This is some bullcrap that games have been doing for years now when it comes to games and DLC. They make a half ass game, and then want you to pay more to complete the game via the DLC instead of just doing it right the first time. There's no use for T2 characters, so why are they stalling? The game is at T4 now. If I can pay 7,700 crystals for an update, then I'm more than likely a player that is far beyond T2 characters. The only way a T4 Cyclops makes sense is if he is free via doing the Epic Quest.
I bet dollars the reason they wont let you craft multiple chests, and the reason they keep you clicking on missions page by page by page to clear them is so they keep you logged on for as long as humanly possible.

BIG OOF. I tuned in late to the live stream, saw cyclops t4, andimmediately thought they jumped the shark. He's a support character, and can *** ALREADY *** be used as is in content that t4s shine in. So now t4s aren't necessarily useful. Shark jumped. A uniform and total rework for him could've made a difference. 😢
If no one spends for a few months the devs will listen. The biggest issue is people run to buy up everything rather than making them sweat it out for releasing bs. Net marble and MFF is about to be a distant memory.
I have some hope for the deluxe bundle price being normal because for the last epic quest(eternals) they said it would be 5k each but they reduced it to 4.4k
If memory serves, the last uniform Cyclops got came out in the same update as Jean Grey getting a villain uniform, Tier 4 striker slot, and "World Boss Legend" stage. That might also line up with when I was saving up for Magneto, which could factor into why I never got his new uniform. Despite it being the only uniform for him that I don't outright avoid due to personal reasons. But now with him getting a Tier 4 striker slot, and most likely a ranking event that gives premium crystals, I might finally get around to investing in it. Especially if what I remember from the stream about mutant uniforms getting a discount proves true.
Haven't seen anyone mention the issue with MFF still having the 6000 cap on m'kraan crystals and Phoenix feathers, which is dumb especially with upgrading the new characters. Why even have the limit on them?!!
This is one of the most baffling updates I've seen. While good to see the new characters, the other content is in question. I definitely agree that still having t2 characters at this stage is bizarre, cuz aside from a small few that serve leadership/ support roles in abx and abl, they serve little purpose. And if cyclops got his t4 shortly during the destiny of x update or even a month after would be okay, but a year already? Unlike Jeans uni, it doesn't hold up aside from the lead and support buffs. An update I may wait on

Late to the party, but as a developer for a completely different system that has some things that parallels the functionality we see in those menus, you are a more or less right about the time investment to update the 'quality of life' things in this update, especially for the kind of dev that is working on this game. We talk about the devs like there's a team of a dozen people working on the animations and character design and everything, but I'd be interested in knowing if the number is closer to half a dozen or fewer. There may not be a large enough team on this game to do more than the bare minimum they do, and someone in charge is under orders to stretch things like the T2 crap out as long as possible. Honestly we may be fairly stuck with what we have, just because there's not enough dev time to do more unless it's the anniversary update or something similarly important. Much simpler to copy paste.
The only way to salvage this update in outside of giving Exodus tier 3 is the tracking missions for this epic quest have to drop tier 3 materials like DD and TCP

And research payouts I'm sure, farm and save them like I have (and you did clearly by seeing your Inventory in your other video). Cyclops? He has a lot of uniforms, just saying. "Maybe" they will have a sale? More what you said about Native T2's though. Yeah. There is no reason to not release chars at T3/Transcended anymore. They will just need to be levelled up later so it's silly. New/More stuff is a pro imo no matter what. X-Men for me and others is a pro as diehards. We get jacked on mutants because they know how popular they are. Expected. The thing I "think" is going to go over is I see 2 if not 3 characters with Phoenix here. Rachael and Maddie but "maybe" Hope since that's a thing in the comics (edit: Yup, I see the Phoenix trait on Hope's screen). And I'm all about reasonable FemCombat with Mutant, I've said it before. And Combat actually that is playable. I always feel like I'm lacking there while I have more Universals then I can select in a day. Albeit downsides I'm into it. It's been kind of a drag and I'm just going through the motions on play days, usually Auto or Clear and doing something else in my house in the meantime. We'll see if it really is a frustrating thing. As before the big aggravation for me is characters that can only be acquired via Ally Shifter/Rank Up Tickets and must be ranked up in order to proceed. It's doable but it's big time boring imo. Else I literally requested Exodus not long ago so I'm just looking forward to that.
I'm tired, Alex. I'm burnt out. I haven't played in months. It takes too long to T4 a character and it doesn't feel rewarding enough. I know Netmarble was trying to keep more of the audience around but the grind to T4 is too much. I'm not invested anymore. I just log in, get my crystals and then leave again. This Epic Quest does not look good to me.

At least we will get more than 1 new characters in new update, i think it's the first time since a long time, even though it's kind of bum that 2 of the new characters are simply a copy of Jean Grey, i was hoping we get upgrade for Apocalypse, Nighcrawler, Omega Kid instead
If they did things such as making the deluxe packages 1/2 price eg. 19.99 and 2500 crystals, make characters such as prof x, mystique, rachel summers etc at least 1050 crystals each, make in game purchases 50-75% cheaper, permanently increased RNG and made tier 3 and tier 4 materials so much easy to aquire most people would enjoy the game more.
The epic quest deluxe pack being 7.7k crystals disappointed me. Like compared to the Dark Reign epic quest, which had more new characters and was 6.6k crystals like the ones before, it doesn't really make sense. Will have to see the rewards I guess, but knowing their track record, I am keeping my expectations low.
I'm VIP 20 and this is a very hard pass for me. Almost 8 years later this game has been going downhill for 3. This use to be a great game smh😢! Very great content Alex!
They should have added a collect all for Dispatch Missions it would make it a better feature so you collect and move on and not sit for 5 minutes going thought 13 different screens

I'm more than willing to shell out the $50 (not the 7700 crystals), but if I'm not able to get Rachel for free, what's the point. Getting her genes can take you a day to years depending on the rng. I'm not shelling out 4500 crystals just to acquire her similar to when they sold her during the last black friday sale.

Nah native t4 is a bit too much, in my opinion a native tier 3 that can go to t4. Or simply give goblin queen the t4 now, and then in the mid month give exodus t4.

Yeah I just bought Magneto last year, so it will probably be 2025 before I buy Hope Summers. Also I am also disappointed about Exodus Tier-2, Cyclops no uniform and Hope's inflated cost; looking like their worst Epic Quest yet.
Not gonna lie the New Blessing was the part that ruined for me since and the end of the day the good part of a Epic is that it will keep you busy por a little bit with some new mutants. Strongly believe a we are gonna get the uniform for Cyclops and the T3 for Exudos at the midmonth but since the update is going at the middle of the month I will rather have the whole thing in on one and have something new by the beginning of the next one
The live stream of the update is gonna be kinda lame you're gonna be able to transcend Rachael, Kod Omega and Hope and that's only if you use an upgrade ticket. That's it. You'll hit the first roadblock in the EQ and we'll spend the rest of the time talking about all the reasons we won't T4 cyclops.

The hopium side of me thinks the new deluxe pack will allow us to farm lots of t3 materials or maybe even card crafting or CTP reforging materials, that’s why they raised the crystal cost, but I’m sure in reality it’ll just be feathers and mkraan crystals…

At least we will get more than 1 new characters in new update, i think it's the first time since a long time, even though it's kind of bum that 2 of the new characters are simply a copy of Jean Grey, i was hoping we get upgrade for Apocalypse, Nighcrawler, Omega Kid instead
If they did things such as making the deluxe packages 1/2 price eg. 19.99 and 2500 crystals, make characters such as prof x, mystique, rachel summers etc at least 1050 crystals each, make in game purchases 50-75% cheaper, permanently increased RNG and made tier 3 and tier 4 materials so much easy to aquire most people would enjoy the game more.
Maybe they are waiting for a X-Men 97 update to do a new Cyclops uniform? *fingers crossed*
The epic quest deluxe pack being 7.7k crystals disappointed me. Like compared to the Dark Reign epic quest, which had more new characters and was 6.6k crystals like the ones before, it doesn't really make sense. Will have to see the rewards I guess, but knowing their track record, I am keeping my expectations low.
Im hyped for this update but also bummed out because im not a necessarily a pay to win and this is going too be expensive.
2023: overall bad year for updates but it will definitely be better next year.

They should have added a collect all for Dispatch Missions it would make it a better feature so you collect and move on and not sit for 5 minutes going thought 13 different screens

I'm more than willing to shell out the $50 (not the 7700 crystals), but if I'm not able to get Rachel for free, what's the point. Getting her genes can take you a day to years depending on the rng. I'm not shelling out 4500 crystals just to acquire her similar to when they sold her during the last black friday sale.

Alex, I think the best we can hope for is that Scott is a 1/4 or a 1/3 of the cost to Tier 4......that's all I got.

Yeah I just bought Magneto last year, so it will probably be 2025 before I buy Hope Summers. Also I am also disappointed about Exodus Tier-2, Cyclops no uniform and Hope's inflated cost; looking like their worst Epic Quest yet.
Not gonna lie the New Blessing was the part that ruined for me since and the end of the day the good part of a Epic is that it will keep you busy por a little bit with some new mutants. Strongly believe a we are gonna get the uniform for Cyclops and the T3 for Exudos at the midmonth but since the update is going at the middle of the month I will rather have the whole thing in on one and have something new by the beginning of the next one
The live stream of the update is gonna be kinda lame you're gonna be able to transcend Rachael, Kod Omega and Hope and that's only if you use an upgrade ticket. That's it. You'll hit the first roadblock in the EQ and we'll spend the rest of the time talking about all the reasons we won't T4 cyclops.
