The process of making music nowadays is just so odd... There are some artist who make it grand with bookings in huge recording studios and tons of producers and then others do it in their bedroom while watching tv. I think i understand why so many artists don't like listening to their own music... To us those are great songs and when we hear them we envision a badass music video or performance while for them it's flashbacks to the process of making that song, what it sounded like, what changed, what was edited, the size of the room, the snacks they had.... Experiencing the process really takes away from the epicness of the song. For example...if you were a singer and you were pooping on the toilet and you came up with 'umbrella' and kinda sat there crafting the song for a while before continuing on making it while eating ramen noodles... The fans will hear the final result as this iconic amazing song but to you, it's a song you wrote while taking a shit
