Always thought it was lovely how the Hoff got Edward Mulhare in an episode of Baywatch Nights too....
The last appearance of Mr Mulhare was right before his death in 97 I believe
I remember that episode
I heard about that episode, but never saw it. I also have a feeling the Team Knight Rider episode involving KRO (Knight Reformulation One) was written with Mulhare in mind for the role of the Knight executive, but he passed away before it was filmed.
LOVELY
Yes he did,I saw it.It was a silly episode but good to see Edward.
I wondered if it was going to be an “A Team titles” style cameo (where Face looked confused as a Cylon walks past in Universal Studios) 😊. Missed opportunity for the Hoff to have walked past KITT and done a silent double take 🤣
KITT is everywhere! I always love it when other shows mention Knight Rider
I remember the reference to the amphibious vehicle. In my memory the lifeguard driving says "This car can do anything." To which David asks "Can it talk?" The lifeguard replies no. Then David says he's not interested. Loved that scene. I'm surprised I never heard him actually say knight rider on the series when you've caught 2 instances. I remember learning CPR from David on the series when he's giving a class to a bunch of new recruits. I watched an interview where he say a child saved the life of his parent because of that episode.
Awesome
Episode was just on. The lifgaurd was going over everything that it could do and says. "The only thing it can't do is talk!" To where Mitch replies, "Talk? Forget it."
Mitch Buchannon: Who are you ?
Michael Knight: I’m Michael Knight, but who are you ?
Mitch Buchannon: I’m Mitch. You look a lot like me.
Michael Knight: I thought the same. We could be twins brothers.
Garth Knight: Am I a joke to all of you ?
Mitch and Michael: *Yes !*
Now you're reminding me of the Baywatch movie, where Mitch pops up and talks to Mitch. It was strange but very funny.
I think there's a reference of Knight Rider in Baywatch's spin-off show: Baywatch Night's. There's a scene where Hasslehoff is riding a red sportscar and their about to enter a warehouse. His partner suggest that they should drive through the main gate by going really fast like KITT. But Hasslehoff changes his mind at the last second.
Awesome! Any idea what episode?
@@KnightRiderHistoriansOfficial I can't really say, not a fan of the show. But, every time I think of this TV series that scene is all I can think of.
Season 1 episode 2 Bad Blades ( Baywatch nights)
@@josifmanevski7360 I just watched the episode, thats the one. Thanks
How amazing.,it just shows how Knight Rider gets everywhere.
Hasselhoff: Aw, another day of duty at the beach. Bright sun, glamorous sea, babes and dudes just hanging, and... Hey, what's that? Is that... KITT?!?
KITT: Hello Michael. Missed me?
Hasselhoff: Yeah! By the way, it's not Michael anymore. It's Mitch. Mitch Buchanan.
This was great... Loved seeing David trying to be a daddy to the baby.... LOL
I remember the one with Harvey and Mitch, always hoping KITT would show up. 😅 Anyways, I enjoyed Baywatch for other attributes than Knight Rider. 😁
You mean like the compelling storylines? Got it ;)
@@KnightRiderHistoriansOfficial 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
@@KnightRiderHistoriansOfficial Yes, indeed. Especially when the storylines included a lot of slow motions. 😉
@@MotorScotti 2 words, Yasmine Bleeth!!!🔥
I remember that one too
When I think of “The Hoff” I think of KITT the Trans Am. They will always be a crime fighting duo and friendship, just like Bo and Luke and The General Lee and The Lone Ranger and Silver.
2:55 KITT: I'm reduced to this brief cameo? How insulting! And I'm parked right by water too. Could've restored my Aquatic Synthesizer and reused that. April left a long time ago, though it was never made clear where she went. But at least she wouldn't have been around to remove my water wings this time.
KITT: I'm always ready. I won't let you out of my sight.
Mitch Bucannon in kitt..🤣🤣
Your clickbait never ever dissapoints me! loved it!
So if Knight Rider is a TV show in the Baywatch “reality”, has no one, not even Mitch, ever noticed just how similar he looks and sounds to Michael Knight (or the actor who plays Michael Knight)!?
maybe its another actor playing Michael?
I always thought Mitch’s jeep was a Knight Rider Easter egg. All black and shiny with a red symbol on the front. Definitely gave me K.I.T.T. Beach Edition vibes!
Very cool, all the times I’ve watched Baywatch I never knew
The episode that had Jay Leno , Leno says to someone no the car actually drives by itself / talks or something to that affect
I don't know if this counts as an actual reference. But in Baywatch Nights Season 2 Episode 13 'Frozen Out of time' Guest star Edward Mulhare says the line 'All systems fully automated and functioning within programmed parameters' and it sounded very Devon-like
The moment you began talking about the Baywatch episode at around the 2:20 mark, my memory circuits kicked in and I remembered it had a long musical montage before I remembered the details from it.
Cool. I have a memory of an episode where Mitch meets Jay Leno. As Jay Leno comes walking towards Mitch he is talking to another person and one thing he is saying are "so the car really talks". But I can not find it on UA-cam. Episode talk show from 1997
There is a slight reference to Kitt at the end of a Baywatch episode. A guy drives up and Mitch (Hasselholf) is told the car does everything but talk. He looks and says 'forget it then' and both actors laugh and it cuts to the credits.
I remember seeing a yellow Trans Am with KITT's Scanner
To The Knight Rider Historians,
You don't think that both Yasmine Bleeth and Alexandra Paul's characters last name Holden is coincidental to Knight Rider's alum, Rebecca Holden?
Probably not, but its nice to think about!
While not a Knight Rider reference directly, I do remember one episode of Baywatch, the final few lines before the fade out to credits had Mitch and someone else talking about B list celebrities and the name David Hasselhoff was spoken and Mitch is heard saying "He's very popular in Germany" just as the show ends. I don't remember which season or episode, somewhere around 1996.
AFAIK KITT made an appearance in an episode of Half Nelson, too.
In the story, it was a studio car which was secretly borrowed him by a friend at the studios.
I think one is RIGHT under our nose...the scene with the baby right before he said Knight Rider, he used the word "pal". That's not a coincidence.
I can't help but think by the time of Baywatch the Hoff kind of wanted to leave Knight Rider behind I don't think he hated the show I think he was just terrified of being typecast.
It seems like it took David a long time to embrace Knight Rider once again
David whether you like it or not you gave a bunch of kids from the 1980s something fun from their childhood that they still haven't forgotten and there's still a lot of us who still think you are cool
David should have just told them in season one I'll stick to Knight Rider.
yeah also theirs another thing you always have to take in with a show and an actor like this, is that if their is one thing they dislike its being reminded by something they've left behind till their ready while their working on something else, as while the camera starts and stops and we can view those episodes and in some cases movies many many times like it happened yesterday
they lived it once, got through it and more often than not given the nature of their work, never went back to it, let alone saw the finished product, given how busy they were and the thing that brings them back to want to do more is their experience working on the set and missing those people that they worked with
and kinda missing how it brought joy to people
which is why honestly as a parralel to this as a star trek fan I was never big on the idea of conventions or meeting those people who worked and acted in it while some people like the trekyards people were big into it, like I enjoy their work, I appreciate it, but the truth enthuasts were usually the behind the scenes people who worked or built the stuff
while the actors its very rare to find someone who worked on the show, was a key lead and is an enthusiast about it
hence the term and the warning dont meet your heroes and the premise of Galaxy Quest, as its not really the fault of either party, actor or fan that meeting like that doesnt work out, its just the nature of the business, the actors blues
as they gotta put food on the table too by continuing to work till they find the next big spark in their career, and you just gotta respect that and give them their space.
both of which hollywood is terrible at doing, hence why I think we dont see alot of 80's actors working anymore given the nature of the internet and how privacy invading its become, where just one bad day or a bad mouth off and your through
when back in the old days it was like okay whatever, and who can blame them for not wanting to work in that environment.
That is the same reason what David Duchovny stated about X files.
It's funny: I can remember watching an episode of KR with my cousin who's 10 yrs younger than me and when he saw Hasselfhoff he goes: "I know him, he's on Baywatch. How did he get a show like this?" Most people have seen David Hasselfhoff on TV before and depending on whom you ask, it's either Baywatch or Knight Rider. Michael Knight is from my generation.
Im not from ur generation but i know him from knight rider
Not quite the beginning of The A-Team, but I'm impressed.
Great video there, always found the Knight Rider references in Baywatch good. Couldn't believe this find the other week with KITT. The one where Mitch jumps the lifeguard truck is season 6, Episode 3 titled Hot Stuff. I've always thought that's a Knight Rider tribute in that scene. Not 100% but I'm sure there's another reference in Baywatch when Mitch is on a chat show with Jay Leno, season 7 after Stephanie's death episode. Sorry can't remember episode # sure it was called Talk Show. I'm slowly working my way through the seasons...
Great video! Thanks for doing this, brought back some memories lol!
That movie producer looked like Dewey Hogg from the Dukes of Hazzard.
It is Jeff Altman
You mean Hughie Hogg... Another Dukes fan
Never really watched a single episode of Bay Watch. Always thought it was too much a soap opera. Nice to see the KR references though.
Very nice!
Question.. in the episode when KARR was found on the beach.. why was KARR painted silver on the bottom below the trim?
I think John painted him or the people keep getting confused and changed his color
In the Spin-off "Baywatch Nights", in episode 13 of the Second Season "Frozen Out of Time", broadcast on February 9, 1997, Edward Mulhare appeared as a guest actor, being the last time he appeared on screen with Hasselhoff , since he would die shortly after. :(
I find it hard to believe that so few people are subscribed. 😱 C'mon people let's go!! Joe needs to keep Baywatch Historians going!! ... Oops, I mean Knight Rider Historians 😉
Season 5, episode 12. 27 minutes in and Hasselhoff whistles the Knight Rider theme.
To The Knight Rider Historians,
I'm surprised at you Joe, out of all people, you even been interviewed by the man himself, Jay Leno. He made his appearance on S7 E14 of "Talk Show" where Mitch and Cody rescued a Jenny Jones wannabe from the beach, and Jay pitched an idea of a show having a talking car talk to its owner (Knight Rider) reference.
I know!! Can't believe we forgot that one!!
Is English your first language? Your comment is incomprehensible.
I liked how you used the lyrics from I'm Always Here.
great video, there's so much variety on this channel.
David and Edward, were together in a episode. It may have been Edwards very last acting role before he died, Not sure if it was a Baywatch spin off thing. It was either 1996 / early 1997.
Mitch jumping a truck on the beach is totally a KR ref if.... he looks over his shoulder afterwards!
that was great..i do remember the second mention on your list but not the others...
In 1993 The Hoff in his Baywatch guise did appear in a New Order video, filmed on the LA beach - for the single "Regret." Alas he got out of a Lifeguard vehicle but not KITT sadly.
Still love how he broadsides into the carpark in kitt! 😉👍
Maybe in the Baywatch universe, Don Johnson stars in Knight Rider.
So who was Sonny Crockett in that uni? I know: Jeffrey Osterhage.
@@1AstralKing Or Larry Wilcox
@@edgarrobinson7725 Now that you mention it, he’d have made a great Crockett.Maybe in that world Ponch is his partner too instead of both of them on CHiPs.
The funniest part is that thumbnail is not even kitt on the beach. It's karr the enemy of kitt on his first episode in the series.
Michael Knight was giving Mitch Buchannon's appearance lol
Also in the episode "Talk Show" from Season 7, Ep014 - Jay Leno appears as a guest star and mentions, "This show will be different because the car talks. See the guy actually gets into the car and the car talks, it's a great idea for a show." This is obviously a reference to Knight Rider. =o)
Also Season 11 EP01 is called "Soul Survivor" (a more obscure connection of course)
Thanks Nick! Absolutely no idea why that one slipped our mind, thats one of our favorites!
I kept thinking there was an episode where Mitch hums the Knight Rider theme as he’s walking into a room ..I can’t remember the episode.
I would love to see that episode of Baywatch Nights with Mulhare….I also wanted to say that its really awesome how you put the episode commercials in the commentary. Keep up the good work!!
Nice references :) I remember in the 90's watching the episode, where they said that the only thing the car doesn't do is talk :D
Funny to think what kind of Baywatch episode could've been if Michael Knight (with KITT of course) had met Mitch Buchanan :D Probably at first thinking he's Garthe, but realizing Mitch is good guy, I bet they would get along nicely :)
Wasn't that the racing episode
Maybe
@@karr203 It is mentioned in this Knight Rider Historians episode ;)
Think the truck jumping over fire was season 6 episode 3 ‘Hot Stuff’. It wasn’t on the beach but in the woods to rescue Hobie and a group of blind kids.
I had a dream that William Daniels was in one of episode of Baywatch.
Not for nothing..but I saw KITT on St elsewhere s final scene ...McDaniels walked right in front of him.
0:42 fetch the surfboard KITT!
Another great video. 🔥
Gosh i didnt know michael knight and that lady was related
That subscriber chart is backwards! 23% should be the subscribers and the 76% should be the non-subscribers. lol
I noticed that too. I checked comments to see if I was the first. Good catch and TKH will need to fix and reupload this video.
The only NBC season of Baywatch aired the same time as the final season of knight rider 4 years ago. Fridays at 8
Thank you for sharing your very interesting video I am watching from South Africa
Wasn't there a farewell ceremony of Baywatch and Hoff ended it by saying, and not one episode with a talking car....
Is this a possible teaser of a future Baywatch Historians channel?
Definitely not!
😂 I can't wait to see the collection of screen used ocean.
@@FirstDan2000 I was thinking swim trunks and swimsuits deep dives. Who wore what on what episode.
What about in Baywatch Nights when Edward Mulhare guest starred? That counts, right? lol
I haven't watched Baywatch since the 90s, so my memories can't be 100% relied upon but I'm sure in one of the Christmas episodes (something about an old guy in a white beard on vacation with a bunch of little people) where one of the lifeguards whistles the knight rider theme tune
Your right. That was David aka Mitch that whistled KR 😀 forgot about that.
hasslehoff whistled the KR theme after coming down the stairs… it was in part 2 of the christmas episodes.
im late to this video but , wasnt there and episode where Mitch (DH) walked by a black trans am , touched the t-top area , smiling and said something about "maybe in another life" or something? talking to one of the other life guards while coming to work?
Not that we know of!
There is an Reference on Baywatch where Mitch is in the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and leno is talking about Knight rider, he is saying that the car is actully talking and so, season 7 episode 14 Baywatch
Good video anything Kitt is welcomed
I came here after seeing the amphibious vehicle episode. "Can it talk?"
Good Stuff
I always hoped they'd do a scene with Mitch and Stephanie walking through a parking lot and have them walk past an '82 Trans Am and a '58 Plymouth Fury.
How about that! Cool stuff, thanks for sharing.
Oooooh! I didn’t didn’t knew about this I knew they would be night rider easter eggs!
in other David Hasselhoff shows such as this one haha XD
Was there ever a video done of Kitt's original "voice box"? The square block that entirely lit up.
Not yet!
@@KnightRiderHistoriansOfficial I'll be looking forward to that video.
Haven't watched Baywatch in years.
Interesting. Didn't realize there were several references of Knight Rider. I did see that Edward Mulhare appeared on an episode which was cool to see.
Oh,THAT kind of jumping..
Hi! Thanks, for all your outstanding work! I have a question: Will you keep the background music in the upcoming videos too?....
Brilliant!! 😁
i was just going mention about Edward Mulhare appearance on baywatch nights
Never got into Baywatch, but neat to see the references.
Thanks for all
I think I remember Edward Mulhare on an episode of Baywatch Nights. I dunno it's been 25 years. 😎
There is one where I think Pam Anderson spoke about a tv show with a guy and a taking car.
I remenber one episode with Mitch un the headquarters, starting the scene by whiseling Knight Rider tune but i can't not remenber the season or the particular episode plot.
My wife wants to take a ride in the knight rider car Kitt here in Georgia. Unfortunately I don't know anyone in Georgia that owns a Kitt car. We both love knight rider. I watched it when I was 9 years old.
I think K.I.T.T . and Michael were on an episode of Different Strokes if I'm correct albeit it was Hasslehoff on the set of Knight Rider with K.I.T.T. not actually in character
Apparently KITT also was on an episode of Different Strokes. I think Arnold and his bud get kidnapped or somethin.
I just finished binging Knight Rider on Netflix and ended up deciding to binge Baywatch, because apparently I can't get enough of The Hoff. Baja Run, Season 5 episode 4, about 20 minutes in has the same caves from Burial Grounds.
I dont remember which episode, but Jay Leno entervew Mitch . Were He talks about a Talking Car Tv Show
Kitt Is probably the most replicated car in history
I was driving around coming back to where I live, I saw a Pontiac trans am where it's design was that of k.i.t.t, but I am farily certain that it was of a blue color, or something there of blue. It is Interesting how some other shows mention knight rider.
the cross over between baywatch and knigth rider ocurred in argentinian comercial with David hasselhoff...
👍👍👍👍 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸
The front airdam. Could you ever find on of those?
Hey great video, there was an episode of bw we’re David hasslhoff was whistling the knight rider tune as he walks down a bw corridor, but I can’t remember which episode or season it was in? Apologies if it has already been mentioned, I haven’t read all the comments. 👍
interesting video

I think their was actually a scene where a trans am did show up as a background car, might be on the internet movie car database, but other than that I dont think so really.
