- Hello from St. Paul, Minnesota! I've had a massive move and a massive career change--this Monday, I start as the Solo Game Specialist at Leder Games. This means new and exciting things for me and for the channel. I'm looking forward to it!

Regarding reviews, just a suggestion: Jamey Stegmaier of Stonemeyer does a "Favorite Mechanism" series where he praises one (or a few) aspects of games he likes from other publishers. So I guess that would be a way to shine light on games you like and maybe forfeit doing reviews on games you don't like?
I think some kind of comparative thing would be fun!

I agree with your thoughts and wish you luck with your new job... didn't think Leder was a large enough company to employ a solo game specialist... Lol.. hope they pay enough to LIVE.. even in St Paul Minn!
I took a pay cut from my previous job, but this is a real adult job with benefits and absolutely a good spot for me. :)

@@BeyondSolitaire Reviewing old war games is a good choice. I recommend SPI games, a lot of them can be played on the net.

One idea for the “moving with games” concept…did you bring a couple of games with you on the drive up? Maybe “must haves” or “most portable” or “perfect for a light break from a hectic day”?
I actually brought basically nothing and I am so regretting it. LOL

Congratulations, that's fantastic! I'll miss your reviews, but you deserve to pursue what makes you happy. Perhaps there is a middle-ground where you can still offer a "things I liked and things I didn't like so much" element as part of your tutorial, overview, and play through videos? I'm sure there's a can of worms to consider regarding when personal commentary crosses the line into review territory, but those sorts of things are valuable to many viewers (or maybe just me). I especially appreciate it when a video give viewers a sense of what it's like to play the game in addition to the technical "this is how the game is played" component.
I'll always be opinionated, I just can't present myself as true media anymore!

What is the status of Nightwitches and will your new job restrict time developing it?
Leder has placed no restrictions on me in my off hours, so I will absolutely keep making historical games. Night Witches is actually off with Ian O'Toole getting art, and the design is more or less "done." David and I are a large chunk of the way into our second game! :)
