    Sweet Mary Carl is so interested in bird's, that I won't be surprised if she makes a career out of her love for bird's, & animals. I love y'all.

    Brooke, here in the southwest we have those kinds of rattlesnakes, Jason the snakes can strike the length of their bodies when they are coiled. Just a note if you get rid of the mice and rats the snakes will go too, that is what they make a livin on. I keep a colony of feral cats for just that reason, no mice no rats no snakes at least around the house. One year here we had an outbreak of bull snakes they were everywhere, you had to be careful when you went out your door to check and make sure they weren't between the screen and the door. I had 2 6 to 8 footers that lived on either side of the driveway. They aren't poisonous but they look VERY much like a rattler. Have to take a second look to make sure. Glad to see that you guys are feeling better.

    • @greatgreyowl2583
      @greatgreyowl2583 2 роки тому +5

      The strike length is only 2/3rd of their body length, but if their tail is pinned then they can strike the length of their body.

    So glad you are all feeling better and getting over COVID. I don't know if Ms. Brooke can or not or even want to, but, could she maybe help weld the railing as I think she would love to do that and it would be something that would be so special for the barndominium. I know she did all the painting of supports for the awnings but I think that would be special. Anyway I'm so glad you are all better.💖💖💖

      It is a beautiful country, I lived in Swansea for a little over three years and the only thing I didn't appreciate was the rain and cold. Being from the south I'm use to humidity, but your cold went right to my bones. I do believe I would have froze if I hadn't come across a heavy wollen coat. My winter wear for my southern united states'was not sufficient for sure. Made some good friends that came across the pond to visit after I moved back home.

    I think it is so nice to see how you allow your daughter to dream big. She's learning how to make reasonable goals and desires. You're a great teacher, Brook, guiding her like that. Maybe it's the bond you 3 have because of the homeschooling factor, but it looks like she'll be growing into a successful young woman --and, learning to embrace what she loves to do in that, too! And even if she can't continue in her hobbies, at least she has known that fulfillment. wonderful.

    I believe you Brooke.
    Sometimes snakes do hitch ride's under vehicles, trains, & any open flat bed cargo transport carrier.
    Y'all are doing the clearing, & cutting around the property. That help's so much to lessen the chances of seeing snakes on a regular basis.

    Best to work very early in the morning, or very late in the evening for outside work. The weather has been extreme the last few years.

    Hey Jason and Brooke, I understand everything you are saying. Being a native South carolinian(horry county)we say sheetrock too and all our cokes are drinks..." what do you want front the store?" "A drink"....depending on the person you know if they ment coke or pepsi....I gotcha on all of this...
    Another word we use is Yonder.....I remember a lady I encountered back in the 80's from NY....she asked me where something was and I said.."down that hall yonder"....well she put her hands on her hips and said.."just exactly where is yonder?"...and I replied " well obviously you are not from here or you would know where yonder is"..

    Here in Iowa, we call it Sheetrock and drywall. Which ever one is okay here. Yes some also say plasterboard. Oh, and yes you said Zerox correctly.

    We are now down with “The Rona”. We had it in 2020. The first time wasn’t too bad. This time the symptoms are different and it’s kicking my butt!!

    Rattlesnakes do not want to bother you. They would rather move away. That is why they rattle to let you know it is there. Water Moccasins are different…they will come at you. They are aggressive! Trust me on that. I do suggest snake fencing for the dog enclosure.
    A coke is either light or dark…Coke or 7-up(Sprite).
