After 30 years since I have started dancing ballet,that's the first time I see chasse like this one and passe chasse...I cannot imagine that somebody can teach ballet interpreting the ballet technique this way.

In modern French "chassé" doesn't mean "slide", nor "chase". It does however mean hunt, or chase away, or expel. And chassé is a noun, un chassé, like an expulsion or a hunt. The verb or action would be "chasser". Hope that helps.

THIS IS NOT CORRECT! 1) "Chasse" means "to chase", "to hunt", or "to pursue." 2) I think what she is trying to have her girls do is "temps lie" which is to transfer the weight from one foot to the other 3) This is NOT the correct way to do a "temps lie" !!!!!!!! You must demi plie then tendu, or some interpret it tendu fondu. I have never seen anyone just slide from one position to another while in plie, THAT IS WHAT TENDU IS FOR
I think her goal is to get the students to "slide" the foot from fifth to fourth. This helps novice or younger dancers use the floor properly. The sliding action is chasse. That's what she is referring to.
In England and Wales, this is how I've been taught to chassé but upon watching American videos I see differently as it looks more like a gallop. I'm so confused now. Help??
derierre is "back" so anything done behind you. this is chasse, though many people teach chasse as a sort of gallop, this is a true chasse. You can jump it later (especially when moving forward)
That's because they teach the jazz chasse and students get confused like many commenting here haha. There is that ballet chasse and a jazz chasse. The ballet chasse is what she is demonstrating in this video, the jazz chasse is the one that has the chasing forward movement, hope that helps 😀
This is actually right it is a ballet chasse, and it's not a temp lie because a temp lie does not start with a demi plie, it starts with a tendu. And of course it's not a glissade (that's a jump). At least that's how you learn it in the English Method.

There's not squatting in this video. A plie is much different than a squat. In a squat your butt goes back in a plie it doesn't. But this isn't really a chasse video, their Temp lies

I always thought this step was actually called the “pas chassé” which means “chased step” and it means with weight on step B, step with foot A (or slide, whatever: move it somewhere and put your weight on it) and then “chase” it by closing foot B to foot A and putting the weight back on B. Often the “chase” occurs as a little beat in the air during a hop off foot A, putting the weight back on foot B by landing on it.

Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die" - if we break one in thought/word/deed it's as if we're guilty of all of them. He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us.
