@@MarcoPereiraFerramenta-Online gotcha! i'll have mine to for a compression test next week. hopefully it will turn out healthy. i have a 2001 isuzu crosswind 4JA1 engine. Thanks again and keep safe!
Would you also do a wet test on the cylinder with 200psi? I read that a wet test will help you distinguish between bad cylinder / piston rings and the valves.
@@MarcoPereiraFerramenta-Online I've got high pressure pump and in that case it would work dry. I guess there must be some relief valve that could be opened instead.
I bought this tool over the internet. I do not know if it has an adapter for Renault megane, I have not yet had to use it in any of those cars. Try to find it through the internet you might find it.
Maybe - but in all seriousness IF you are watching this then you are obviously a pretty competent DIY mechanic/potcher. Therefore no dialogue is really necessary. A beginner wouldn’t be able to comprehend that the glow plugs are coming off and probably wouldn’t even know that a diesel car has them (DI engines excepted of course).
.what is the accepted or normal range "psi" for Diesel engines?
In this engine it must be between 290psi and 390psi. But it depends on the engine , but in general a diesel engine has between 250psi and 400psi

Do you have to bottom out the fitting in the glow plug hole? Every single kit comes with a super short 12mm fitting thats definitely not gonna bottom
I've measured compression with this on several engines and haven't had this problem yet.
Does that kit can be also used for petrol?
No, this is just for Diesel engines. The nosel and the Scale are diferent for petrol engines.

Hello in this case dont need to do a wet test, whit this values You Need to take the cilinder head off to se what is wrong whit the engine.
Is this placed in the glow-plug hole sir?
Yes, in this case it is on the glow plug hole. But you can mesure it by the injectores.
How to prevent engine from not starting on other cylinders?
Hello. I turned off the diesel supply.

Good working a tools
And All types engine compassar taste hogi
And price kisna Vai
Shouldn't it be done wet & dry to test the piston rings
I know my service manual for my diesel says NOT to do the wet test
Did you do this on a warm engine?
Hello. No, the engine was cold.
How do you disable the injection to avoid engine start? thanks
I turned off the diesel shut off valve
You could disconnect the electrical connections from the injectors.
@@MarcoPereiraFerramenta-Online Is it at the high pressure pump?
I normally just disconnect the fuse for the fuel pump. Takes 5 seconds and is easy to manage.
@@TheDannydoe Thats OK for petrol engines. Not a good idea for diesels.
Who made the compression test kit?
This has no brand, I bought this tool over the internet.
could you tell me where to buy?
I bought mine on Ebay .
I purchased a very similar one on amazon. Just got it today. Worked well.
This kit doesn't have an adapter to my renault megane and I purchased one, now how can I get one adapter??? That's a Hard one....

Marco Pereira I don't find it anywhere.... Unfortunetly.....
If you do not find it you have to try to make one.
Marco Pereira I will try, but that's not easy
You could try contacting 8milelake.com. This kit looks like theirs.
How accurate is this
Hello . Here it is not a question of precision or accuraci, what matters most when one measures that all are more or less equal.
Thanks
Sir l m need this tools parts number
Please get to e bay link
When gauge fail make sure you go to engineering supplier and get a calibrated Wika German made gauge.
Nozzle psi taste mater video
That's not how you do it you must take first stroke reading first then the then the build up
number 3rd has problem
Yes number 3 had a problem, as you can see in the video there was no compression as in the others.
@@MarcoPereiraFerramenta-Online old video, put what was the problem was?
