Cotton-Candy The name was born from anger in the advent of Google Chrome, but its grown on me now ^.^ Also I am serious, I would fork over some bits to get my mitts on a snuggly doctor wolf plushy Perhaps the good doctor should think about looking into profiting off of his fuzzy visage :3
UA-cam, All I want to do is watch a video, stop making me update. You, sir or madam, have what has to be the most epic name I've seen since the whole Google+ kerfuffle. #shutupandtakemymoney
Now this is an interesting video, for lots of reasons. Firstly, the subject itself is one that I'm sure any creator can relate to-- the stress of dealing with deadlines and all the little things drowning out the big, epic projects is something tons and tons of folks (including myself) can certainly relate to. But as a huge fan of both of these creators, my favorite thing about this is Antony C's attitude. You see... In all of his own videos, Antony has... Well, it has always seemed to me like he was talking down to his audience. Now keep in mind I don't mean this in a BAD way, as if to imply that he is arrogant or that he doesn't appreciate his fans or anything like that. I simply mean that he has his ideas, and he is using his uniquely eloquent manner of presentation to express those ideas. Here, however, we have Antony talking to Dr. Wolf as an equal, someone whose ideas and opinions he respects deeply. As such, we get to see a whole new side of Antony, a side that I for one am a huge fan of and hope we get to see again in the future. Cheers for a great video, Doc, and I look forward to seeing the next one! P.S. 2:37 the shipping. It has begun.
This might be one of the best yet. Between Cotton Candy's phenomenal portrayal of Cosmologic, Dr. Wolf, and the office, and Cosmologic's borderline The Doctor levels of vocal expression and Cotton Candy's translation of that into occasional physically expressive antics, it just all came together in a perfect storm of beautifully rendered Dr. Wolf adorableness you just can't look away from. Also, dat Cotton Candy on the top shelf.
Nicely done. Someday, I hope to join the analysis community. I have plans... Now if only I didn't already have to deal with getting a college education, working weekends, and finding time to keep my art blog running. And the added downside of not owning decent enough equipment to ensure that any video I might make would be decent. AND the fact that I have no idea if the analysis I would give would be good enough to gain an audience (I plan to do something I haven't seen done yet). Meh. I really look up to you analysists who make this stuff work for you...
The feeling is mutual. College getting too close to your neck in deadlines or such. Finding time to create your own interesting content and not knowing if content you make would receive any attention...Just make what you can for now is all that I can say. I have an (clears throat) OC for myself with plans in mind too (comedy skits/analysis), yet only time can tell if I can get the ideas to flow through with what I want to put out or the guts to say *Beep* it and see how it turns out.
Carnage Bringer I know what you mean. I have the feeling at some point I'm just going to have to say screw it and just wing my first review to see the reception it would get. I don't know, I'm assuming at least some of my Tumblr followers would be willing to check it out.
This is by far the coolest art style you've had on here, Dr. Wolf. I hope you bring this artist back. Their art is like the best eye candy ever. You're OC looks so frickin' cute too ;)
Omigosh, Tony Pony is so personable! Doc is the right guy to turn to when it comes to advice on how to get projects out, and this video itself is a great display of his collaborations with artists and various fandom personalities. But really, if there's one man who shouldn't have to worry about people being to busy to lend him some help, it's Antony Freakin' Canon.
Love the art style in this one, especially with pony and the eyes. The eyes, I say. And Antony was a delight to listen to here. He never sounds like he's rehearsing anything, that one. Gotta love him. And I saw that Mad Muchkin shoutout, and I very much agree with it. xD
I think that this /may/ be the most entertaining AMWDW I've seen yet. Partially because of the superb personality quirks of Mr. C himself -- I am quite envious of his manner of speech and wish I could emulate it myself -- but also because of just how fun and flowy the art was in this video. And I *do* realize that Dear Cotton Candy has already done the art for several of these videos, but the art style itself never caught my attention as much as it did in this video, and I think it's probably because of the eyes. The eyes drew a lot of my attention, and that made me pay attention to other things going on. All in all, as I've already said, this has probably been my favorite one so far, though I'm not certain I've stayed on top of all of them. Always love your work, my good Doctor.
I think it shows. If watching Extra Credits has taught me anything, it's how to tell when an artist is having fun with a video. Although to say that's all it's taught me would be doing it injustice.
Yup. Being caught up with what you've already got going hinders you from exploring new avenues. One of the huge negatives of being "successful" for sure. I certainly feel the same way. Caught up with my typical routine and can't find time to try out new stuff. Learning's also such a long process... it's kind of painful. I guess I just hoped DRWolf's answer would be a bit more... relatable to everyone. I think a little time management advice would have fit right in there. I suppose you just didn't think of that in the moment, DRWolf, but I'm sure that type of advice would be even more helpful than asking others for help (still good advice, just less practical than time management, imo).
As a UA-camr and a reporter I too feel the pressure and burn out of meeting deadlines. I`m thankful my deadlines are every two weeks and not every day (trust me daily deadlines are as horrible as they sounds) however even that creates a burn out and I fear it chips away at my ability to create stories and videos or even keep a consistent level of quality. I can also relate to having plans to reviews or other videos but the burn out comes and I just loose the enthusiasm or time to do stuff. I am glad I have the help of my down-to-earth editors and publisher to help me. and I think I could use some get some help from other UA-camrs too, I find it more enjoyable when working on a project with others.
I can't say that I understand the pressure of deadlines outside of a school setting, but I totally get what you're saying in terms of wanting to work on long term and short term projects. My time management skills are crap, and at this moment in time, I'm balancing educations of all sorts in addition to wanting to excel in my own projects, not to mention helping with other peoples' as I'm a voice actor for about five of my friends' videos and there's a lot of time that has to be spent there. It feels like your limbs are tied and about to be drawn and quartered. There's so much I'd like to do that I don't believe I have the skills for. I'd love to get back into writing and poetry again, that was one of my favorite pastimes as a kid, and I'm trying to learn a million and one different art forms at once, particularly in the digital field where my experience is slowly building, but it's difficult to get started and find a balance. I get very embarrassed when asking for help, because I don't like depending on other people, they tend to let me down more than anything else, at least previously, and I feel like it's not really my own if I have help. It's okay in some cases though, some of my best work and favorite pieces come from the times when I worked on them with other people that took an interest, I guess part of my problem is the insecurity that no one would get as excited as I do with a project that I'm passionate about, since I tend to have a very different taste from the people I hang around. But hey, when you're working in collaboration with someone else, there's bound to be some tough spots, it's all just something we gotta learn to do.
I can't relate to the topic personally, but I stay anyway because Antony is awesome. Speaking of awesome, the art is absolutely adorable and Cotten candy is really talented! :D
lol DAT ADVERTISEMENT when you turned to the camera and said that it was like okay 4th wall, move out of the way XD. I loved that part, but I loved the ENTIRE video! Anthony is hilarious.
Another fantastic video as usual, Doc. When I first saw the title, I thought it was going to be about something that has always been terrifying me, the end. The end of the show, the possible end of the fandom, but the subject was still cool. It seems these successful analysts share a common problem...
Huh... once again, amazing work, Dr. Wolf. The fact that someone goes out of there way to help others with their own problems is a very respectable trait, and I am honestly very happy that someone actually would do that. It's not that I don't believe that some people would go out of their way to help another, but it's just that I kinda doubt it. Especially with a lot of people that I see. Always giving someone a cold shoulder when they need help, or not even giving someone a friendly "hello". No one really does that anymore. But now that I see this, I am reminded that, no matter what, there will always be people, or in this case, wolves that will help someone in their hour of need. Thank you, Dr. Wolf, for reminding me that people can indeed choose to help someone, and that it makes a big impact in their lives. I am glad you're helping.
thebluant Well, it's just something I've been wanting to say to him for a while now, but never had the courage to do so. The fact he did reply was astonishing to me at first, but he did say in the "Discussion" thread that he checks the comments he gets. I'm just grateful that he considered them "encouraging". It's always nice to see someone acknowledge such a heart felt comment, and, while it made my day brighter, I do hope it made his day better as well. Even the smallest comment can go a long way.
Ah, now this was a most relatable and enjoyable moment. Absolutely awesome. I love Antony C's specific brand of humour, as I am certain a large number of others do. As for a discussion on the topic at hand, personally, It took me a while to figure out that seeking out editors and proofreaders for stories wasn't a bad idea, and it wasn't going to be a hinderance to those I asked. But before I made that decision to ask for help, there was a sort of romantic ideal I had of being an author who could write and edit my own work entirely by myself. As if shouldering that whole burden would strengthen me and help me become a better writer. It took hundreds of mistakes to finally admit that getting an extra hand or two on my projects wouldn't spoil the stories, but in fact make them all the stronger for it, as well as help me become a stronger writer quicker. I find that having people help you out, as well as helping others out really will improve your art and your skills more than toiling alone ever could. Awesome moment, Doctor. ~SilentBelle
Dr. Wolf, it's about balance, and I'm not sure how to keep my act up. My life is always so busy. Looking for a job, babysitting a 5 year old every other week, house work, school work, keeping up a social life with family and friends, taking care of the cats, and even switching homes on occasion. I want to contribute more than what I've been. I want to get back into animating to create a college portfolio, I want to start reviewing to have a healthy way to rid of my rants, I want to continue my commentaries, and continue to upkeep my art on dA. But I have so much stuff on my plate that I just don't know how to keep it from falling....I hardly have any time to get what I want to done, and when I do, it's late at night and I'm too tired to begin something that will take me several hours to complete. I even have a plan for an animated series, of which I requested help with but it is looking to be a lone project aside from Voice Actors. I'm planning this project for a college portfolio, to show off various skills, so it is a must. But then that cuts into my already slim amount of time to make regular content for my audience to enjoy. Is there anyway to balance this....? I hate not being able to do everything I need or want to do, and I hate it even more when I let people down by not meeting a deadline due to my life. But I doubt my life will calm down anytime soon. My family always want to see me busy so I'm not, in their eyes, sitting there on my computer doing nothing. It's become really difficult to keep up, and with each new thing added, I loose more of my own free time to do things for myself. Any advice would be appreciated....
Anthony I can SOOOOO Feel for you! I've had that problem as well (Dr.W can attest). I'm kind of a perfectionist myself and it caused me several times to rpoloong a project untill it's just right. Even at the studio I work at right now one of the first lessons I had to learn was that some works have to me "good enough",especially if it's something of low importance or is just a detail. Add to the fact that for some reason my life is pretty interesting (in the "chinese" way of meaning) and there are days when I consider eating a waste of time. I actually wanted to to joing the mlp analysyst around Power Ponies, but with getting my job, other works and the fact I don't want to forget how to speak to people I wish that there were like 3 more days in the week. Hopefully I can start my own series before Se5. It might not be on a set schedule or be perfect, but I want to share soe of my ideas and possibly entertain you guys >^^
I'm new to your channel ( kinda) and all the stuff that you say actually help me as well :) So thank you so much for all your help in giving guidance and life lessons to others. If I was to pick which pony of the MANE six you would be it would be fluttershy caring, gentle and kind. (Btw she is my favorite pony because I can relate to her, It took me a while to notice....but at the end when you say " It's good to be helpful " you do cadences breathing technique that she taught twilight. I feel like that's a great way to end your sessions ( videos) ^^ Sorry about the long comment btw...
wow this video was very good doc . the subject was intriguing and you coverd it vrey well . and the art work was so awesome cotton candy did a realy great job. i dont know how you keep making this awesome videos but am sure you will be making more :)
This is why I love Anthony not only is he handsome I love his voice and his honest opinions they are hilarious and emotional. I love it! (Hugs Anthony) Love ya handsome! 😉
I can't animate anything, so I'm not sure exactly what he wants, but I've got lots of free time. Right now I'm just working on scripts for reviews of the old pony episodes since I don't know how to work the magic to make it into a decent looking video. Bu if it's just like drawing stuff, and if I'd be needed to help a fellow brony, I'd be more than happy to help Mr.CosmoLogic! Also this art is adorable! and now I've actually seen Antony Cs' videos, and they're awesome!
This is actually a real problem for me. There's never enough time to do what I want to do, and as an animator, time seems to be going faster as a result!
How do you know so psychically what I've been dealing with this week? Perfect timing for this vid :) thanks to both of you. I wish I could help, but I'm no animation student. Loved the character put into the slides on this video- you have such a great personality, Antony, and it was fun to see it reflected in the visuals. So if anything, add me to your list of cheerleaders? XD
"Ah it's alright, I'll live, I'm a big boy" I can't tell if that was foreshadowing or not, all the way back then. Presuming this "project" is the one I'm thinking about...
Yet another great one. Can't say I've seen a bad one yet, actually. I would love to do one of these some day. I even have a few subject ideas. That's up to you, though.
I get at least a dozen requests like this every month. And I simply cannot keep up with demand. But that doesn't mean the average viewer CAN'T ever get on this show someday. You just need to find a way to stand out.
DRWolf001 I've always wondered how you chose who to do AMWDW with. Well, I'm off to try to stand out of the crowd enough to get the honor of appearing on your show.
Zodia195 Well...Let me post a reply that I wrote when someone asked me how my one of my recent guests was able to get onto AMWDW: "Adam wrote me a message here on UA-cam several months back, wanting to be a guest on AMWDW. Naturally, I get dozens of requests like this each month, but he was polite, persistent, and wrote short to the point messages to get my attention. I was rather hesitant to include someone in AMWDW who had no UA-cam channel of their own, but Adam managed to stand out for several reasons: 1. He was able to prove his skills with recording dialogue by directing me to some of his previous works. 2. He came up with an idea that I believed would create an interesting discussion AND encourage a lot of audience participation 3. He commissioned Crowne Prince to provide the animation for this project. That definitely grants a few points in the guest's favor when I see that he/she is willing to directly support the artist working with me. 4. He was extremely patient, since this project took about two months to complete from start to finish. With all that said, I would say that I am open to allowing others like Adam to join me in future videos. As long as people understand all the qualities that I'm looking for in a guest."
i liked this video, i'm actually going through this right now. I have this college class that has all these small assignments that i would like to complete, but unfortunately it's come to the end of the year and i have all these other assignments i need to complete. Not fun.
I think people would come in waves to help AntonyC. Just like a hard deadline, working for another can put a bit of pressure to do better than a person would normally do(no one wants to disappoint someone, especialy AntonyC D=) And who doesn't want experience and contributing to one of the 'greats'
But then there would be the process of picking out people who are POSSIBLE for qualification from people who need work before applying, don't really have the time, and just want to be closer to Mr. Cosmo. And all the while, deadlines, deadlines, deadlines.
[4:26-4:46] Yes. well said... and then DRWolf comes with the most common-best-natural solution... let others help you... -Hey! That was "Zelda: A Link to the past"´s leaked [by a 8th minor] sound effect during time travel at 7:57 :u
At the start of the video there was an advert and people were screaming "CHAMPION! CHAMPION!" Down a 5star hotel hallway and then the skip button appeared and Antony was like D=/
Deadlines, deadlines, deadlines as a student I know I have to get a lot of my work done but with ADHD/ADD/ect my mind won't let me focus. Even with the medication all it does is make me so focused on one project that I forget the others even exist and by the time the report cards come in the biggest grade is a B- at most F at least. Sometimes it gets so stressful and time consuming that my entire brain collapses on itself.
For some reason, ever since I watched the first AMWDW with this art style I always described it as "A Precious Moment with Dr. Wolf" since it reminds me quite a lot of those precious moments things... does anyone else get that?
I wanna doctor wolf plushie that looks just like that!
So friggin cute!
first of all, thanks!! I cant say I wouldnt want one myself hehe
Cookiesaurus Rex thanks!

Genius.
I loved the little *boop* at the end that was cute haha love this artwork it is so adorable.
Once again, the art is fantastic, I'm a big fan of DCC's art style, it's really quite interesting
uvu, Thank you
Awww thats cute! Dr. Wolf, you were the first reviewer I ever saw and you (along with Silver Quill and Ink Rose) are my inspiration.
This art style is so adorable I died

Well If you make it send a message my way and I'll give it a shot. If I "like" it I'll give it one. If I love it I'll sub. Kool!
I have never heard of this guy... but his voice reminds me of a Clive Cussler book on tape.
The picture of Dr. Wolf is adorable ^ ^

One of my favs yet! Yes I sure hope Antony C gets help. No surprise he is a perfectionist since all his videos are awesome.

Good job on the artwork.

Cotton-Candy Technically the good doctor is a wolf not a pony. But he is best anthropomorphic wolf!
LOVED the artwork for this episode! Just looking at it was a treat:3 Cotton Candy made some eye candy here!

Indeed it does Vael.
"Sooted for for success?"
Since when has being covered in soot a strategy for success...unless you're a chimney sweep.
Am I the only one who thinks that Antony would make a brilliant Doctor in Doctor Who?..
+Fina1Verse I agree entirely!! He would be a fantastic Doctor!
OMFGBBQG!!! total fan of yer stories, they are just amazing and your Sweetie Belle is on of my fovarite ones in writed from dude.
Joe Habana Well, I'm glad that you've enjoyed my writing so much. Thanks for your readership, and I'll continue to do my best.
2:46-fakakta.that.is.perfect.this is my new catchfrase from now on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the artist's art style
Im glad to hear that! thank you!
You're welcome, it's so cute
Hilariously, and I can't wait to see what he makes. I'll be sure to apply some of what you guys said to my own project
Antony has quite a cool voice! :D
I'm new to your channel ( kinda) and all the stuff that you say actually help me as well :)
So thank you so much for all your help in giving guidance and life lessons to others. I feel like that's a great way to end your sessions ( videos) ^^
Sorry about the long comment btw...
Kell Arts Glad to be of service Kell Arts.
o.o Antony (blows up), i have no word to describe how happy i am. two of my fav reviewer, i'm so happy i can blow up

. . . . Oh my god. . . .that voice..
So british..so charismatic..so witty...so awesome!!
Doc if I may say so you look so cute in wolf form! :)
Doctor Wolf looks so cute in this style! I love it!
bad wolf LOL
I adore Cotton Candy's artwork on your videos Dr. Wolf ^_^ another great video ^_^
thank you kindly
This is actually a real problem for me. There's never enough time to do what I want to do, and as an animator, time seems to be going faster as a result!
How do you know so psychically what I've been dealing with this week? Perfect timing for this vid :) thanks to both of you. I wish I could help, but I'm no animation student. Loved the character put into the slides on this video- you have such a great personality, Antony, and it was fun to see it reflected in the visuals. So if anything, add me to your list of cheerleaders? XD
"Ah it's alright, I'll live, I'm a big boy"
I can't tell if that was foreshadowing or not, all the way back then.
Presuming this "project" is the one I'm thinking about...
What a beautyfull art, simply stunning.
thanks!
'Dah great, my success is a metaphysical abstract!' That was awesome. Also, coming for your eyebrows? Yikes...
I love Dear Cotton Candy's art style.
DRWOLF everybody, he can help pretty much anyone.
Also, dat exit by Anthony C was awesome!!
I love this art style dr.😍
That face when he was compared with the saying, made me laugh!
Beautiful art style is beautiful.
i listen to Antony speak to the therapist and i DEFINITELY here a deeply disturbed man xD
DRWolf001 When you say stand out, in what way do you mean? Like for those who make other videos or those who make suggestions for the show?
DRWolf001 ok, well I still hope to be on your show some day. I'll need to think of a good topic...among other things before anything can happen.
i dont have experience in sfm but i'd be happy to help in any other way i can
5:55 - yes!
hehe, Still dont regret nothin'
i love this art stile >.
The word is spelled S-T-Y-L-E. But I agree! 😃
i liked this video, i'm actually going through this right now.
I have this college class that has all these small assignments that i would like to complete, but unfortunately it's come to the end of the year and i have all these other assignments i need to complete. Not fun.
Controlling with good ideas that never go anywhere? I know that feel.
Oh, I really like his character. He's funny.
Well i can tell the artist of this video had Fun with this Well done ( zelda sound effect = awsom)
indeed I did!
I just love this art. My god Cotton candy. You are amazing.
hehe naah, *you* are amazing /)//v//(\
Oh the Britishness!!!!! XD XD XD LOVE IT
Mr. Logic sure has a way with words.
Ice Justice well i just checked his page, and there is nobody on his dA or on his channel and nobody has asked to help
RiddleOfLightning Well, all these messages would go to Dr Wolf, so they probably sent Antony the requests via private messages.
Closet Brony i ment on his page on AnotnyC's page :U
RiddleOfLightning
Oh, I see...
well, this was a cool, yet rather unusual episode with dr-wolf............I like it! 😆
I don't know exactly what it is but Antony's voice is just awesome...
+KawaRyuu788 it's the australian-ness.
this shuld be a show
[4:26-4:46] Yes. well said... and then DRWolf comes with the most common-best-natural solution... let others help you...
Sometimes it gets so stressful and time consuming that my entire brain collapses on itself.
cosmologic you have a cool voice
I think you sound like sideshow bob from Simpsons
at least to me
dear cotton candy, I like this art style
For some reason, ever since I watched the first AMWDW with this art style I always described it as "A Precious Moment with Dr. Wolf" since it reminds me quite a lot of those precious moments things... does anyone else get that?
aaahh
Doctor Wolf plushie FOR THE WIN
REALLY?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!!?!!!!?!!?????!??!?!??!!?!!?!!?!
*portal whisks him away*
Huh... did not know he could do that...
Talk about a callout. I'm sure you'll get some good talent to help out.
