Story time! This board has caught my eye as soon as Akko announced it on their socials, I'm aware that this is one of Akko's higher end keeb, I didn't hope for a chance to try it out for a review.
So when Akko offered it up for a review, I was like, hell yeah! lol. But oh boy, this board did not disappoint. Yes, It's hefty at $199, not so pocket friendly for beginners, but dang.

3:03 still haven't seen many makers make a full rgb matrix keyboard like mine - there are quite a few reasons why, mainly due to the cost and time it takes to do.

You’re really talented!! Not just with building, but with editing your videos as well (assuming you do!!)
Akko is a very interesting company, and I think they’re very uniquely positioned, as a company, in the market. There isn’t really anyone like them.
(I know this is WAY easier said, than done), but I really wish they would focus more on the quality of their boards, and not their “bottom line” (profit margins) so much.
I know that (granted, it is my personal OPINION), saying this is a “hot take.” But, seeing them be in business for so long now, gives me better confidence that they have the resources to compete with companies like Qwertykeys (OwlLabs) and Meletrix (Wuque Studios) - both the “sister companies of them companies they are “under.” There’s so much potential here!
I truly believe, the mere fact that they could even AFFORD to manufacture this keeb (with, essentially, ZERO guarantee that they would sell ANY), is a clear indicator m that they have access to a LOT of resources.
In addition, since they (clearly) have the ability (money) to create a whole new mounting system, they maybe just need to hire (aka, just poach 😂😂), a great designer from a reputable brand, and they will have the framework to become the next Mode, OwlLabs, or even GrayStudios - three (extremely) unique and successful companies. They just need to take that leap of faith

no, not really. its good stock TBH. i'm just being extra with lubing all my switches

I feel like this board is one of the reasons why Akko decided to make a sister brand, as they want to compete in the higher end market by using Akko as their flagship brand and monsgeek as their budget option.

how do you like the heavy switches vs the regular 62g springs?
hmm, actually i prefer 35gf-50gf .
were the stabs lubed? they sounded nice even for plate mount. also does the pcb have options for screw in stabs?
they were. i lubed the housing with krytox and dielectric on the wired. added holee mod on it too!
the pcb got soo many holes that i had to do a second look for screw-in stabs support. bus yes, it seems to have holes for screw-ins

This sounds like nearly every board I've seen you post. try it without the switch foam layer. It has the same sound otherwise. I actually want to see if it has a decent sound without it

@@mczstudio actually...what things included in the box doesnt really mean you should stuff them all in the board, actually I kinda agree all foam boards (anything with foam, PE foam, case foam, plate foam) will sound exactly the same...on any board. What ppl call it, marbly, poppy? that's basically the recipe needed, foam. It would be more interesting if you try to modify and doing more variations of config because I believe that's what majority what ppl looking for these days. But your videos are good tho, god job on that
