My Toji training arc begins
LMAO I literally searched for this weapon on youtube when i saw that Toji scene. Glad i found your comment hahaha.
that’s why i’m here too, i’ve been inspired
Same
i knew itt
Hahahaha so true
Ppl don't realize how insanely difficult this routine is. 👏👏👏
The hardest part of that form is catching all three pieces at the end.
Nope, that part is quite natural. I find that the double ended figure eight is the hardest part. (For me anyway).
@@petehalsey4529 The three sectional staff really seems like one of the most difficult flexible weapons out there. Nuchaku seems like a walk in the park by comparison.
No. Not knocking yourself out during the flairs is.
MrAchile13 it’s not as hard as you might think. Once I got it on my head that you need to rotate the waist it got easier. Now that was hard for me lol.
jchoneandonly oh man, I’ve knocked myself on the head more than once. Never got knocked out but I ended up holding my head more than once!
Who here after seeing that boy Toji crazy
geto before skull lid
One swing like that to my head then I'll go back to meet my grand grand parents
you mean great grand parents?
Naaah ! Just throw a big fishing net... he'll knock himself back to his grandmother 🐯
No shit sherlock
I'm pretty sure it kills your after life to
I’ll be meeting Adam and Eve
This is a simulation how Toji Fushiguro‘s fighting with Playful Cloud
To be honest, this is just the better cousin of nunchucks.
If by better you mean more likely to knock your own teeth out or shatter your eye socket with.. then I agree. 🤣
@@bensbikex510 actually not really, if you think you are going to hit yourself with the 3 section staff just spin and keep the momentum till it slows down as you slow down since that freezing up or sudden stop is what's going to get you hit as the other sticks on the chain are still in motion but still more controllable than a nunchaku and more useful.
Lets not argue about practicality as lets be real here you are not carrying either of these in public over say a gun or a trusty knife unless you are going to a demonstration or a martial arts school as its just not practical even if you are proficient plus the legality of such stuff differs from place to place. But a weapon carry license covers just about any weapons that you don't need a tax stamp for (for some reason people mostly use them for guns and not using other weapons as fashion statements like long sword in a back scabbard as a example), if you are not sure of the legality of a weapon if you can't find it online however if you can't find the legality online usually it is not illegal to carry
@@JohnnyYeTaecanUktena I actually carry nunchucks and a three section staff almost everytime I go out. I don't know your experience with the weapons but they are VERY practical to carry around.
In my state you can carry them anywhere as long as they are unconcealed meaning that they have to be in plain view for everyone to see. It gets a little annoying cause people always walk up to me and go "Woah is that a real three section staff?" "Do you know how to use it?" "Can you show me some moves?" "Can I hold it???"
(Oh and hears a fun fact did you know that back scabbards never existed?" They were made up by hollywood and warriors never carried swords on their back in history)
@@spudbuttowski Well back scabbards never existed in the past but these days people have made some of their own and made it to where it would be practical and protected the blade from the rain. In my state you can honestly carry anything as long as you have a weapons carry permit which covers any weapon not just knives or guns but everyone always just defaults to calling it a gun permit and think you are going to carry a gun since you have one
@@JohnnyYeTaecanUktena That makes sense and I've seen videos of people making their own back scabbards but they're still a long way away from becoming mainstream since you know there's no where to buy them
everyones gansta until he rubs the two end to sharpen it
Toji
Doh, he must've been so annoyed with himself not pulling a perfect collect right at the end, after such a good demo.
I think he did that on purpose
He ended it the same way he started 2 in the hand one in the pinky.
Me playing with the broomstick as a kid 😂
POV: You came here after watching toji play around with playful cloud
I was so excited last week when my sensei said I might be learning three sectional staff soon, now I realize I’m probably going to get my skull beat multiple times in the process 😭
Anyone here after Jujutsu Kaisen’s latest episode
Hell yeah
same here, tryna figure out why the staff was so hard to use
@@kennykusnadi2777 Youre trying to figure out why a staff that is cut into 3 pieces connected by chain is hard to use? bruh.
Kinda
Just wanted to see how Dahlia Sin'felle fought.
special grade cursed tool: playful cloud
This guy will put it on you in a hot second or two. Respect!!!
Playful Cloud
Give the red one, I'll fight cursed spirits
A weapon crafted in the vain of a striking, coiling dragon. Artistic. magnificent craft.
Very nice. Solid routine with all the moves am aware of displayed in less than two minutes. Props.
This should form one of the basic exercises for physical-training in the army. Knowing how to hit the ground and yet not lose grip or lose control gives confidence to gain momentum before releasing(throw).
PVC-pipe with sand and end-screw caps and (5mm to 10mm)nylon-rope . No-cement. No-gloves. The slower the better.
I’ve made my life living building, making and restoring beautiful things.
This could be the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.
Thanks to Shaw brothers and imagination I’ve always had a huge fascination for the tri-staff.
I completely
beat myself silly in my younger years just trying to at least scratch this type of talent.
This is by far the most impressive demonstration that I’ve ever seen in regards to kung fu’s most deadly weapon.
What a triumph!!!
This mans skill, and art seems completely...otherworldly!
Everything flowed so perfectly that you’d have thought he was born with it in his hands.
Perfection...perfect perfection.
Thanks so much for sharing!!
Eyy Shaw brothers let me ask you about this opinion: if a Filipino make a Chinese/Arabian martial arts manga is that bad or good
There is one of three movies "The Shaolin temple" (I don't remember 1st, 2nd, or 3d one) where Jet Lee is very yang. There are also few scenes with 3 section staff, which are very impressive. If you are so fascinated of this kind of weapon, you can easy find all three movies and to watch these scenes.
Alex Luke well thanks for looking out,I’ll look into that,as a teen I Collected tri-staff focused movies, and even beat myself up a little with a few cheap flea market ones.
“Avenging eagle”,and “triple irons” are two movies that focus on the 3 staff pretty much exclusively....
This guy in the video was just the best I’ve ever seen without special effects.
Even some of the monks sometimes look a little... ? “Choppy” ...”tried”
But this dude could be the best I’ve ever seen....at lest the smoothest by far.
@@andrewgarratt5191 thank you, my friend for this advise. I founded already "Avenging eagle" of 1978. But the second one "Triple irons" of 1972 or 73 I could found only a trailer. Anyway thanks a lot, I'll found it anyway. Sorry for my English and good luck with your training.
Jet Li and Dante of DMC5 bring me here
Bout time someone did a 3 section staff vid
This is how playful cloud should used.
Toji's gonna show you how to use that shit like a beast😂
The extension is usually 9 ft.+ 16 in. Of rope or chain. So, just past 10 feet of kenotic energy. Add to it the length of your arm. That's 15- 20 foot distance. The reach of the dragon.
i was scared the whole video for the guy's head
that one sounds like its plastic
@@fj094t58qjf still
@@aokifuuu263 imagine crying over getting hit by plastic
@@fj094t58qjf clearly you haven't been hit by hardened plastic as used for some bo and 3 section staffs. that type of plastic is hardened through and thorugh, not hollow nor light. it basically will feel like a metal rod to your head but you wouldn't know, you'd be knocked out or in the hospital from blunt force trauma.
@@grim2642 im talking about the one in this video, sure a hardend plastic can knock someone unconcious, but not when you are using it yourself, the techniques he used in this video is almost impossible to do any serious damage to himself.
i used to make three sectional staffs and nunchucks all the time when i was young.
That was cool! I’m fairly decent with nunchaku and a long time practitioner of Kali-but I envision myself clocking myself in the head BIGTIME if I attempt what Master Zhang does here
Awesome moves. Congratulations.
his movement is perfect skills
He doesnt frighten me, He scares the shit out of me.
Beautiful dance
Nicely executed Master
Amazing!
3 section staff is for amateurs. I was studying π section staff, but my sensei convinced me it was irrational.
🤣😂 well played!
@@Nunchakux2 you understand it was a joke right? The symbol she used represents an irrational number it was wordplay she wasnt being serious.
@@Nunchakux2 Lmaoooo you need to understand math to understand the comment lmaoooooo...
Flipping majestic!
Love this.
Beautiful.
Eso si es otro level genial!!!
Superb!
Gotta give it up for him....by far one of the most difficult weapons to learn and use. In my opinion even more difficult than the rope dart. It can be useful but requires years of training to properly use.
wait till you start learning four section staff
This is harder than learning nunchaku
@@fj094t58qjf that's a thing?
Suicidal Potato • 38 years ago 😂
In short...No,
However in an old weapons history book some years ago,I came across a few examples of some three sectional staffs that had on one end added an extra section that was about 6” long...1/4 the length of the other 3 so that all three sections could be swung over head simultaneously by the single handed “handle”
But it was still listed as a “3 section staff” although...technically it was 4
It’s still just a “sanjiegun”
The book “claimed” that farmers could do this “swing all three over head” and ward off wild boar.
*cough cough bull shit*
🤷🏼♂️ but who knows, maybe boar in 19th century China scared much more easily than what we have in the states today.
@@andrewgarratt5191 oh, he got me I really thought there was a 4 section staff
Amazing 👏🏽
So cool
I see why Ban likes this weapon
Very, very, very impressive!!!!
He cold as hell with it
Wow amazing skills
Wow....Great....
Nice
I came here after playing Shadow Fight 3
Same
awesome
Wow nice master!.
jujutsu kaisen had me interested
same
Impressive!
To this day I have not seen my signature move, doing a backflip with three section in streets without mats
That was freaking rad
now make a video on four section staff
The version of this weapon in Jet Ali’s Fearless seemed to be longer
Cool!
kinda reminds me of Ban from Nanatsu no Taizai, thats the reason i was here anyway
I knew im not the only one

Very nice 👌🇧🇩
That is so badass
master perfefomance
Wait he didn't sharpen the edges of eachother and beat a special grade curse ?
Wow
ye.. you whirl it awesomely.. but is it less unwieldy than a flail? Oo or its two-segmented counterpart
Beautiful taolu.
Huston Jones got me in this
Ubi please
Could I ask, how long it takes to learn such thing? I, in my brain, would estimate a time of 20 years (or more) to come even in the near of these skills. Is this right or wrong?...This is above normal Limit.
You might be surprised to find that this is achievable in far, far less time than that. If you solely learned the 3 section staff, and for whatever reason had a capable teacher willing to start you out with a triple staff, you could achieve this level of skill in 4 years, maybe less, so long as you practiced well. Most kung fu masters with many years of training have mastered kicks, punches, forms and stances, grappling techniques and weapons. If one weapon took 20 years, you'd never find a master who knew more than a few. This man may have 20 years of training, but most of it was not focused on the triple staff, and he likely learned other weapons and techniques prior that allowed him to more easily learn this. If you were already adept in the pole, you could cut a full year or more off the time needed to learn the triple staff.
The size of the stick?
Waoow 😮 Nanatsu no Tazai Ban
Thats the entire reason I'm getting a pair lol

Ban: Impressive
Pretty sure Gege used this video to make the Toji vs Dagon Fight.
Funny how mostly of the moves would kill someone and then he just lands on the ground like a quick snap
Practice Like The Ancients!
I always liked this thing better than all weapons. Maybe not Katana but damn close
Tried spinning this weapon, its pretty hard to stop it immediately like that.
Goood kunfu master skilll
The more talanted cousin of nunchakus
:0 this is used in a bit of kobudo as well in okinawa
keren
But, Master? Why not show the "Dragon arm snap?".
Dagon: DOMAIN EXPANSIO-
Toji:
It really is as easy as it looks kids.
very badass

Hoq is that more effective than just a Bo Staff?
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaah
my head is thinking about toji now lmao
This man is a real master
you know *Ban* ?
The fox sin, of course. What disgrace doesn't?
Imagine ur a shogun in the edo period and ur opponent just starts break dancing.
I wonder if the guy who made this was like, "I really like the nunchucks, but if only the bottom part of the handle I'm holding had another handle on the bottom as well as the top..."
mass 🔥
I'd like to see him do all that with Darth Maul.
this is where i say a bad word of astonishment
