Granted this is only my second ride on the bike. It's the 2022 Honda CRF450RX. I don't know if it's just because I waited 6 years for buy a 450 and my skills are better, or if Honda has done something amazing, or if I'm just delusional... but I really, really like this bike. Sure, I haven't taken this for any "soft enduro" style riding, and I don't plan to. I plan on doing mostly what it's designed for.... ripping up in wide open spaces. For that type of riding, so far this bike is genius.
Much more to come. Hopefully soon I'll have the CRF250RX to compare this bike to. That will be incredible!

Your channel is so professional. Amazing how tech today has enabled the average Joe to produce content that only a proper tv studio could do a decade or so ago.

Paul , also imagine how tech today has enabled facial recognition, AI, spyware, crypto, and so forth. I fear the coming technology is not going to be considered "cool".

I bought my 22 yz450fx back in October and it’s amazing. But I do agree that most people on a 450, don’t belong on them. It’s a bike that can easily get away from somebody that doesn’t have years of experience. I’ve been riding for almost 20 years, and my 450 try’s to get away from me after a long day. It’s like it wants to rip my arms off lol. They tend to be rockets out of corners, grab a hand full of throttle you better hang on lol. I personally think if you can max out a 250, your gunna have blast on a 450. I rode an old 04 yz250f for almost a decade, I loved it and still do. Its fun, easy to ride, and it’s been incredibly reliable. But I ride in the desert alot, and I always found myself in 5 gear looking for a 6th. I know I couldve geared it taller or I could have bought a wide ratio 250, but it still wouldn’t have the low end torque of a 450. I’ve riden a few different 450s over the years and always loved the low end grunt. Does anybody need that much power? No probably not. But it’s a ton fun. So glad you’ve come to the dark side lol

All the bikes these days are so good. Used to be such a craps shoot. You truly can’t go wrong with any of the major manufacturers any more. I know, Suzuki hasn’t done anything for a decade, but even their bikes are flat sick. We are so blessed.

As a person that has ridden both the 450 and 250 I think the 450 is amazing but a lot of power I own a 2022 250 Rx and the bike is quite impressive I haven’t ridden big bikes long but I jumped on that 250 and rode with people who have been on big bikes a lot longer than me and did stuff they didn’t attempt effortlessly and confidently the bike is quite amazing

I’m looking forward to your 250RX test. April 2020 I decided to get a new dirt bike to get back into off roading after many many years of street riding/track days. I bought a new leftover’17 CRF250X. I told myself I didn’t need a 450 because I ride mostly in the woods and single track. I love my 250X but an RX might be my next bike.

Kyle, I ride a KX450XC here in the North East. Mostly trails and keeping it running in the mud was a trick with the hydraulic clutch. I did something that a lot of people will scoff at, I put a Rekluse on it. Made a huge difference in gnarly stuff. Riding since I was a kid but for some reason the clutch was tough in tight trails. I could have put up with the stalls but I appreciate the difference with Rekluse. Good video.

I had a buddy that loved riding sand on his yz450(nice sand bike), he struggled on trails, 1st gen FI yz needed some polish, he added a Rekluse and then he started to love trail riding :) He didn't have any stall issues after that!!!!!!!!!!!

In Utah, a KTM 250 or 300 smoker really has the bases covered off road. 450's shine on a track, hill climbing Rock springs WY and Little Sahara Dunes(let that 450 RIP), can't wait until you share info on that 250rx !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! when it comes in. I'm recovering from a brain injury, 450mx bike waY to much bike for me currently, but looked 100% at home there.

One of the joys of riding 450's is letting all that torque do its thing, and riding it a gear high, and low in the RPM range and going faster with momentum...doing that its so effortless to ride, suspension works better, reduces engine braking, and is just an all around good time. Doing that uses "all the power" the bike has...you don't have to be stretching the throttle cable to be "using all the power".
125's are meant to be ridden high in the RPM range...450's are meant to be ridden low in the RPM range.

You should be able to feel the rotation mass difference? For example, straightens itself when you loft the front-end. Is there any particular videos of yours or others youd suggest to make a good decision. I'd like to think having an on/off road bike will be more justifiable for me. Time available riding can be limiting so at least a rip on the road would suffice between there. Also WI winters I imagine would bench the bike for about 1/4 -1/2 of the year.

So does the 450RX beat out your bike of 2021 the KTM 250? I have the 21 450RX and I love it. I ride more in forest setting and I'm mostly in map 3 and traction control off, but prior to my purchase I was stuck between this and the KTM 300 XC.

Those front forks look STIFF! I re-watched sections of your video and definitely think those things are ready for motocross track or a much heavier rider. Also, when was this video taken? If very recently, I think I'm ready to head out to that area and get some miles in...I've been itching to go ride for over about two months (live in the Colorado mountains).

Do you have a tracker on the drone so that you don’t lose it if it drops?
