The motor can still be leak down tested. Which confirms compression. But, doesn’t tell anything if there is a bearing/lifter issue…generally, we don’t buy those types of cars for that reason. We like to hear them run.
With the seats, would you sell just the one that hasn’t blown up? Would you fix the blown one or it’s not worth it? It kinda intrigues me lol Edit I mean all the things that are mostly sold as a pair, what do you do sell single items? Wait to pair some down the road?
In this case, the blown bag seat is repairable. We do get seats with bent frames. That would be an example of seat that just a trashed and we would sell a single. Otherwise, everything is sold in pairs/sets. This set of seats could easily be worth having the blown bag repaired. Cheaper seats, not so much.
@@scraplifegarage Gotcha lol , I’m just a huge fan of the Camaros. I have a matte black v6 Camaro that I did an Ls Swap in. I just have a 6.0 in it right at the moment
I had a 2013 ZL1 Black that I bought off the showroom floor I was so excited and within 3 month's my dream went to a nightmare for the next year and half with only 8K miles on it I had gone through 8 Superchargers YES 8 that the dealer kept replacing due to the bad isolater in the Supercharger snout it was in the shop 7 month's of the 18 month's I owned it and I had put it on the Dyno because the car was slow and found right after putting number 5 Supercharger on it made a ridiculous 415HP to the wheels finally after taking it back to the dealer after Supercharger number 8 on the way home not even 10 miles the Supercharger went bad again and I finally called an attorney and GM had to buy the car back. If you are interested I still have some parts like brand new Loyed Floor Mat's and trunk mat the RotoFab IceTank with the factory cooler lines already cut for plug and play the rear tail light bezels and I think a couple of other thing's I just can't remember what's in the box in the garage but if your interested let me know. I hope you have better luck with yours but I wouldn't touch an LSA Motor ever again.
@@scraplifegarage it really was a nightmare but I bought my dream car right after that mess and now own a 2018 Jeep Trackhawk and I absolutely love it with zero problems and runs very well.
I own a 2013 ZL1 Black and I can hear the rattle but that doesnt mean the SC is bad. Just get it reshimmed and use a solid isolator and you'll be good to go.
@@GokuGaming That's funny!!! Because I have an extended warranty that I paid alot of money for and if I replaced the isolator myself they void my warranty and anyways when the dealer replaced the Supercharger they were supposed to come with the solid isolater there were more issues happening to blow the Supercharger up if you read the whole Description you would have seen that after a brand new Supercharger I took it to have it Dynoed and the car was only making 420HP to the wheels. When the Dyno shop had already had a few of these ZL1's in the shop he said the lowest Dyno he had ever seen on one was 495HP but most were making 515HP to the wheels.

Allright, so credit where it is due, that intro editing was impressive! Thought I had clicked on the wrong video at first!
Dang, not giving me enough credit! 😁Thanks for watching as usual!
Nice find!! I’d love that motor/trans combo for my ‘94 OBS Chevy truck. Can’t wait to see where that engine ends up!
Any older Chevy truck is in need of an LSA motor set up 😁
They running the shop and the UA-cam without Carrington💪 I love it keep the show moving. I swear I need these videos
Dammm ,heart breaking to see a ZL1 in that condition

Your lucky to get that I've been looking for that set up here in Houston Texas to put in my 1999 suburban.
Can’t beat a nice LSA drivetrain

I really like my LSA in my 2010 CTS-V! Would like one for my 1971 Pontiac GT-37!
We have several in stock including the one from this car!!!
It kinda makes me sad seeing these great cars going to scrap. I understand that cost vs value for rebuilding. Secondly are you two guys related?
Does that mug say dropdead gorgeous?
Is there a problem?
Obviously…
Looked like there was another VW closer to the top on that trailer
They belong at the scrap yard anyways!

Glad your here! Chris turned out to be good for something 😁
I cant believe you do MORE damage by not using ROLLERS???? I would think that would be regular equipment for someone who does this for a living??

Easy mistake

Some knuckle head pulled a car up too far and blasted our battery box off the front. LOL.
How do you guys test and engine and know mileage if the interior is all burned to a crisp? I have always wondered this.
