When I search on UA-cam what gear to use with my electribe, or what sound to get from it, I always end up on your channel 😆✌🏼

I should really get my Electribe out of hibernation. I've got the exact same custom masking tape pad shortcut labels on mine! Great device let down by poor support and a couple of questionable design decisions from Korg.

Totaly agree with you. I think exactly the same . Poor support and some bad design decisions. But by the other hand it is a nice device

I still love mine for quick techno jams. Now with hacktribe and the lag IFX its so much fun for live techno.

@@petert7807 Is hacktribe relatively stable? Waay back in the day I swapped my sampler firmware to synth back and forth a few times which was fun, but I'm generally hesitant to mess with firmware too much.

@@Sypher474I haven't had any troubles. But there are reports of people bricking there electribes. Its not perfect, but neither was the original OS. But for me it unlocks the timing alot, and completes the electribe workflow for me.

@@petert7807 Always going to be a slight risk of bricking, but sounds worth it. As long as it's not crashing during use, I'm willing to risk it. Cheers for the info, time for some research! Any particular resources you'd recommend?

I hope Korg gives us a new electribe sampler. The E2 and E2S don't sound as good as the previous models. My E2S had a factory ground loop, and the sampling workflow was not streamlined. I would also love to see a couple more outputs. Having the ability to send the kick, bass, and stereo mix on isolated outputs would be perfect. Roland's MC boxes send audio over USB I think. That's also pretty tight. Even though I kinda think the current electribes are obsolete at this point, they're still fun boxes.

I have exactly the same wishes 😅 plus 8 bars. Old MC's was costing 5 times more than this Korg, more options obviously, more outputs, better sequencer... New Mc has new technology, I guess new korg drumlogue send audio as well, but Do you really need that when you already have stereo outputs? Will you pay more for that? I would like to buy some old Roland MC, they has some nice sequences, like Yamaha, no step limitation. but sadly most of them are big as tanks 😂. I love Korg because is so simple and straight to program them ( I heard very bad comments about Roland about that subject) No menu diving at all, they are cheap, small, and quite flexible even more than nowadays machines. It isn't an high quality, full trendy function and impressive machine, but it is has a good quality balance. Although It has hundreds of bad things as well.
