Hi, i love your videos... thanks for sharing mate. Did you learn your skills from your community? or are these skills self taught? Bamboo is such an awesome building material
Thank you very much for sharing your work, it's great to see your harmony with nature. There is a kind of peace in you and in your videos. Thanks again! from Italy :)
Having taking a course in Prehistory, this stuff is incredibly cool to watch. It's one thing to study about early human development, but seeing it is completely different, helps you understand it a lo better. Pretty cool stuff, I love your videos!
This is actually very accurate! In Israel (or Palestine if you prefer) we have remains of ancient fisheries from the late neolithic period that were constructed in similar fashion (but using rocks as a base for the levee instead of clay)
@@zazugee much less dry. It's only dry due to at least 2,000 years of deforestation. Ancient Israel is unrecognizably different from the Israel of 50+ years ago. They are restoring the ecosystem these days though.
Did you really... REALLY do that? I watch your videos and... often... I think: No. He´s not gonna do that!!! But there you go. This will be one HELL of a fish-pond. Looking forward to updates.
What I truly admire and respect, that the guys in all these series, do not need to use any modern tools. Goes to show how gadget-happy we have become in the west. These guys are imagination & skill-centric, not gadget-centric. I tip my proverbial hat to them. p.s. it beats the carp (anagram) out of most things that pass for 'entertainment' on the MSM channels.
@@francp3147 of course the whole point is to do it with primitive tools, just think what he could do with a real axe and shovel and hammer and chisel and good knife. he would make a metropolis lol
That looks like it's going to be a huge pond!!! Suggestion: make sure the water trickles down from the pond to the highest rice field, it will be filled with nutrients from the fish that can go and fertilize the rice soil. Awesome work!!!!
I do enjoy watching your UA-cam channel and videos. I really would like to know how your fish pond turns out. And how are you going to stop getting your surrounding so water logged? Would you be building a fence around your area to stop other animals from coming in and eating your crops and fish? I really am interested on what you are going to do next. Well I look forward to your next video.
I hope new video will be added soon! Love your camera work and simple style.... but building with your metods a real dream place to live :) Greetings from Poland.
If you are keen on leaving modern society (It's obviously not to everyone's liking), then help me build a city at some sort of island or coastline. It will be based on something right out of the early 18th century, and there will only be "pre-industrial age" technology used. The town is to be built, inspired by Nassau or some other colony in the 18th century Bahamas. Sadly, islands and acreage cost a lot of money, but if we are many, and we all sell our properties, it should be easy to afford the island/land and resources needed. I really don't think it should be a problem to sell your property and unnecessary belongings, if you are planning to leave modern society anyways. A couple of islands I have in mind are, Matana South seas plantation, Igoigoli Island and Whitsunday Island. There are also some coastal areas that can be used. Maybe something along the coast of New Guinea. In New Guinea one can find coastal stretches that are up to 50 km long without any named location showing up on google earth (they show the name of practically everything on google earth) Too be honest coastal areas are likely more viable solutions than small islands. Acreage bought off the mainland is also way cheaper than an island of the same size. Remember that if one person gets a couple followers those followers might also get some, and then we have a chain reaction. This is possible guys. If you are interested, then like my comment so other people can see that you are interested. Contact me on email: emiladefoged@gmail.com

all nations, tribes, and tongues mined minerals and metals from the mountains on their land. We know the clear benefit of metals to aid in tools, strengthen buildings, alchemy, storage, etc. It would be exciting to see him conquer his mountain with a mine shaft and see what kind of things he might be able to build from there. It's not greed, it's exactly the same thing as him making clay.
Your already watching that video series. Let me say those bamboo sticks & palm leaves are paying for his nice camera system, & maybe even the land he is building on. You have to remember a large portion of the world still lives like that today, in fact those that do have jobs are often earning from $2. a day to maybe in China $2. an hour. So a small income from a you-tube channel is a comparable to a lavish income if spent well. In his community or in many countries this income would seem rich. This is one of the reasons these channels are so popular. Another reason is those of us in 1st world supposedly rich countries feel the bite of poverty, & we want to know how to live on, because we know the lifestyle we currently live will not continue on forever, it is doomed to crash one day.

I love how friendly this is to the environment. The guys with the cans of paint are uncool.
How did you find/locate such a perfect place? The landscape, bamboo,watersource, the soil(clay) etc.Everything within reach.Amazing ! 👍👍👍

Thx 4 using clay not concrete, and making it a dessent size surface area, the 90 degree turn might be a weak spot tho. keep up the good job. :)

I totally am looking forward to the next videos of this. I have been waiting for the fishery video for weeks. I cant wait to see the next one
Clay is a wonderful ressource to have, long ago this must have been valuble
that fence looks cool. he could put that in one corner of the pod, so the water can flow out in that corner without the fish flowing out
Nice work! I would love to try this on my farm back the countryside.

Đến khi bạn hoàn thành tất cả chắc bán vé vô đc nhiều lắm đây he he
the water tunnel cringes me out, not because I am claustrophobic, but because there is no bracing
Who would have thought it? Well, why not? A hole in the ground holds water if the dirt is basically clay.
Step 2 build a bunch of huts
Step 3 charge your viewers to stay in said huts and help you build more stuff
you could make a giant wall around ur place to keep animals out :)
Those clay might be perfect for pots and pans.
Thumbs up!!!

Why are you gathering all the clay from one area and not the middle of the future fish pond? Long time watcher and sub first time caller!
In Ireland a wooden spade was used for cutting turf and turning earth. The advantage off using your legs and weight over arm power is very great.
Nice
