    Good review. Seriously. Bikes until recently have been all Japanese, or Harley which is now almost Chinese parts. And I think they have a Chinese competitor to CF MOTO as well. So competition is good. Makes us get better quality and more affordable motorcycles. Good for everyone! Especially with the new tech. And ABS is standard. You can see my reply is edited. CF MOTO has a 2 year warranty not 1. For all the haters.

    This bike fills the gap for me that the last gen Versys 650 did. The newer gen Versys morphed into something different than what I was interested in. Looks like a great value!

    Excellent detailed riding review, really enjoyed it! So the question becomes, should you buy a new Adventura or a low mileage 10 year old V-Strom or Versys? CFMoto atvs have been out for some time here in the US, but the bikes are relatively new, so I think for most people the jury's still out as it relates to reliability and long term owner satisfaction. By 2025 there will be enough bikes on the road with decent miles to provide a better understanding of the overall picture. If the negatives are minimal and there are lots of positive owner reviews, I would expect CFM sales to start climbing.

    I had a very bad experience with a Chinese bike(GPX) ... I will never own or ride one again. Because they cost less, BY NO MEANS are they a bargain. We get what we pay for...this is especially true for Chinese motorcycle. You should be careful what you recommend to your viewers.
    The shift issues you experienced, are just a tell tail sign for the troubles an owner can expect... We won't even talk about the issues of getting these things repaired.

      Who is GPX? Cf Moto has been selling ATV’s and side by sides in the states for nearly 20 years and I own one. I can’t fault it, you fight with the shifter just like Polaris ATV/sis garbage I’ve worked on for years. CFMoto is offering some great bikes, are they a better deal than a competitor brand maybe not but they save you money and offer you a similar to better experience. Most of the brands out there are subbing out their less expensive bike builds to companies like CFMOTO and then rebadging it. Most people are aware but I’m glad he mentioned it with KTM as an example on this but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Thankfully you have choices. Buy a Kawasaki Versys if you want something “different” lol

      Gpx is not cfmoto, cf moto has been around for a long time. They make very good atvs and side by sides. You should be the one not telling people that cf moto isn’t any good. You didn’t do your homework, these are not your typical Chinese brand.

    The only downside for me would be the resale or part exchange value of the bike when you decide to move it on or trade in ,here in Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 the price of a secondhand machine is really poor even with a few thousand miles on the clock, it’s well below half the original cost in less than 18 months old , should be a good cheap commuter,

    I just bought the '22 650NK on clearance at my second most local cfmoto dealer for 3999. They told me it was an error and they meant to advertise it at 4599. But none the less i got mine for 3999. The 22's are now advertised at 4500. But something crazy happened. They're now selling adventuras for 3990! I definitely like the looks of the nk better, but it's pretty darn cool that the adventura has inverted forks. The NK does not!

    Hi Craig, nice vodeo. The engine of the Adventura 650 is the same engine that the Kawasaki Versys 650 used a few years ago. It's a good engine, quite reliable. The brakes are J. Juan, a Spanish company specialized in superbike competition, Brembo acquired it 3 years ago. Greetings from Monterrey, México.

    • @hecsaca
      @hecsaca 9 місяців тому

      @@MujoNovak Well, to begin with, it must be clarified that I live in the place where a CFMOTO assembly plant will be installed in Mexico, in Monterrey. CFMOTO maintains a very close relationship with KTM and in fact manufactured the engines for the 790 Adventure, and manufactured the engines for the Kawasaki Versys 650. In Europe KTM distributes CFMOTO motorcycles. KISKA DESIGN is the company that designs KTM motorcycles and KISKA also designed the 650 Adventura (which is called 650 MT worldwide except in the USA) The engine of the IBEX 800 T (which is called 800 MT Touring worldwide) ) uses the same engine as the KTM 790 Adventure, and the IBEX 800 was also designed by KISKA. There is a lot of information about what CFMOTO manufactures for Premium motorcycle brands, brands like BMW, KTM, KAWASAKI, HUSQVARNA and a long etcetera. The information is there, you just have to look for it.

      Richard, because we are friends I will ask you this. What about your phone, tv, microwave, washing machine and car? Pretty much everything that has electronic parts made in the last 20 years had a good portion of its components made in China. Do we just draw the line at vehicles when the company is Chinese owned?

    • @richardmourdock2719

      very true of course... but that doesn't mean I have to like it. I often find myself thinking back to the 70s when Nixon "opened China". All the American business folks were excited by that the large potential market more than 1 billion Chinese provided. But I remember thinking back then.." just how many Chevrolets or Oldsmobile or Buicks can they afford???" I know several people who have shut down American plants and bought plants in China. One is running for governor in fact. Again the table of trade is slanted... and in the long run... well, my run won't be that much longer anyway... And in fairness, I remember thinking the same about Japanese stuff... wrote the owner of four Hondas and two Yamahas and my wife drives a Subaru.

      @@richardmourdock2719 It would nice if we made more stuff here, but we literally gave it all away. I was listening to an interview awhile back and they were talking about making clothes here, but other than a few small makers, we have no infrastructure or the know-how to do that. Same with many other things...sad, but true. But, we do make software, video games and drugs...

      @@richardmourdock2719 Why do Americans and Europeans Chinese cars? Because they are cheap, reliable and have a good fuel economy. Most American cars are big, heavy and use a lot of gas and are technically less refined than Chinese, Korean, Japanese and European cars. The small Chevrolets are an exception, but they are actually Daewoos.

    Nice review, thank you. 50% Made in China with forced labor, not to mention the potential for low quality components, thats why it has a ridiculously low price, caveat emptor.... As you elequently indicated, we've made China a financial powerhouse by buying from them for decades and now they are a well funded military force to be reckoned with. I'll stick with buying motorcycles from the US and our allies. Time to speak up, time to think beyond whats cheapest.
