In a caring and compassionate way, if you were born a girl and someone convince you otherwise, it was with intentions to destroy your life, they want you to fight against the way you were made and suffer all your life because you don't accept who you really are. Trans people are definitely valid and deserve space in society. I feel that this is a pushback on how a minority issue (it is true that trans people are still a minority on the whole) is over taking the needs and issues of the majority. Other issues are suffering now because of an over inflated idea of the size of this issue in society. That doesn't go to say that being trans and the suffering that comes with that is a minor issue, but that it is only a major issue for a small percentage and therefore should be representative of that. There is space for trans people and trans issues in society, but it feels like trans issues are overtaking a lot of issues that present for a much larger percentage of society.

(I'm not trans) but I understand the psychological effects of not being comfortable with your gender. Many out there will never understand the feeling of wrongness that trans people experience when thinking about their body/gender. It is super sad that many people don't have empathy for trans people, or for anyone different. In 6th grade I read a book about a boy wanting to be a girl and it really showed me how sad it is to be a trans person forced to stay their original gender. I feel empathy for you and everyone out there who is experiencing this and has experienced this.
I don't feel any hate about this comment, your experience in the world matters and I truly do hope you've found a way to live your life in a way that makes you happy. There are so many differences in each human that means the world can feel difficult - I have ADHD and endometriosis and felt so alienated at 18 when no doctor would believe me, but I was bedridden and couldn't live life like my peers. It's not the same, but it's relatable. I felt like no one was ever going to listen and tried to take my life because I felt I was worthless. Thankfully, a lot has changed for me since then and ultimately my life is great. My issue is not with trans people who have gender dysphoria and take the steps necessary to live a better life, but when the needs of a minority (which trans people are) over take the needs of the majority. There is space for everyone and there should be, but it should be representative and realistic. Not all children should be being taught about gender dysphoria from a very young age, just because a small percentage of them will experience it. There is a correct time and a place to educate kids on things like this and being kind and accepting of people who are different, and what to do if you feel different.

And if you do, I have never in my life seen or known a person who didn’t take care of a disease bc it had to do with a part of them that wasn’t the gender they associated with. Changing your gender doesn’t mean stopping taking care of yourself. Also, if you are committed enough, there are surgeries that can change your girl part or boy parts.

and this is where I feel bad for intersex people, because I've seen what true gender dysphoria looks like medically in a hospital. was like a damn house episode, but it was real. this kid looked like a boy, had all the right parts as far as anyone could see on the outside, and his parents were being told his issues were due to cryptorchidism, or undescended testicles. but on the inside, "he" didn't have any testicles. "he" had a uterus and ovaries and his body was trying to go through female puberty in an outwardly male body. kid was both himself and a twin they'd absorbed in the womb. very interesting form of chimerism and he didn't feel like a boy, he was attracted to men and felt very feminine and thought something was very wrong with him. they ended up HAVING to do surgery because the menstrual blood had nowhere to go and was making the kid very sick. I didn't get to see it all the way through, I moved, but when I left the kid was working with doctors to make his exterior pelvis look more like the female his body had clearly decide on being at puberty
You know what's interesting. Your own brain doesn't care about your bodies physical apparatus. If it tells you that you are the opposite gender it's going to believe that no matter how your body is laid out. This is common sense to most of us, but a lot of people need to hear this. Sorry, but it cuts both ways. You act like this is just a whim, but in almost all cases this is a deep biological drive that is directly tied to the actual physical characteristics of the person's brain. So telling them they can't live, and even get surgery to look like, what their brain says they are is wrong. You don't have to like it yourself, but telling them they are wrong to be themselves, as long as they aren't harming others, makes you the bad guy in the situation.
@arentol7 The problem is that can be fixed with growing up. Theyve done studies on it. Cases of body dismorphia end at around 18-25. Which is when your brain is fully developed. Obviously its a real problem, and nobody hates them for thinking they should be a different gender. People get mad when parents feed into it, like socially transitioning 10 year olds. Or when that one trans guy was illegally distributing hormone blockers to children

You know what's also interesting. Your own body doesn't care about your feelings, it doesnt care that you identify as the opposite gender. It's gonna do what it was biologically made to do. I know this is common sense to most of us, but a lot of people bwed to hear this.
and this is where I feel bad for intersex people, because I've seen what true gender dysphoria looks like medically in a hospital. was like a damn house episode, but it was real. this kid looked like a boy, had all the right parts as far as anyone could see on the outside, and his parents were being told his issues were due to cryptorchidism, or undescended testicles. but on the inside, "he" didn't have any testicles. "he" had a uterus and ovaries and his body was trying to go through female puberty in an outwardly male body. kid was both himself and a twin they'd absorbed in the womb. very interesting form of chimerism and he didn't feel like a boy, he was attracted to men and felt very feminine and thought something was very wrong with him. they ended up HAVING to do surgery because the menstrual blood had nowhere to go and was making the kid very sick. I didn't get to see it all the way through, I moved, but when I left the kid was working with doctors to make his exterior pelvis look more like the female his body had clearly decide on being at puberty
You know what's interesting. Your own brain doesn't care about your bodies physical apparatus. If it tells you that you are the opposite gender it's going to believe that no matter how your body is laid out. This is common sense to most of us, but a lot of people need to hear this.
Sorry, but it cuts both ways. You act like this is just a whim, but in almost all cases this is a deep biological drive that is directly tied to the actual physical characteristics of the person's brain. So telling them they can't live, and even get surgery to look like, what their brain says they are is wrong. You don't have to like it yourself, but telling them they are wrong to be themselves, as long as they aren't harming others, makes you the bad guy in the situation.
@arentol7 The problem is that can be fixed with growing up. Theyve done studies on it. Cases of body dismorphia end at around 18-25. Which is when your brain is fully developed. Obviously its a real problem, and nobody hates them for thinking they should be a different gender. People get mad when parents feed into it, like socially transitioning 10 year olds. Or when that one trans guy was illegally distributing hormone blockers to children

@@arentol7do you know a part of your brain controls the transmission of hormones so a female hypothalamus will send signal to a female’s body to release progesterone and ostrogen when they reach puberty or when then get pregnant so the brain has nothing to do with how they feel . it is common sense

@@meganpatrick6041 Nobody is forcing it in anyones faces. Trans people know that being trans is not a choice, so they wouldn't try to convince people to be trans or whatever you people think we do. And we aren't "transing the kids" either, we just tell them that it's ok to be queer.

We need an episode on the Men's mental health month: the most overlooked recognizing in history.
What an exaggeration. I recognize that many men struggle with mental health and their pain is real, but you are diminishing the very thing you seek to bolster by using it as a political weapon. Pride and Men’s Mental Health Month can coexist perfectly fine. Pride simply has a larger spotlight because it is a large celebration for the joy of a historically marginalized group. Men’s Mental Health might not get a big parade, but neither does women’s mental heath. There is no issue of equality to be found here, you’re just looking for a reason to be a pissy little homophobe.
