Lately I wash all my molds as follows: Spray with alcohol if necessary. OR spray with Dawn Powerwash. Then rinse very well. The silicone seems to be like new and haven't ruined a mold so far using this method.

Love it! It is so hard to visualize sometimes (often 😆) how a resin project is going to look out of the mold. The dark blue lid doesn’t bother me, and the “apple “ is pretty with or without it!
You could remake the lid in the lighter blue, and then if it's not too much of a bother, remake the apple in the darker blue. Then you'd have two matched sets to either keep or sell, I suppose.
