This song save my life, three years ago it is my first time to leave my home to study in another place so it is my first time to live in a boarding house and sometimes I was alone and sometimes not but wherever I go, I feel so alienated because I don't really know the place too well, even it's a big city, I don't like it and because of loneliness I liked to go home in my boarding house late at night without talking to somebody while walking at the boulevard searching for beautiful seaview, it's so sad and then I discovered this song because UA-cam was always recommended me this song for very long time, and I said to myself why not give it a try , and I quickly fall in love with the intro, so whenever I played this song it completes my day, pulled me away from loneliness and that is the power of music and that is the power of the 1975

I agree! In the movie True Romance, the main character girl (Alabama) writes "you look so cool" on the napkin and I strongly suspect this is where Matty took inspiration from for that line.

I think everyone interprets this song in a different way .-. Not everyone finds the same meaning in songs and if he did write the song about that, then that's what he wrote this song about but for me, and to whoever else, this song interprets and describes something different.
