I have the same type of radio. The other day when we had a severe weather outbreak, we could hear the warning alarm from anywhere in the house it is so loud.
Very grateful for uploading the video especially for such an important item which is a matter of life and death for some which are staying in areas of constant Bad weather. Thanks g.b you
Here’s a few tips on this specific model: 1. If you take out the power cord, hold MENU, and plug it back in, the radio will reset. This will come in handy if your radio isn’t working. 2. Since NOAA is working on upgrading SAME codes, you can either manually change it to your portion of the county by changing the first digit, or you can make it alert for all of the county. 3. Upgraded versions of this radio have more features, including built in locations, actual event codes, and more. 4. Technically, the Retekess works the same way as the original model, but has some rebranding on it and such.
WONDERFUL! I'm in a little home (DeKalb county and Kane County meet, IL) but the reception is horrible even by a window. Do you have a recommendation for a lost cost but effective external antenna that I don't have to put outside but rather up higher in my home or stick to a window? I have no way to run a cable outside without hiring someone to do it. Thank you.
@@LimitlessProductionGroup thank you...I have made it for years so no rush but if you stumble onto a great idea, please let me/us know! I really enjoyed this.
@Limitless Media Since you are talking about the same counties I live in. I think I have everything set up right and been using this radio for years now. I was wondering do you get winter weather alerts? Every winter the weather service will put out something that I hear on daily AM / FM radio, but nothing never goes off on my weather radio. I was wondering if you experience the same thing. Wondering if NOAA is not sending out tone alarms for winter weather in our area?
This is a great question! My original WR 120 did not get winter weather alerts, but when I upgraded to the EZ/B model, I did begin to get a wider variety of weather alerts, including winter weather-related ones.

For me this worked, you’ll probably have a different model
poor radio for concreat condos no way to connected external antenna for better reception hard to switch nack borth for local channels
had to turn off in order to change frequencies had to return for refund
Not sure what you mean about no way to attach an external antenna, there is a port in the back for exactly that.
