I can't wait for Birmingham, AL camera to come out! It will be so beneficial to us railfans in AL, MS, GA, TN, and FL!
4:45 That AC44C6M horn sounds like a mixture of a K5LA and a P5
Great content Aaron!
Great Job Aaron!
Nice video and catch on the Monongahela and NKP ES44AC GE motors!🛤🚂
Hey, great video! I enjoyed that
film of KCS 1921! I’m a former
employee of the original TP&W.
I remember when they bought
these. The first group was
2001-2004; then the following
year, they bought 2005-2011.
They were our best units! I
remember when AT&SF bought
out PennCo’s half and they became the sole owner. The
rumors were always there that
Pres. Bob McMillan had been
installed as president to dry up
our traffic. He was a staunch
railfan, even allowing NKP 765
to run over our track for a bit!
I was always neutral on that bit!
I do remember when CR took us
out of their customer routing
guide (and probably also removed attached rates and
tariffs). That totally dried up our
bread and butter, the overhead
traffic from AT&SF to CR.
We still got a token few cars that we had to give CR at
Peoria. The rest of it started going via Streator or Chicago.
Anyway, enough of the history.
Thanks for the memories!
Some great Trains and Locos, thank you. Nice to see some clean Pressuraide Hoppers with the Blue Chevrons. I see that at T.26 Houston, some of the UP Locos do not have a Dynamic Brake, which must mean ex Mo-Pac. Also, noted that the Cotton Belt Boxcar had Offset Doors.
I work for BNSF down in Galveston and also Pearland and South Yard. Saw the night when Santa Fe 1761 came in the yard. That Locomotive came out of Galveston yard. Rode on that locomotive before doing switching duties up there. Lucky it’s still running. Most of them are Junk. But they still work. That train came in off of the GAT/Houston Train.
It's common in Mexico. Maybe he's a dreamer.
It's just a train. Live a little and jump on one. That guy has literally experienced more excitement from that one train ride than the vast majority of the rail fan community combined.
Whatever railroad that was had their phones ringing off the hook.
And if he fell off and was injured, youd prob believe he should sue

It was at this moment he knew he had foamers calling in on him from all over the US.
Right
Freighthopping already happens all those centuries ago since the 1900s, of course it’s risky, and mostly a fatal one. But there’s no way to prevent them from hopping freight trains. Mostly sometimes it happens, and I can’t blame stupidity to people who makes grave mistakes or fatal decisions, but poor life choice its their choices and we can’t convinced it to changed. At least we can all agree that the sympathy we get, the more we tried to learned so that people won’t be killed and affected merely everyone.
Safety is impossible, and tried to correct with lessons. And besides, as much I love trains, but unfortunately the Railroads didn’t practice the regulations, safety, or the lives, those who worked is likely fired in favor of the Major companies to save amount of profits, and it’s a very irresponsible idea. If it wasn’t for [PSR], it’s a terrible idea, which is worse.
