the move to Florida. Good luck in Florida.
I enjoy watching your videos, but may I share a tip that might help you at the boat launch? When you drive past the ramp, before you start backing up, go a little beyond the ramp. This way as you back up you can turn the trailer more gradually and you won’t have to cut the wheel so sharply. I back up a 30’ travel trailer into a narrow driveway between two houses w a telephone pole on one side. Pulling a head further helps me line up my approach easier.
My grandpa used to say “a boat is a hole in the water you throw money into”
In Australia Boat stands for Break Out Another Thousand.
Got me a 60 inflatable with a drill paddle... For the 2 times a year I use it... It's pretty amazing and cheap and folds up in the trunk of my car
Hell just keep it and do the loop, if you dare.
Love to see you out looking like the proud dad you should be making the kids smile! Hope you are loving life in Florida!
I thought it was a bad idea when you bought the boat. You used it 10 hours. Now you have the hassle of selling it.
Why would you do this? .. Why?
It's all looks.
Attention, and prestige within his social circle?
I woulda held out for $85K! How many times can one take a hit/loss before it ruins not only your business but your livelihood?… Hey if you got it than don’t worry but man some of your videos even hurt me and I have absolutely nothing invested in you! With that being said, you’re a great individual and I will always wish you and your family all the best of health, wealth, happiness, love and prosperity inshaAllah my brother!🙏🏼
Depends on where you are living in Florida if you should sell it. Zach on Ultimate Rebuilds is building his 3rd pontoon boat, but he lives on a lake in Florida. They use them all the time!
Nice boat 89,500 nope. , love the videos, but for a car dealer you sure get backwards and upside down a lot, 42 years a Ford dealer, I still have to get a deal on everything or I don't want it, Toys are sure getting you in trouble, that Audi ,Soon your cyber truck, now your boat, you can buy a tri toon pontoon 1 year old for less than 30 k=maybe not that Monaco ,but as a dealer, you should never be so interested in brand name stuff-as a dealer its a I don't care attitude about makes and models -the only thing you should be thinking is profit and loss-your family would be just as happy with a 5 year pontoon 10 k -that you bought at the auction ,used for 2 years ,and got all your money back ,and did it again ,with the next toy-Take the boat back to where you bought it .and let him sell it for you, under consignment ,best chance to move it fast-I hope you get your 89 k ,but be prepared to takes your lumps, if you were my kid ,no more new toys for 5 years for you, its too stressful ,cause I feel your pain, Best of Luck
Take that 80 k and run
Option A
You're not a boat owner only using it 2 times a year. You're a perfect boat renter.
Also, how much did you lose on the deal?
You could have sold it in Florida. Longer boat seasons the further south you go.
Love the videos and look forward to your new adventures in the retired state. 🍊
Hello from Ireland again bro. I was going to say, if there are good lakes in Florida then I would have kept it, but seeing as you joined a Boat Club in Florida then it has all worked out perfectly, okay you're out 6k but that's the price you pay, Craig. So life ain't that bad my friend. Not too bad of an outcome. Enjoy, I can't wait now to find out what boat you will get in Florida, lol. More pain and grief to come. But we love it lol. 🙏🙏👏👏👏
It would be similar to you moving a boat to Greece.
Hold it thru the month. Enjoy even if you get 1000 less you had use of a sweet boat in peak season. Worth it!
Boats are bad investments buy used and cheap and use the hell out of it never buy a boat new
Just like four wheelers and side by sides knowing someone that owns a boat is more fun.. and tubing is fun as well 😜😁
Best option is to make smart financial decisions in the first place and try and avoid the YOLO bs in the first place imo.
That much money to just float around on a party boat?
Paying interest on a loan for the privilege?
Wow.
Seems from what I'm seeing plenty of toy prices are crashing in the US as economic realities start to bite.
Sell it imo.
He put nothing down. Just pure sucker move. I guess he's a big youtube celebrity now
@@soappy1720 Lots of people seem to do the same thing these days from what I see.
Explains the figures where a big percentage of people can't lay their hands on cash for unexpected expenses or whatever.
Seems that many work on the theory that if they can afford the weekly payments they can afford whatever they're looking at buying.
All good until it isn't and those that think it's about making memories should consider what their memories will be if it all goes wrong.
Oh well at least it keeps the stock market going sot that we're making money.
I would have sold it too. I did the same thing with my new Harley Road Glide last year. Bought it in early spring, then sold it in October. Lost around $4k.. But didn’t have to carry that payment through winter. Probably one of the best decisions I’ve made lately. I got lucky. Period. I’ve got friends who are taking HUGE losses on their bikes now. Only due to the crumbling economy. Stay blessed @Craig!!
Just got back for my jet ski ride here in midwest! Love it! got me brand new 23 (Dealer bought too many) seadoo explorer pro! Love it!
The way people negotiate on facebook is terrible. It has changed selling things. I agree with you it's terrible
I would have sold the boat as well , you have so much going on . one less thing to worry about .
OPTION B.
And if it doesn't sell, drive it down to Florida and use it there.
Craig you should tell us great drinking stories from your experience on the boat!
9:24 if you get the rite angle and know how to drive you should get it first shot. I can back up any trailer no problem
Is this guy going thru financial hardship or a divorce or both things dont seem right
Every video is more boring than the previous one
100% uninteresting
Selling price is a roll of the dice. 🎲 You might not be able to sell higher. Know when to fold.
Sell it in peak season when there is demand. When season ends interest dwindles and you may be stuck with it. Sell and rent it from the buyer.
Also the boat club you've got a choice of different boats to use. Great idea. I almost joined.
And down payment is???? 7k? Payment of 5-700/mo.
100% agree Craig, I HATE when they say' whats your best price?' Last thing I sold under $4000 of my asking price, and the guy sold it to his buddy for $1000 over what I was asking. I just stand my ground now..
Doesn't pay to be a decent guy and do a solid anymore. Sell something that costs 50 for 30 they want it for 20.
I bought five boats over my life including two jet skis and I love being on the water. I don’t buy them new and I pay cash for everything. I’m bummed out in those rare times I don’t have a boat.
Take a cash offer. If a buyer has to finance it there’s a chance they won’t get financing. Plus winter is around the corner and you don’t want to get stuck with the boat thru the winter. It’ll depreciate 5-10 grand by next season. Or even more depending on the economy
UNBELIEABLE!! He knows NOTHING about cars and boats!!! Ans he dyes his hair>
Crying wheels back at it again 😢
The happiest days of a boat owner are the day they buy it and the day they sell it.
Set the close date contingent on your final departure. As trade off for giving the buyer his discount.
Get the Sea doo Swtich.. Tritoon! Modular! Youd love it!
The happiest days of a bpat owners life the day they buy it and the day they sell it . BOAT= Bust Out Another Thousand
Sell it for break-even while its still in season, and do another "boat-buying adventure" in Florida!!
Yea love ur content Craig. Love it.
I’d have never sold because I’d have never bought it in the first place. I love boats but there’s nothing wrong with renting a boat 4x a year and not having to ever worry about winterizing let alone trailering, storing, launching & interest payments. Boats are for multi-multi millionaires & it sounds like you were a bit over leveraged with equity tied up in toys. Being debt free is a great feeling.
I would have sold the boat when I had the chance. You can always buy a boat in Florida. Although you now belong to a boat club which sounds like it will be less hassle. I have friends with boats and RVs and it seems to be costly. Great video as always 😁👍
I read the boat market is sinking.... ha. Good time to get out and have less... says the guy who just paid 657 for the 100 hour service on his 22' Bentley, used 5 times. I almost wished the dealer called and told me someone wanted to buy it..... have a great 3 day weekend.
You did the right thing. Wait for 2nd buyer and when he fell over go back to the first. Good job. Well done on doing boat rental in Florida... great idea... Are you able to deduct cost of rental from your tax bill in Florida if you use the boat for customer entertainment?
I’ll start the bid off now. 5$ he says he is living in Florida at least 5 times any takers? 😂
I'll take the over
I'm in 😋
Keep the boat in Florida.
🥸👌🍷🍷❤️❤️🦘
I don't think he mention living in FL 5 times.
Smart move selling it the 6k interest loss would have grown and be on your mind second-guessing yourself as the season for boating would get shorter less buyers!
I sell quite a bit of stuff myself. When people ask me my best price I go up with the price then they say well that wasn't what you were asking well you asked me my best price
Should ad a flying wheels sticker. That’ll help. Wow, and a 50 year old boy can reverse a boat. Just impressive all round.
I would have held on for at least a couple weeks to see what other offers there were. Seemed like those two reached out to you pretty quickly and it’s the beginning of the season.
Hey Craig, long time viewer, not a hater, and I like your vids. The fact you bought this boat and didn’t even talk about the price but got right into the payments and what it has cost you in interest is kinda ridiculous. You are smarter than that. If you can’t pay cash for something like this, you shouldn’t be buying it.
Craig,I wished I had the money you left on the table from this & that electric Audi. I could feed a small Country for a month. I hope the memories were good, used the boat 3-4 times & lost about 35k. That's expensive vacations ,I know you make up for it ,I know we all have our stupid things we buy too.
"I know I'm a bad salesman...becasue I've been doing it so long" Let that sink in
Thats awesome. Florida has timeshare's everywhere now they have timeshare boats.
I started adding $100 to the price when they ask what my best price is. Told someone they were stupid if that was how they sold stuff, buy giving their "Best Price". They told me that's how you negotiate.
Why not keep it and take it to Florida. More water, you'll be able to use it all year. I had a sailboat in Oregon, had a slip, sailed it for 2-3 times a week. Paid $11.5 cash for it, decided to more to Arizona, sold for $11.
i had a boat in the UK not the best place , the money i lost on my boat ,it would of been a lot cheaper if i could of rented a boat also. i think you did the right thing , trying to get more money.
Freedom boat club was the way to go-
8:15 I HATE when they ask me that shit too omg. "what's your best price?" - well it's what i listed it for as i researched the competition and priced accordingly ! "Please just compete with yourself and give me a lower price since im too lazy to throw out a number"
These people's mentality in the current day is jacked. Giving offers without seeing a item, why! I would never give a cheaper price without seeing a item. People need to come out in person, as we all use to do. Then make a offer! So over craziness now a days. The old $1200 Escalade is a no brainer,LQ9 6.0L !
Agree with your friends.. 2x hooks in a week .. There will still be hooks in a month from now! ENJOY THEN SELL 😄
Option 2. You only live once, so you might as well enjoy while you can.
8:14 I'm with you on this. "What's your bottom dollar?" bullshit. I always reply with "Make me an offer I can't refuse"
I'm going to have to remember to use that next time someone asks!
Be smart, you have acquired a certain wisdom over the years, you know what to do. Don’t doubt yourself when it’s time to move on.
1..I wouldn't have bought the boat knowing your moving, sorry great deal was given to you, but, your little kid in you got the better of you and you bought it, have fun in florida use your brain not your heart or ego, look forward to seeing the new old you rediscover yourself cheers . 😅
Haha. Yeah. You KNOW that is the right answer and I think we all know that you aren't probably aren't going to do what you should do. Sell it. $5k is nothing considering what all you've gone through. I'm sure Boat Rental places still exist and I'm sure every number would point to you getting out of this.
i would have waited for the full asking price. all in all, still great stuff thanks
I have had a coworker who owns a boat for years. He spends most of the time fixing things on it and winterizing it or unwinterizing it. Doesnt seem like he spends much time actually riding in it. His stories make me glad i dont own one
Boat clubs are the way to go if you don’t live waterfront and you have limited time to use the boat.
The two happiest days of a man's life : one, the day he buys a boat, two, the day he sells the boat lol
tritoons are perfect for the ocean... keep it!
Sell it brother - you crack me up with how indecisive you are. SELL IT.
