I realize I am late to the video and am still relatively new to HEMA. However, I have a few questions about the technique. It appears similar to krumphau with the difference of objectively switching sides versus entering a bind or stepping outward with an attack. Is that accurate? Assuming so, could the technique and its follow-ups be utilized from a defensive shrankhut? From hangen? Thanks
Meyer regularly quotes him, but his teachings are detailed and varied enough that people study meyer specifically, ive only seen one school study liechtenauer's work without putting meyer into focus.
@@wulfocrow5549i do Lichtenauer(mostly Danzig and 3227a) and I sometimes find myself going to Meyer for glosses that are missing or vague on the Zettel. Kurzhau beeing one for example.
1:58 Oh my Gosh! That last hit. That must have hurt. Ouch! x_X

very good! but your poor partner in the last play. Was that "oh fudge!"? ;)
We both were very happy about the last blow :D
Good video! You are such a master. I want to read your book. Can you tell me the name of your book? Thank you very much!
great vids, guys!
fyi, the third person present tense form of 'try' in English is 'tries'. Same as the plural noun.
oh yes...thank you for pointing that out ;) unfortunately, too late :D
Björn Rüther future reference! Irregular verbs are especially weird in English, very arbitrary. In any case, great content.
Great video!
Question, what brand mask overlay is that?
Hi Will,
here is a link to the shop: www.allstar.de/shop/product_info.php?info=550000010.html&XTCsid=f0b0df1d1289dd1deac6920b7796d03e
Wow!
ausnehmen is different from abnehmen?
Abnehmen is a typical Liechtenauer technique in which the fencer changes sides from a bind. So yes, it differs :)
Björn Rüther Random question roughly speaking how much Liechtenauer did Meyer inherit?
Meyer regularly quotes him, but his teachings are detailed and varied enough that people study meyer specifically, ive only seen one school study liechtenauer's work without putting meyer into focus.

You guys use masks and clamshell armor. But where's the baseball body armor? 🤨🤔
