This was shot in vardø, Norway. The old mans name is Aage Ingolf Nilsen. He was my granddad. He said sentenced was so nice. I miss him alot. It was shot in his house, then later in the "abonned" city called hamningberg.

I read a manga (Japanese comics) named "Killing Me/Killing You". At the end of the first volume the author writes that he was inspired for the comic's name by a song of the same name from a band called "Sentenced". So here I am enjoying this song.

15 years ago I've heard it for the first time and after listening to early Dimmu Borgir before, this song turned me towards melodic death metal. Today, I'm totally different person, I gained and I've lost so many things throughout those years, but one thing is still inside me. And it's just me. The fact that I can be me, is simply beyond anything. So hold on to yourself and make everyday a gift from you to yourself. Peace.

2000's was amazing time to be alive. Bands like these were on top of the mainstream charts. These days all I hear from radio is cheesy pop stuff and rap. But still, rock and metal will never die.

Life was different until 2010 s. We have felt the life in our blood. We share the happiness and sadness together with our friends. After the social media increased its influence, now I only live in unreality.
It is really true, man. I am just comparing my and my friends' childhood to the one of my younger brother and the only thing i feel is pain. Life and its norms have changed drastically. And I cant even imagine the way the kids nowadays think or emote. They are completely different, 90% of their communication is via socials.
And then I just start to remeber myself in those years. The way we spent time with friend who are still my closest ones in the village... About 15 years passed, we still are besties, but the time makes us bury all those sweet moments in memories... with no chance to repeat them. Cause we became different, the time and the world.
Nostalgia is a sweet and a very savage feeling simultaneously. As Ville sang later with Poisonblack, it's "the state i love and hate".
Brings me back in time. Awesome band. I feel like a teen again.
Makes me cry because my Dad died a Pill addict and Alcoholic who couldn't get over the Divorce.....I never realized until listening to this song now how truly our children are a reflection of us.......I have been sober a year but I was a Heroin addict and alcoholic barley made it out alive....My dad has this album he passed on and left me his collection Listened to this song and got really sad......Just now I never understood it till now.

I always come back to sentenced when times are hard which seems strange but they just have a way of wording what I feel in my heart and soul and it really resonates with me and gives me courage to face them.

It's funny how things turn out. I remember being 8 years old and my dad bringing home a DVD called "Monsters of Rock Vol. 2," I think. Listening to this song, I remember this was my favorite song besides Iced Earth and "The Healer." Anyway, recently I started reading a visual novel called "Gore Screaming Show," and one of the characters mentions her love for Gothic rock and mentions Sentenced. I had completely forgotten about this band, lol.

I really start listening to Sentenced with Frozen, at the end of the 90's. Then, Killing me killing you was a blast when I first heard it, Crimson got me, and then The Cold White light an The Funeral Album made Sentenced one of my favorite metal bands! So sad, dark, emotive and powerfull! There are not many so nice farewells.
Thank you for this album. I've listened to it non-stop when I was in grade 10 (15 years ago), and it's still as powerful as when I listened to it back then. In hindsight, it's shaped the person I am today. We all need some good metal to give depths to our lives. \m/

sings the word "Killing" three times in the first line of each chorus.
Traditional "pop" arrangement of the parts, including post-bridge piano
breakdown and vocal key change chorus repetition at the end.

Ontario town! Finland's metal is already 20 years ahead! I've been a
fan ever since, bought all the records, saw them live once in Detroit,

A meeting place and time is my number one song of all the ones i`ve heard of all bands, such a damn shame that he died, master wordsmith, he could sorrow`s language.
David really did.
Few speak the language, but most people know it intimately.
Yeah I'm still sad about it, I knew about the band while they were active but only really listened to them after his passing. Apparently they even came to my town once and I missed that, ugh... to think of all the great music he might've released in the future. What a loss.
Thank you for sharing this. Sentenced was the first band that really got me into heavier music. At that time, when I was in my teens, this music gave me an outlet to 'haunt the demons away'. After that it took me maybe 10 years to stumble across Woods of Ypres, but when I did, their music hit me harder than anything since first falling in love with Sentenced. It all makes sense now. Both bands have the same effect on me - it is a weird mix of something I hear with my ears, feel in my whole body and keep in my soul forever.

Just today I was taking to a friend who has just gotten into Woods through her husband (who introduced them to me), we were talking about how powerful his stuff was. Miss both bands tremendously.
I start every day with this song. It makes my day. Masterpiece in my opinion.
