I could listen to your lessons, information all day! You’re so generous and genuine with how you present- and a heck of a great artist- thank you!
A Holbein that you turned me on to that I use, now even more than Paynes Grey is Neutral Tint. I am 72, retired, and started watercolor 4 years ago. UA-cam trained. Yours was the first tutorial I watched, so you are responsible for all of this 🤣
I’m so glad I found you!!!
BIG THANKS!!!!!
Thank you, E. You and Diane Antone are my lifeline to beginner watercolorist. ❤ Diane mentions you too 😊
Love you Ellen, you are great! Have taught me alot!
Thank you very much Ellen! Very in depth and I formative ❤
You are so welcome!
Thank you Ellen for your information I have taken note and will get busy purchasing those supplies that I have missing x
Thank you, Ellen!
you're welcome !!!
Lots of great info Ellen 👍 i really want to get a block of paper. Interesting too. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for sharing 😊❤
you're welcome !!
I need to make some changes to my travel palette colors...your list gave me a ton of ideas. Thank you
your welcome!
Again thanks to you for teaching me so much about all things art and color! You are amazing and great to listen too, my own teacher in my kitchen! Karen Dirmish , learner!
Thanks for sharing this info
You’re welcome ☺️
That Holbein Cobalt Blue got squeezed within an inch of it's life LOL!
I love the Princeton 40/50 series too. 25.00 for 4 brushes on Amazon
Awesome 😎
Thanks for sharing 🙂
Thanks! I use a lot of holbein as well. Great to see all your “go to” supplies. I was anxious to see the pallet you mentioned that you would show at the end though….😁
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I learned a lot . 24:37
Really glad to see this. It helps a lot. I am trying to get started with watercolor. I am a complete beginner who watches a lot, but never gets to it! 😬
oooh that's a lot of princeton brushes! I only have 2 but they're so good 😍
Yes they are!
This is so comprehensive! Thank you. I will save this for future reference 😊
So good and informative. Love product recommendations from my favorite YT artists. Thank you. Also you can make a watercolor block easily with acrylic medium. Just clip edges of a pad with clips and slather sides with medium gel. Leave the opening like on a purchased block. And I am totally with you on being a carry-on girl. Haven't checked a bag in years. I like Creative Mark brushes, the Mimik 12 and the Polar Flow 14. I never buy brushes that use animal hair because welll animals... and I'm not a pro who would need a brush that expensive. 😂
Thank you. Very helpful.
Thank you so much!
Love this video. I recently traveled and found I took way too many supplies. I took note and will reduce the number of items to lighten my carryon load as well.
Thank you for sharing , nice video.
Question…. Since Prussian blue is considered fugitive (fades in light recovers in darkness), do you have a suggestion of a color to replace that one in the three colors?
I hope you mention white and gold pens 😂😂
I show the pens I don’t use a particular brand I bought them in NYC at the Japanese book store so you can’t find them that I know of but many art stores carry gold and white pens.
Yup! I saw that, thank you! I’ve bought so many on Amazon and none seem to be reliable… it’s the only option in rural southern Italy!
@ellencrimitrent what is the name of the NYC Japanese bookstore?
How about a James gurney style easel
If you told Arches you would like the other shape and size sketchbook, they would probably make it!
I think you mean Etchr - I am not sure about that! 😂
aux contraire mon fraire- there is a superior type of paper towel- VIVA are the bestest! IMO. I love them. Oh question. How long does that masking fluid last you (like how many years is it good). I heard they go bad fast. Thanks!
Thank you for all your posts! I'm new to watercoloring: my 2024 retirement challenge!! 😊
I decided to do birthday cards for all my friends. Each card forces me to try a different technique and the subject is something dear / meaningful to the recipient. So, very challenging and not letting me perfect any one technique yet! But I'm loving the challenge! Is there a "block" of paper that is card size? I'm currently using prefolded watercolor paper that has envelopes. I think I'd like to switch to a block for better control of the paper, better quality paper, and buy envelopes separately. Do you have any recommendations?
Toothpaste works likes glue sticks also
Good to know!!
I had an issue buying an aqua elite where my local art store- they insisted it was a short round-- it was.... but with a long striper center. They didnt differentiate in there system between long/ short brush hairs and handle. So there was no way for me to buy a short short. Gah!
Thank you for the information regarding your watercolour supplies. Holbein watercolours are not available in Sweden, (but can be bought via Amazon at a rather high price). Do you have any comparison between Holbein and Winsor&Newton (which is my standard artist watercolour brand)?
Can you purchase via Jackson's Art in the UK and ship to Sweden? They sell Holbein Watercolors.
@@Mirrigold I do not know, I have never checken if that is possible, but I will check. Thanks
🎉👍❤️
