In any military it's a cardinal rule and the ultimate sin to leave any soldier behind. I find it hard it believe special forces such as ODST's would do it, and like seven times at that. However that was some great story telling and excellent stop motion work. I'd definitely watch again and look forward to a second. :)

@breaking the 4th wall like I wouldn’t say so…look at attack on titan,there was one scene where a carriage was slow and giants were running to get the soldiers and the weight of the carriage was the already dead friends that they had…may be a cardinal sin but when its just risky I’d say no unless you wanna become one of em
@@tacticalnuke6931 attack on titan is not a good example. its a hilariously bad example to compare a dystopian titan-killing anime to an 8 minute science fiction space war stop motion fan film.
that being said you're wrong anyway, it's a pretty common dilemma in war media between the mission, the orders you're given, your duty to humanity, and the men and women on the battlefield with you, your duty to those around you.
in this video, it's the choice between this highly classified super important crate they're ordered to protect, they're sent there to get or die trying, and one man who may already be dead. and if they're not dead, they're about to be. some may view it as futile to go back, it would be too much of a risk to the mission it may be completely pointless and that soldier knew the risks.
both sides are understandable, and both sides have their own justifications, it just depends on your perspective and opinion. the potential lives lost if you don't complete your mission versus the lives lost on the mission. the need of the many outway the need of the few.
Dude, this may not be the best animation I seen, but man, those deaths hit hard I love the animation and its story. You might be thinking "hey, but you said it wasn't the best animation I've seen." But here's the cache, its one of my favorites.

Amazing effects on the first person POV and custom HUD for the ODST helmets. Also, cool headshot effect for the kill onto the brute driving the chopper. Well done m8.

Very well done. I admit though the soldiers holding their guns by the barrel is a little bit of a pet peeve with me but other then that nice squad dynamic and truly tragic. Little bit of a fan of Blackhawk down? Hmmm 😏 I kid I've borrowed from my own share of source material 😜

Odst’s are my favorite figure to collect, because just the thought of these soldiers that are above marines, but below Spartans, is cool. Also since that get to go on dangerous missions that would probably result in death but if they don’t they will make a hell of a time out a bit killing covies and like to me it’s just cool because then they get to be in groups they have their own nicknames and that’s why I just love collecting them just because I like the design and the backstory
