Dance is a huge part in the music industry, just like there's groups with a lead singer and members who play instruments - there's group with a lead singer and dancers, which as important as instruments.

And the funny thing is one Nicole was a background singer and melody was suppose to be the lead but I can tell melody was off key sometimes but powerful vocals and Two Ashley Jessica and Kimberly have been in the group longer than Nicole.

She had her untrained singing voice and had to keep up with choreography while being the only one who was not a professional dancer, to that add being mistreated in the group. A lot of people criticize her, but won't take the time to check out one of her recent vocal performances to see how much she has improved and how of an amazing vocalist she is.

They should've just featured her and not the other dolls in the video if they were going to put that "Feat. Nicole Scherzinger" mark on there. But we have to understand even though Nicole was the center of PCD as a group, she needed that group name to sell records unfortunately. Her solo career never did as well as having PCD branded on her.

This is why I always had mixed feeling about this group. I mean the songs and dance moves were amazing to say the least but... Ron Fair says that she was the lead vocalist. That's because you never thought of giving the other girls a fair chance to sing apart from Melody with her occasional vocal back-up. Second: gracious about what? The fact that you basically thought Nichole was the one and only who could sing and lead the group into fame? I mean that's not a group.
Jimmy and Ron had an idea that needed a performer. Nicole sent in her resume and she was hired. They needed backups or extras, if you will, for Nicole and the others were hired. She was a newcomer without name recognition at that point and they chose a catchy and controversial name at that time. It generated publicity and the group PCD was formed. They should have called it Nicole Scherzinger AND the Pussycat Dolls because THAT was the original concept and contract. Nicole (and Melody) both have exceptional voices in my opinion, though to be honest I originally underestimated them before. I think part of Nicole's problem with sales is that one 'doll' blamed it all on Nicole and turned off people. The thing is, all of them were young, ambitious, driven and had egos and high expectations. Whether the others had talents to match their egos is something I have no clue about. But Nicole apparently did deserve the lion's share of the credit for the out put and wanted it acknowledged.

They shouldn't have put the "feat." bit. Yes, Nicole did the leading vocals, but she did that for each of their songs. And Ron is an ass for saying the other girls should be gracious, Nicole should be gracious because she's nothing without them. Whether or not the others sang, or you knew their names, or whatever, at the end of the day people were only interested in the group. Otherwise, she would have had success as a solo artist.
I sort of agree but Nicole has had more success solo then all of the girls put together. I agree that it should have been more of a group thing but in all honesty Nicole was doing a lot of the groups work. If you're the one creating in the studio working all hours of the day, if you're the one working with the designers and the videographers while the other girls just have to show up and learn what they need to do then of course you would want credit because Nicole was not only the lead, she was with The owner of the PCD doing all of the creating, costume designing, singing, all of that so yes the girls should be very gracious to have been able live out their dream somewhat. They weren't doing nearly as much work as Nicole should have gotten credit for, so therefor the girls made a LOT of money for learning a dance routine and looking pretty in the camera. I'm not saying they didn't work hard because of course they did, but Nicole worked harder and there's no denying that
She did. PCD was more massive overseas than in the USA (even though they were still big here). Nicole released two solo records overseas which all did well... her solo music just failed to make in impact in the USA... Why? I have no idea, because if we're truthful, majority of the music from "Doll Domination" was scrapped music from Nicole's first solo album "Her Name is Nicole"
PCD was kinda shady all around. The other girls were not even given the chance to sing (all of them have since had solo albums) and had no creative input, they were given prescribed personas and looks they had to stick to - like Kimberly had to be the Punk of the group, Carmit was just "the redhead" which they wanted to balance the group. When Karmit left they made Jessica Sutta dye her hair more reddish and get a fringe like Carmit to take over that look for the group. Nicole was always featured in the front, since it was her doing ALL the vocals on the album, and the looks and costume were built around her costume first. The other girls were told not to talk in interviews, and on stage Nicoles mic was at full volume, when they turned on Carmit and Melodys mics they were at a low background vocal volume and Jess, Kim and Ashleys mics were pretty much never on, even before and after each song when the girls would come on and say hello, or say thankyou - theirs weren't on. Kim most of the time would just wave at the audience, occasionally you catch the girls raising the mics to their mouths to say something, but no sound comes out because their mics weren't on. Even on talk shows the girls were told not to talk (Ashley talks about this on "I'm a celebrity get me outta here". They were worked really hard, from rehearsals to big long tours which were busy with lots of travelling, performing night after night, travelling to 7 countries in 7 days, radio interviews, tv apperances, photo shoots, more rehearsals. Nicole was recording some things around the same time as well. Nicole talks about not really getting to enjoy her time as a Doll, because she was just exhausted and not sleeping. She was also bulimic, and absolutely tiny at the time. One of the girls from PCD in the earlier days talks about being pressured to sleep with people in the industry and that all the girls were being 'pimped' out in a way. Just... yeah, PCD was all smiles and "We love PCD" and "inside every girl is a pussycat doll" on the outside, but they were tired, unhappy with their roles of not getting to talk or show their talents, and getting worked hard,

The group were having trouble, with Nicole's spotlight and with this "business" of Jai Ho! was the cherry on the top. I mean Nicole always wanted to go solo, and the girls were not being noticed but let's face it, they're ALL talented. For me this was all Robin's fault and her team, the girls weren't alowed to speak. This was what we all thought that it was going to happen. Not fair for the girls.
This video actually had me feeling a bad taste in my mouth towards Nicole and Ron Fair. You can't say "well she sings every record, so they should've been gracious" when they weren't even giving the other dolls the opportunity to sing at all. Maybe if they had all said "no thanks, we're fine dancing", and then got mad when they saw Nicole's name then fine, but that wasn't the case. Sad, and I'm hoping this 2019 reunion album & tour gives Ashley, Jessica, Carmit, and Kim their chance in the spotlight, too. We all know Nicole needs this reunion just as much as they do.
Nicole was still under contract with PCD, but the girls were too! As far as I know about girl groups and bands, they're only allowed to do things just with the group, not as an individual. So the credits that she took obviously they wouldn't be accepted by the girls, she was Pussycat Doll so like the other girls she had to do the same things. If she deserved credit for writing both albums, then go solo! The girls needed to be noticed, they're also talented, it's not fair.

In my opinion this was so disrespectful. Nicole should’ve thought about the girls’ feelings and the fact that they didn’t get more involved or sang more parts on the records because they weren’t allowed to. And if you have checked out the general comments on the other dolls' solo songs in their second album ''Doll Domination'', you will find the audience's response is positive and many agree the dolls deserve more chance to sing.

Ron said the other dolls should be gracious because Nicole was the lead singer, that was really BS! Who were the lead dancers? Dont they know how dancing is important to a good performance? In terms of dancing, Kimberly has her singnature move - oversplit, and she is the best dancer in the group, at least she contributes something to the group and she should be credited too. Jeremy Collins when Ashley was on on a “survivor” like show in the UK and one of the contestants was like so y’all split everything evenly or something to that affect and she said why do you think the band broke up? Why do you think think U2 is still around or the Spice Girls lasting as long as they did? They split everything down the middle. All were hurt to some Capacity but especially Ashley and Melody took it the hardest out of the other 5 girls.
The truth of the matter, Nicole is very talented. However, she needs them too, the group was successful not Nicole. The girls all the roles they played. Nicole was supposed to leave after their first album, and release her solo album, but it went triple plastic, 3singles were released and no hits! They created the first season of Search for the next pussycat doll, to replace Nicole. They shelved her album and the company didn't want to lose the money, so they released most her songs on "doll domination". They resigned all of the dolls, stating that they would be able to release solo songs, they come back after the break stating that we're going to use most of Nicole's song, and that they resigned her with all of these perks,(giving more creative control over the group, allowing to have private hotels and tour buses from the dolls,) that's why Carmit quit. Then all of the girls were going to quit, but they promised to record new songs, with more of the other girls. And promised to be allowed to record and perform solo songs for the album,. Melody was feature on 2 songs as co lead, and the other girls were feature in background, on "When I grow up" and "in person" , The fans wanted to hear more of the other dolls, but Robin, Ron, and Nicole. Felt they knew better, so they released "Jai ho" which was a huge international hit, so they released" hush hush hush hush" which only featured nicole and backgrounds by Melody, but Nicole had Melody and Jessica, roles in music videos reduced. They record to last songs for DD2.0 , painted windows which was supposed to be a solo song for melody feat. The group, and has all of the girls singing in the background(only song to have Ashley and Kimberly doing harmony), but they had nicole record the first and second verses without the other dolls knowing, they also recorded "top of the world" which was the first to feature the three part harmony of Jessica, Melody, and Nicole. After the tour, the dolls were tired of the record company, Robin and Ron, all them quit. The group GRL was originally called the "Pussycat Dolls", but most of the fans were not into it,so they quickly changed the name.

I want to correct that they wanted PCD to do this because it's a catchy song and Nicole did get away with the Indian look not because she looked like the actress. They don't even look alike for goodness sake! Also PCD got fans and sold millions because of them altogether not just because of Nicole. It's teamwork after all! I know the others are dancers and didn't sing but this group stood out because it's a sexy group and they also had charm at the same time! :-)
I can't fault any of the Dolls for trying to stand up for themselves and their own story - not any of them, not Nicole or anyone else. I get all of them. It's their management that is at fault here. They should have either made clear that Nicole was always going to feature and the others would have to make peace with it, or give the others a chance... they should have been more clear and offered counselling for their staff when tension arose because that's what that is; they are contracted employees and their management should have made sure they were mentally in a good place and able to work together productively.

Nicole always sand lead coz she had the most experience with dancing and singing. She was in the girl band called Eden's Crush and she was on pop stars. But the rest should of had to chance to sing as well. Melody is a good singer as well.

Nicole isn't as sweet as you all think. Jessica said she controlled how much air time the girls got. The girls who have both spoke publicly about their ordeal with Nicole (Melody and Jessica) were pushed even further to the back after the whole Jai Ho tag. Look at the last 2 single covers. Jessica and Melody both book-ends. 'Hush Hush' video Ashley and Kimberley get considerably more air time, you barely even see Melody. This was because these 2 girls spoke up about the situation.
I blame the whole situation on the management for letting Nicole to do most of the stuff with the songs and everything. If you have watched the preview of the interview, it says Nicole did 95% of the songs from the album PCD, and she and Ron showed the songs to the dolls after they finished the album. This sounds quite ridiculous to me because Ron should give some chance for the other dolls. It's a group and some of the others can sing with a decent market.

At 0:39, Nicole herself says 'I was on tour with the Dolls'- I feel like that highlights just how disconnected she was from the other girls and the group itself. I feel like the appropriate response should be 'We were on tour' as she was a part of the PCD too. I feel like, at least from this video, Nicole is such a selfish and delusional person who believes that she can make it as a soloist. It sounds like she doesn't even care that she is just using the PCD and the girls to springboard her own solo career. I really wonder what she did to secure that position of not just Main Vocalist but SOLE vocalist. I guess the irony, and probably the worst thing that could have happened to Nicole, is that she needs the other girls in order to be relevant. As happy as I am that the PCD are back together, I can't help but feel sad for the other girls that they will once again only be there to further promote Nicole.

As a singer myself I can tell you, Nicole does not suck. Take the time to do some digging on youtube and you can see a lot of things she did going back years. Please. All these girls signed a contract saying they weren't essential to the group and could be replaced at any time. Why agree to that in the beginning and then start to complain as if you were promised something else? Ashley said herself that they were told this group would be all about Nicole. They agreed to being just backup dancers and that's what they were.

I can undestand both sides. It's not like the other girls sang b4 Nicole came into the group. Even if u look at videos of them performing in the Viper Room Kimberly, Ashley, and Jessica were all just dancers but at the same time whether ur singing back up or just dancing, if ur working together as a group it should've just said PCD without the feat. Nicole is a QUEEN. She can sing like no one's business (look up Nicole as Christine from Phantom of the Opera), and she even won Dancing With the Stars (although I felt like that was a bit unfair. Look up Sway and Hush Hush; Hush Hush). Everyone wonders why she can't make it as a solo artist. She's so *talented* and she's ridiculously beautiful. However, the song/video “Jai Ho” where she is listed as a “featured artist” is the perfect example as to why she cannot make it solo. What makes this song different? Did she get more screen time or something? That's a laugh. She can't make it solo because she already *was* solo. Although she was the "featured" artist on this track, this video does not differ or "feature" her any more than their other videos do (especially Hush Hush !). The thing is, the other dolls are really talented, too. Melody, Carmit, and Jessica (really all of them can sing, but these 3 are the best behind the Queen and yes, they are in order-look up Carmit singing Fever O.M.G.) have great vocals, and Carmit, Jessica, Ashley, and most especially, Kimberly are amazing dancers. Nicole had so many talented people around...erm...behind her. She was the lead and featured artist of every single video and song. She sang 95% of the vocals including the backing tracks of the first album with Melody doing ad libs and stuff (I don't know about the second album). As she said herself (Behind the Music) "I was in the middle because I was the one singing". So what is Nicole like on her own? Well, she doesn't have all that talent behind her. She's doing the same things, and doing them *well*, but she doesn't have all the bells, whistles, glitter, and you know what I'm trying to say (I hope). Nicole does have the skill and talent to make it on her own, but she was introduced to us with all of this awesomeness behind her. She just isn't as exciting when she doesn't have all that behind her. I hope I'm not offending anyone. Nicole is one of the most talented singers I have ever heard. I mean that (you should hear her covering Led Zeppelin-she really wanted to do rock music at the beginning of her career which I think she should do now). I truly believe that being the true *leader* of the Pussycat Dolls is why she just couldn't make it by herself. I truly believe if she came out solo from the beginning, she would have made it. the girls played along obviously until they just got tired of being the backup dancers and it was evident that Nicole's desire for the spotlight played a major part in the fallout with PCD and quite possibly Eden's Crush...her Behind The Music was interesting but she didn't seem comfortable almost as if she was being forced to do the show

The dolls were not given the opportunity to be a part of the creative process other than nicole that's why she's taking all the credits. They were stuck being back ups and dancers. There are members like Jessica and Melody who can contribute but they only let nicole do all the stuff. Her karma is her solo career never took off. She overexposed herself in PCD like she was fame hungry and gained her a bad rep, besides people will only recognize her as PCD more than Nicole. There's never a Beyonce feat. The issue is, if this was going to be a Nicole thing then let it be Nicole. Don't slap the PCD name on it as a PCD record for them to now promote and perform as a new single when the dolls had no involvement or credit on the record and then still push in their face the "Feat. Maybe, the reason why Ron said that the other girls should be grateful to Nicole, merely because the "PCD" album was supposed to be the first album of Nicole. However, the experimental single "Baby Love" didn't reached the chart well. The label realized that the fans wanted a Pussycat Dolls more than Nicole's solo career. Therefore, the album repackaged for the Pussycat Dolls brand. Eventually, they are all must be thankful to one another.

I'm a big PCD fan too, don't take me wrong, I love Nicole as well, but the girls didn't have the chance to do anything in the song only dancing, and all the songs on both albums except they're own solos. They were living a dream but unfortunately it was Nicole's dream. They ALL were The Pussycat Dolls but the only one who was noticed was Nicole, the girls were just there, that's unfair, they're talented. If Nicole wanted to go solo, she would from the first place.

Dance is a huge part in the music industry, just like there's groups with a lead singer and members who play instruments - there's group with a lead singer and dancers, which as important as instruments.

A lot of people criticize her, but won't take the time to check out one of her recent vocal performances to see how much she has improved and how of an amazing vocalist she is.

Jimmy and Ron had an idea that needed a performer. Nicole sent in her resume and she was hired. They needed backups or extras, if you will, for Nicole and the others were hired. She was a newcomer without name recognition at that point and they chose a catchy and controversial name at that time. It generated publicity and the group PCD was formed. They should have called it Nicole Scherzinger AND the Pussycat Dolls because THAT was the original concept and contract. Nicole (and Melody) both have exceptional voices in my opinion, though to be honest I originally underestimated them before. I think part of Nicole's problem with sales is that one 'doll' blamed it all on Nicole and turned off people. The thing is, all of them were young, ambitious, driven and had egos and high expectations. Whether the others had talents to match their egos is something I have no clue about. But Nicole apparently did deserve the lion's share of the credit for the out put and wanted it acknowledged.

They shouldn't have put the "feat." bit. Yes, Nicole did the leading vocals, but she did that for each of their songs. And Ron is an ass for saying the other girls should be gracious, Nicole should be gracious because she's nothing without them. Whether or not the others sang, or you knew their names, or whatever, at the end of the day people were only interested in the group. Otherwise, she would have had success as a solo artist.
I sort of agree but Nicole has had more success solo then all of the girls put together. I agree that it should have been more of a group thing but in all honesty Nicole was doing a lot of the groups work. If you're the one creating in the studio working all hours of the day, if you're the one working with the designers and the videographers while the other girls just have to show up and learn what they need to do then of course you would want credit because Nicole was not only the lead, she was with The owner of the PCD doing all of the creating, costume designing, singing, all of that so yes the girls should be very gracious to have been able live out their dream somewhat. They weren't doing nearly as much work as Nicole should have gotten credit for, so therefor the girls made a LOT of money for learning a dance routine and looking pretty in the camera. I'm not saying they didn't work hard because of course they did, but Nicole worked harder and there's no denying that

Nicole released two solo records overseas which all did well... her solo music just failed to make in impact in the USA... Why? PCD was kinda shady all around. The other girls were not even given the chance to sing (all of them have since had solo albums) and had no creative input, they were given prescribed personas and looks they had to stick to - like Kimberly had to be the Punk of the group, Carmit was just "the redhead" which they wanted to balance the group. When Karmit left they made Jessica Sutta dye her hair more reddish and get a fringe like Carmit to take over that look for the group.
Nicole was always featured in the front, since it was her doing ALL the vocals on the album, and the looks and costume were built around her costume first.
The other girls were told not to talk in interviews, and on stage Nicoles mic was at full volume, when they turned on Carmit and Melodys mics they were at a low background vocal volume and Jess, Kim and Ashleys mics were pretty much never on, even before and after each song when the girls would come on and say hello, or say thankyou - theirs weren't on.
Kim most of the time would just wave at the audience, occasionally you catch the girls raising the mics to their mouths to say something, but no sound comes out because their mics weren't on.
Even on talk shows the girls were told not to talk (Ashley talks about this on "I'm a celebrity get me outta here". They were worked really hard, from rehearsals to big long tours which were busy with lots of travelling, performing night after night, travelling to 7 countries in 7 days, radio interviews, tv apperances, photo shoots, more rehearsals. Nicole was recording some things around the same time as well.
Nicole talks about not really getting to enjoy her time as a Doll, because she was just exhausted and not sleeping. She was also bulimic, and absolutely tiny at the time.
One of the girls from PCD in the earlier days talks about being pressured to sleep with people in the industry and that all the girls were being 'pimped' out in a way.
Just... yeah, PCD was all smiles and "We love PCD" and "inside every girl is a pussycat doll" on the outside, but they were tired, unhappy with their roles of not getting to talk or show their talents, and getting worked hard,

The group were having trouble, with Nicole's spotlight and with this "business" of Jai Ho! was the cherry on the top. This video actually had me feeling a bad taste in my mouth towards Nicole and Ron Fair. You can't say "well she sings every record, so they should've been gracious" when they weren't even giving the other dolls the opportunity to sing at all. Maybe if they had all said "no thanks, we're fine dancing", and then got mad when they saw Nicole's name then fine, but that wasn't the case. Sad, and I'm hoping this 2019 reunion album & tour gives Ashley, Jessica, Carmit, and Kim their chance in the spotlight, too. We all know Nicole needs this reunion just as much as they do.

Nicole was still under contract with PCD, but the girls were too! As far as I know about girl groups and bands, they're only allowed to do things just with the group, not as an individual. So the credits that she took obviously they wouldn't be accepted by the girls, she was Pussycat Doll so like the other girls she had to do the same things. If she deserved credit for writing both albums, then go solo! The girls needed to be noticed, they're also talented, it's not fair.

Jeremy Collins when Ashley was on on a “survivor” like show in the UK and one of the contestants was like so y’all split everything evenly or something to that affect and she said why do you think the band broke up? Why do you think think U2 is still around or the Spice Girls lasting as long as they did? They split everything down the middle. All were hurt to some Capacity but especially Ashley and Melody took it the hardest out of the other 5 girls.
The truth of the matter, Nicole is very talented. However, she needs them too, the group was successful not Nicole. The girls all the roles they played. Nicole was supposed to leave after their first album, and release her solo album, but it went triple plastic, 3singles were released and no hits! They created the first season of Search for the next pussycat doll, to replace Nicole. They shelved her album and the company didn't want to lose the money, so they released most her songs on "doll domination". They resigned all of the dolls, stating that they would be able to release solo songs, they come back after the break stating that we're going to use most of Nicole's song, and that they resigned her with all of these perks,(giving more creative control over the group, allowing to have private hotels and tour buses from the dolls,) that's why Carmit quit. Then all of the girls were going to quit, but they promised to record new songs, with more of the other girls. And promised to be allowed to record and perform solo songs for the album,. Melody was feature on 2 songs as co lead, and the other girls were feature in background, on "When I grow up" and "in person" , The fans wanted to hear more of the other dolls, but Robin, Ron, and Nicole. Felt they knew better, so they released "Jai ho" which was a huge international hit, so they released" hush hush hush hush" which only featured nicole and backgrounds by Melody, but Nicole had Melody and Jessica, roles in music videos reduced. They record to last songs for DD2.0 , painted windows which was supposed to be a solo song for melody feat. The group, and has all of the girls singing in the background(only song to have Ashley and Kimberly doing harmony), but they had nicole record the first and second verses without the other dolls knowing, they also recorded "top of the world" which was the first to feature the three part harmony of Jessica, Melody, and Nicole. After the tour, the dolls were tired of the record company, Robin and Ron, all them quit.
The group GRL was originally called the "Pussycat Dolls", but most of the fans were not into it,so they quickly changed the name.

I want to correct that they wanted PCD to do this because it's a catchy song and Nicole did get away with the Indian look not because she looked like the actress. They don't even look alike for goodness sake! Also PCD got fans and sold millions because of them altogether not just because of Nicole. It's teamwork after all! I know the others are dancers and didn't sing but this group stood out because it's a sexy group and they also had charm at the same time! :-)
I can't fault any of the Dolls for trying to stand up for themselves and their own story - not any of them, not Nicole or anyone else. I get all of them. It's their management that is at fault here. They should have either made clear that Nicole was always going to feature and the others would have to make peace with it, or give the others a chance... they should have been more clear and offered counselling for their staff when tension arose because that's what that is; they are contracted employees and their management should have made sure they were mentally in a good place and able to work together productively.
If she wanted her credit that badly, she should have made sure or asked could she be the only one involved in that project.

Nicole isn't as sweet as you all think. Jessica said she controlled how much air time the girls got. The girls who have both spoke publicly about their ordeal with Nicole (Melody and Jessica) were pushed even further to the back after the whole Jai Ho tag. Look at the last 2 single covers. Jessica and Melody both book-ends. 'Hush Hush' video Ashley and Kimberley get considerably more air time, you barely even see Melody. This was because these 2 girls spoke up about the situation.
I blame the whole situation on the management for letting Nicole to do most of the stuff with the songs and everything. If you have watched the preview of the interview, it says Nicole did 95% of the songs from the album PCD, and she and Ron showed the songs to the dolls after they finished the album. This sounds quite ridiculous to me because Ron should give some chance for the other dolls. It's a group and some of the others can sing with a decent market.
I think as the girls grow more confidence they wanted to sing with i understand because that what happens.

I will be honest Nicole is deffo talented and she is the best singer in the group however I do get why the other girls felt a bit unfair about Nicole only having the spotlight apparently Nicole refused to share the Spotlight probably because she was jealous of the other girls it makes sense since Melody tried to over sing Nicole in songs like Buttons I feel bad because I don’t think they were told at the start I think they wished all of them sang had Nicole maybe given other singing parts to the other girls and she sang maybe more of the songs and was in the middle which did happen but instead on singing 95% of the songs she sang maybe 50% or 30% and the rest of the girls sang their own lines for the songs maybe they might have been nominated for more Grammys rather than one and The Pussycat dolls music and everything would still been big if not bigger shame that the music label did that to them

People who think the other Dolls had a chance to put any input into the song and chose not to must be tripping. Do you really think that the label gave them any sort of power over anything? No. Which is why this all happened. All they wanted was to make things a little more equal.

He told Xtina to take all the high notes and pink called him out and said she can also sing the high notes. At 0:39, Nicole herself says 'I was on tour with the Dolls'- I feel like that highlights just how disconnected she was from the other girls and the group itself. I feel like the appropriate response should be 'We were on tour' as she was a part of the PCD too. I feel like, at least from this video, Nicole is such a selfish and delusional person who believes that she can make it as a soloist. It sounds like she doesn't even care that she is just using the PCD and the girls to springboard her own solo career. I really wonder what she did to secure that position of not just Main Vocalist but SOLE vocalist. I guess the irony, and probably the worst thing that could have happened to Nicole, is that she needs the other girls in order to be relevant.
As happy as I am that the PCD are back together, I can't help but feel sad for the other girls that they will once again only be there to further promote Nicole.

As a singer myself I can tell you, Nicole does not suck. Take the time to do some digging on youtube and you can see a lot of things she did going back years. There is a reason she is the lead singer of PCD. I believe she's a lot better off solo. For real look her up and watch her perform live and then come to me and tell me she sucks.

I can undestand both sides. It's not like the other girls sang b4 Nicole came into the group. Even if u look at videos of them performing in the Viper Room Kimberly, Ashley, and Jessica were all just dancers but at the same time whether ur singing back up or just dancing, if ur working together as a group it should've just said PCD without the feat. Nicole is a QUEEN. She can sing like no one's business (look up Nicole as Christine from Phantom of the Opera), and she even won Dancing With the Stars (although I felt like that was a bit unfair. Look up Sway and Hush Hush; Hush Hush). Everyone wonders why she can't make it as a solo artist. She's so *talented* and she's ridiculously beautiful. However, the song/video “Jai Ho” where she is listed as a “featured artist” is the perfect example as to why she cannot make it solo. What makes this song different? Did she get more screen time or something? That's a laugh. She can't make it solo because she already *was* solo. Although she was the "featured" artist on this track, this video does not differ or "feature" her any more than their other videos do (especially Hush Hush !). The thing is, the other dolls are really talented, too. Melody, Carmit, and Jessica (really all of them can sing, but these 3 are the best behind the Queen and yes, they are in order-look up Carmit singing Fever O.M.G.) have great vocals, and Carmit, Jessica, Ashley, and most especially, Kimberly are amazing dancers. Nicole had so many talented people around...erm...behind her. She was the lead and featured artist of every single video and song. She sang 95% of the vocals including the backing tracks of the first album with Melody doing ad libs and stuff (I don't know about the second album). As she said herself (Behind the Music) "I was in the middle because I was the one singing". So what is Nicole like on her own? Well, she doesn't have all that talent behind her. She's doing the same things, and doing them *well*, but she doesn't have all the bells, whistles, glitter, and you know what I'm trying to say (I hope). Nicole does have the skill and talent to make it on her own, but she was introduced to us with all of this awesomeness behind her. She just isn't as exciting when she doesn't have all that behind her. I hope I'm not offending anyone. Nicole is one of the most talented singers I have ever heard. I mean that (you should hear her covering Led Zeppelin-she really wanted to do rock music at the beginning of her career which I think she should do now). I truly believe that being the true *leader* of the Pussycat Dolls is why she just couldn't make it by herself. I truly believe if she came out solo from the beginning, she would have made it. Easily. She had what it took. She (and her management) shot herself in the foot. Now (and then) we are too used to her being front and center of a lot of talent. the girls played along obviously until they just got tired of being the backup dancers and it was evident that Nicole's desire for the spotlight played a major part in the fallout with PCD and quite possibly Eden's Crush...her Behind The Music was interesting but she didn't seem comfortable almost as if she was being forced to do the show

The dolls were not given the opportunity to be a part of the creative process other than nicole that's why she's taking all the credits. They were stuck being back ups and dancers. However, the experimental single "Baby Love" didn't reached the chart well. The label realized that the fans wanted a Pussycat Dolls more than Nicole's solo career. Therefore, the album repackaged for the Pussycat Dolls brand.

I'm a big PCD fan too, don't take me wrong, I love Nicole as well, but the girls didn't have the chance to do anything in the song only dancing, and all the songs on both albums except they're own solos.
