- Megan Fox had appeared in a few films by the time she was cast as Mikaela Banes in Transformers, but the Michael Bay-directed action film cemented her A-list status in Hollywood. Fox would appear again in the sequel, as well as plenty of other big-budget vehicles, but her comments about Bay’s dictatorial behavior on set didn’t go over well, and her career took a big hit. She has made some acclaimed comedic appearances in recent years, but she has definitely struggled to get back to where she was, so let’s take a look at the real reason why Hollywood dumped Megan Fox.

I did find it odd that she turned down a role where she's practically naked nearly the entire time. To be honest it was her beauty and "assets" that got her famous in the first place, and playing a superhero whos naked most of the time seemed like it would've been right up her alley (no pun intended).
I would argue it's plausible because a lot of men in their 30's still act like they are 15.

Many women have portrayed teenagers, some including Rachel McAdams was 27 on Mean Girls, Charisma Carpenter was 27 on Buffy (first season by the way, so by senior year, she was pushing 30), Alison Lohman portrayed a 16 year old at age 27 (same girl played a 13 year old at age 23 in Matchstick Men), Carey Mulligan was playing a 17 year old at 28 in the Great Gatsby, and Gabrielle Carteris was playing an 18 year old in Beverly Hills 90210, at age 30.

I think, and shut me off if you want to, Megan was courageous enough to speak out against Michael Bay, whose overbearing persona is legendary, and whose tyrannical demands of cast and crew on every one of his movies gives weight to Megan's claims of him being a Nazi type. Spielberg fired her out of unrealistic fear which a lot of Jewish people , though not all, share about being persecuted. Plus he has been hateful of strong women before, as his shouting match with Julia Roberts on the set of Hook proved in 1991. He had no right to fire Megan Fox for telling the truth. Megan had seemingly lost the fight, by Spielberg's twisted perception, but she actually has won the war. In future, you'll see the truth of what I say.

I thought she's a pretty good actress. Honest. She's gorgeous, so its often a big distraction, but none-the-less, her acting is pretty solid. I think the downfall was that her "attitude" stunk with Rockstar filmmakers like Michael Bay etc. This was just a glimpse, she demanded more pay, and didn't take orders from cocky directors well. I watched the Director's Cut of "Jennifer's Body". It is a completely different movie: we are not talking about some added or alternative scenes, but about a movie whose very plot was different from the theatrical version. And I liked it a lot. It could start a franchise like "Buffy" and "Supernatural". I wonder what happened.

Yes. I love NG, have been watching it since 2011. I was actually really excited the first time she showed up, coming across as a character on her own, super perceptive, bisexual (which is cool because we dont see much of that on tv), but as time went by her role quickly fell into the familiar pattern of hot girlfriend. I am sure that is mostly writers fault, but her acting did not help in my opinion. Her line delivery and facial expressions are always the same, and she just conveys very little, if any emotion. I do understand she was supposed to come across as sarcastic and "sane" compared to the other loft members, especially quirky Jess, but there is a difference between that and coming across as she is just reading her lines. This is my opinion and I respect that you think differently, but, like I said, I just cannot find a single scene of hers in which she blew me away, or at least made me think "wow, she surprised me". I will wait and see however, I think she can grow if she changes her approach.
To me she is still an attractive obstacle to Nick and Jess that will, now that they're back together, be forgotten the same way the other love interests in the show were. I would never say she, as a guest star, was on par with the main 5 who have been carrying the show for six years and crushing it, that's a stretch. However, I understand where you're coming from, so let's just agree to disagree. All the best.
