Saw the depth of cut Chris was taking and immediately felt like a complete and utter wuss. Never have gotten carbide feeds and speeds sorted out myself, though I also really haven't had the right project to let loose on with it. Rock on.
Chris & Rowdy, what amazing work!!! It may not be an exciting video for the general public, but I'm fascinated by Chris's machining skills. Thank you two for sharing these videos of restoring a steam locomotive. Once King County finishes working on highway 18, so I don't have to spend 6 hours in traffic, I'll be coming back to volunteer at MRSR.
These videos are absolutely amazing. I could watch Chris do his machinist magic all day. Learn much from just observing all this beautiful work. Thanks Rowdy for filming these and your hilarious dry Witt and expert insight! Chris you’re a true artist, thanks for sharing with us!
Chris , you are doing a wonderful job on repair and restoring the locomotives- Way to go guys ! oh and Rowdy- Broccoli is good for you - try it with Cheddar cheese sprinkled on top. :D
I think the original diet is so much better. Cheers from Canada where is AM it is a toasty -37C -34.7F wind chill -49C enjoy the rain Great videos guys. Keep them coming!
@@andrewframe8046 I was gonna say, there's broccoli that he'd probably eat, it probably just involves more garlic and cheese than broccoli, lol! Rowdy is an old school railroad guy apparently... :D
I would love to apprentice under Chris./ He has the smirk I love. He reminds me ofmy mentor when I was apprenticing in Bell 47's in the 60's. Please continure the great work Chris. I love it!
I agree - Broccoli is nasty. Apples are good. If you spray the skillet with an ample amount of Pam when you cook the Broccoli it is easier to scrape it into the trash can. Cheetos are a part of a balanced diet. I gave up whiskey 37 years ago so I can't speak for todays quality. Looks like great work halfway through the video so I'll just comment now. Take care, jack

THE UA-cam RAILROAD CREATORS ARE CONGREGATING!!

New series: Finding health food that Rowdy can stomach.
Bethan tried to force kale on him today. Epic failure.

@@andrewframe8046 sold! :D I will happily lose because I am not great at most things but it'd be fun lol
Still enjoy watching what you guys do. You are taking the mystery out of maintaining a steam locomotive.
I am loving the videos! It may be repetitive work but it’s all interesting to learn and see.

I would definitely watch a video on grease vs oil, please make that!
Another job well done.
would Mt Rainer rail ever run trains out of Tacoma, WA up the big hill ? or it can't ever happen again ?
My main course always has parents.

Way to go guys !
When will you work on the 5 again? I really want to see more of that engine
Man this is my dream job here, you guys don't need a cdl holder do you. I work for locomotive drive time...
Rowdy! Steam the broccoli otherwise it tastes like fricking vomit.
16:37 rowdy eat the broccoli with cheese sauce or Tostitos queso con salsa
When I die I will leave my press to you.
Rowdy to be fair, those "steamer" healthy meals leave a lot to be desired.
19:20 do it!!!!!!!!!!!!
Smother the broccoli in melted cheese.
I'd take red meat over broccoli any day of the year.
My boy needs some butter and garlic... Man can stomach anything with enough butter, garlic, or adobo
@@godlugner5327 if I have to eat vegetables I’ll take a potato
12:39 Haha miss me with that shi- Oh, wait... Nevermind.
