I like it. I just got 2 standers. I plan on mounting an atv sprayer to one for fert work, just discovered this Aeration product today. Thanks for the video. I prefer liquid Aeration for a number of reasons but a lot of clients are stuck in the 90s and want mechanical core aeration. This would be a good compromise because I’m too old for a walk behind and I don’t want to add a $10,000 piece of equipment right now.
Liquid aeration isn't aerating, it is just a soul conditioner. Does that mean it's bad, no, they are fine , but there are many cheaper options that have the same chemicals. Chemical aeration does not dethatch, it does not ope holes 4 inches deep allowing so many good things to happen. But what do I know, only a chemist and been doing this 30 years.
I wonder if it would be better to aerate in a circle pattern, like the old lawn tractor way. Or tying the front wheels/castors back so they don't hit when going back and forth. Like a small bungee for something. But it maybe just a get use too with time. I like it though.
Hey brother, I'm not sure. It aerates great, but it is hard on my mower and very easy to damage the turf with the rear tires spinning out. It may work better on my bigger mower, or on a sit on zero turn? Honestly, I think I have decided to get a stand on aerator like a stinger 3000. I would love to tell you that it's the perfect attachment, and it may be great on a different machine, but I don't think I will keep it. I really enjoy your videos by the way.
HandyGuy 2016 I have a stand on I’m just tired of the maintenance... I talked to the guy in Richmond last week ... I’m looking at this or a couple of other options
I am interested in purchasing the aeration attachment that you are demonstrating where can I find one or phone can you please send me thanks in advance for your help
Ok it’s been a while since you posted this one. How’s it working out so far? I just bought the same aerator and I have the same 52” mower. Do you feel that it’s a good set up or would you not do it again if you had a choice? I haven’t mounted or ran the one I bought yet. I feel that if I need to I can get my money back out of it. I only paid $300 for it and it’s in great shape.
I love you videos by the way. I watched every one of them before I bought my Z3X. They helped me a lot. Now I gotta get my twills thy you talked me into on my Z3X lol 😂
just seen this video and now using for your second season what are you revised thoughts if any. I am thinking about buying one from Dttach Mfg who is selling them now. Pro's and Con's?
It works best on a sit on zero turn, because of the rear weight/traction ratio. I would recommend it as an option for quality core plug Aeration using a mower you already have vs buying a stand on aerator.
Too bad there wasn't a "float" position instead of having to lift your front tires ...noticed casters being in levitation caused the times to hook them, if it "floated" you could compensate with a weight attached on top and be able to allow your casters to actually assist and not year em up with the tines . Great post 👍
the reason the tines touched the front tires is a result of how he mounted the tool bar to the mower. it was intended to be mounted more forward than he has it, but due to the oscillating front axel, radius rods and related tinwork he improvised.
Thats outstanding I am looking to buy or make one myself not sure yet.
It's a cool addon, but needs to extend farther out. I saw the tines make contact with the front castor tires a couple times.
Yes, they did touch at the right angle, could be just an inch farther out.

I've got the newer zrator, gray in color, on my multi-force and absolutely love it!
Awesome 😎
I like your videos, need to watch more of them.

I think it is a matter of learning the proper technique and getting familiar with how it operates, especially in small areas.
@@HandyGuy2016 yeah it looks like a good learning curve. But having one less piece of equipment laying around is nice
Any update with the product? Thank you for making this video.
I sold it last year, but I made money with it while I had it. It is definitely built well also.
@@HandyGuy2016 Thanks for the reply, do you still offer aeration?
Yes I do. I use a tow behind aerator now.
We had this mounted on our Wright stander, it's to heavy, only works on flat ground, hydraulics overheat .
Yeah, I am about to sell it.
It is touching the front tires !
Looks like a little heavy i think I will go with the jerco one
It is heavy duty, I have not tried the JRCO aerator to compare.
I’m seriously thinking about one of these things... are you getting the hang of running it now ? Any issues?

I'm going to continue working with it and practicing technique, maybe I just need more practice? It's definitely cheaper than a stand on aerator.

@@PaulsPrimeCuts the reason I'm thinking about the stinger model, is because it is all hydraulic. No sprockets, chains, grease points, etc.
where can i buy one
Zrator.com

I'm actually thinking about selling mine and going back to a Agri Fab pull behind type. This unit is pretty hard on the hydraulics.
Thank you for the support, I really appreciate it.
@@HandyGuy2016 did you sell your aerator? I am interested
@@marcyounker6379 yes I did. It just wasn't efficient enough for me. I went back to a pull behind aerator.
Im making one of these
That’s Awesome!! Your vid are Awesome too!! Do u have a link to purchase Zrator ?
Zrator.com To order it, you need to call 866-476-8376 and talk to Bob. He will need to know the exact model you have to get the right adapter kit.

It works great, the only cons would be the handling of the machine it is mounted on and the space it takes up.
Where can I purchase the tine casters they only have the bracket online or does it come all in one piece?
Comes assembled in one piece.
How is this product working for you and would u suggest this?
It works best on a sit on zero turn, because of the rear weight/traction ratio. I would recommend it as an option for quality core plug Aeration using a mower you already have vs buying a stand on aerator.
Nice job
Do you still have this attachment and do you recommend it
No and not really. Didn't really work as well as I hoped.
Does this do better than your ride in pull behind? What do they cost?
It does work better, and $2100
Works better on my sit on zero, than my stander.
@@HandyGuy2016 Aeration isnt huge in my area of the south so I believe we are going to start with a tow behind for this season and go front there.
@@SouthernStyleLawnCare Yeah, the pull behind are a lot cheaper. Definitely go with a core plug type aerator, regardless of pull, push or ride on.
Did you make it or bought it?
I bought it from Zrator.
@@HandyGuy2016 price please.
I'm not sure what the current price is, but it was around $2000 3 years ago.
Where did you get this from?

All this thing did is cause too much head pressure for my stand on mower
That is the conclusion I came to as well after trying it for a while.
This is not god for the hydraulics I know …
