the flashbacks always feel just right because they always contextualize new information about the past which lets us go through the same realizations as the characters in real time. like stark realizing Eisen and his brother always thought of him as a hardworking warrior, or Frieren saying Sein reminded her of herself because Himmel had to do the same thing and drag her along the adventure
Its getting the pacing right. So many anime hamfist in the flashbacks and its jarring. This one just slips them in, and they get the point across and leave before overstaying their welcome.
I pretty much feel exactly as you do. The show really touched my heart, gave me such deep and wide ranging emotions that I don't think I'll ever forget. Frieren is the kind of show that just has it all. A Jack of all trades, except it's the King and Queen of all Trades.
I’m really happy to hear that. I think it made us feel a way that words can’t describe, emotions that can’t be easily conveyed with words. And that to me is just something that shows how good of a show it is
It's the fact that this show could've just been a nice slice of life with great characters and I still would have loved it but damn when there is action it just HITS
Pacing, seriously it nailed PACING properly. The other anime you named at the start also hit PACING properly. But Frieren might just have nailed it even better then anything before it. Nothing is wasted in it and everything builds on what came before it. Its just a masterclass and an evergreen product.
Evergreen is such a good way to describe it, I love it. I hope I’m the future others use frieren as an example of what to follow when it comes to pacing.
For real. We’re lucky if we get an arc like that to last 2 full episodes, and typically it still leaves us with questions. But frieren gave us like 3-4?? And it explained everything it needed to.
I agree with your selection of amazing scenes and especially the 10 one. Despite knowing what will happen, the way they handled that scene was incredible.
Amazing analysis ! was surprised to see the amount of interaction you got considering the quality of your content. Soo I just wanted to stop by and say, that I appreciate it and that keep up the heat work, and success will come eventually.
If comfort show had a definition, it would be Frieren for me.Frieren excels in every department, whether it's the background score, action, animation, or storytelling. I can't find a single flaw in Frieren it is truly a PERFECT show .
i read 1 chapter of frieren back in 2021 and i tell myself that i will wait for more because it have potential, 2 more year passed and i started listen to pre release OST from frieren even before watching anime and i can not wait for full release in sth about 2 weeks, CDs is must buy like from violet evergarden where Evan call did music too i highly recommend you to try it too. and about anime, for my this is lord of the rings of anime industry, thats all i need to tell.
Im trying to see how to make videos and enjoyed how you made yours, im really stuck between doing a voice over or showing my face as you did, I have a hard time finding time to edit videos with clips of the show, so I will just record myself talking but not sure if that resonates on yiutube with no anime clips
they dont mean the same thing though. apex means there is nothing higher. height just means it is far above. imagine standing below the Eiffel Tower staring upward at it, and you are in awe of how tall it is, you'd be admiring its height rather than its apex which you can't technically see. we also know at least 11 people are stronger than Frieren so its unlikely her magic is actually the apex.
Everyone's experience with Frieren. "Why's this boring looking anime shooting up the rankings? Weird." "Well, I'm caught up on everything. I guess I'll see what's next. Holy crap it's number 1 now? Fine." ... ... ... "Every human being should watch Frieren."
Yep. My roommate and I watched it basically on a whim after seeing memes about it. We were immediately hooked after the first episode (I nearly cried) and binged it. Then I proceeded to tell absolutely everyone I knew about it.
@@skeesh330 i watched it like 10 years ago and I have very mixed thoughts about whether I want to rewatch it as an adult now, because I'm afraid I ll be disappointed. but I remembered season 1 as quite boring and the second season which completely broke me. Man i love almost all works of Jun Maeda, angel beats is second with GDM band music witch was my peak of JP rock music until bocchi arrived
@@V1lkas I watched it for the first time maybe 3 years ago. I always thought of season 1 as a great way to get to know and connect with all of the characters. It makes season 2 infinitely more impactful. I don’t think you will be disappointed if you re watch it. I believe it holds up and most of the community seems to agree.

Exactly. They’re so crucial to the whole story and each characters development through the show.

Ep 12 was the most emotional scene that I can resonate with
It gave me such a like existential feeling it was like nothing I’ve experienced from an anime before.
This one easily slides into my personal top 3, amazing. Frieren is best gorl

I went from sobbing to feeling so happy. it made me care about the characters fast, it’s very relatable
My favorite part was the waltz between Stark and Fern.
That scene was so beautiful. They went so hard on the animation and made it look so fluid
My favorite scenes in terms of animation are stark vs demon lady (forgot her name), and ubel vs her clone
It's the fact that this show could've just been a nice slice of life with great characters and I still would have loved it but damn when there is action it just HITS
Episode 12, A Real Hero, is my personal favorite, it hits home too well

I knew Frieren was good but the Demon Arc specifically is what set it apart for me. I don't think I've ever seen such a perfectly paced 4 episodes.

Same here. It really is a masterpiece of anime . It makes me happy to hear how many people enjoyed it.

You know an anime is a masterpiece when fans talk about their favourite episodes of it
Well said Thumbs Up
Frieren its the meaning of masterpiece!

Just takes some time to find out what works for you as a creator. I enjoy videos with only clips but also those with half and half.
Also I prefer the Scanlators choice of "THE APEX OF MAGIC" , Height of magic does not role off the tongue right. APEX fits better.

fellow clannad "enjoyer" i see, well i will stay here for longer then
Clannad is peak 10/10

ive never watched most of those shows
You don’t have to watch them to understand their impact in anime dawg.
Sorry for me is frieren the worst and boring anime ever idk why so many like it 🫠
That’s a hot take
Exactly for the reasons in the video, it’s just a masterpiece in everything it does. I think your entitled to your opinion though
