Great to know about this one! We’ve played Pandemic: Fall of Rome many times but it’s nice to see a more streamlined system all around. I appreciate less clutter in general and a smaller board. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for it. Thanks!
Great insight! I really have hesitated to purchase any Pandemic games, especially from a solo perspective. But this one seems to be a gateway into that realm. Will add to my Wishlist. Thanks!
Thanks for the review. I read the rules but wondered how the game flow was. Yup I have yet to see it available anywhere so you answered that question. Will be a.lookout for any that become available within reason. Have a great day!
In 2020 I wrote a review on BGG comparing Tetrarchia to Pandemic Fall of Rome. This was with the old Nestor Games Edition of Tetrarchia which I think is superior to the new one. I really like this game and you echoed my thoughts here. But that's also why I didn't update my review even though I bought the new edition. Pieces are too big and colors (with the included dux expansion) are... Not ideal. I have to look pretty hard to see where the dux figure is and where the yellow emperor is. The colors used are too similar. If this was the first copy I encountered my review wouldn't have been as favorable. There are TTS mods and even a vassal module sanctioned by the designer so anyone interested can check it out there.
Like the leaner version of a Pandemic-esque game. Such a hidden gem and has the potential to be a Pandemic killer if it had better marketing, availability and components (e.g. replace the discs so the players will feel less like a pill counter and have different pieces to to differentiate Romans from barbarians.)
Interesting review. Personally I find Pandemic a better game, especially due to logical barbarian moves and event cards with interesting choices, this seems more dice dependent and abstract. Also as your European viewer I can jokingly say, no, it is easy to get a copy!
It's the battle "chaining" that does it for me on this one! Also, yes, we Americans are spoiled and y'all deserve to have the advantage every so often. :)
I watched your videos for 'Time of Crisis' (plus solo expansion) and it's now the game on my gaming table. I watched your video for 'Tetrarchia' and it is already on its way to me. My plan was to buy less and play more the games I already own. Your choice of game presentations is not very helpful ;)
Another recommendation on the wishlist, thank you 👏 Elegant design, wherever it's found, always elevates an experience!

I love small games with low rule overhead that offer tight gameplay with difficult decisions. Sounds like this is in that wheelhouse for sure!
Not my usual game style but this looked super interesting, will deffs try get a copy (even harder in South Africa). Thanks Liz.
3:03 i think it's 2 imperium to move here because of revolt presence
Good pick. I love these mechanics.
Draco ideas (the publisher) also sells a neoprene playmat for this game that is larger than the board.
Thanks for the tip!

Nifty.
Where can you buy this game? Its not on Amazon, and I haven't bought a game since I bought "Third Reich" by Avalon Hill forty years ago.
You have to preorder it from the publisher in Spain. There is a link in the show notes! :)
@@BeyondSolitaire tHANK YOU SO MUCH!
