I also found out that 100 km/h is the ideal speed for highways. The DNA air filter gives some 10 km/h extra speed and the bike gets the max speed more easily, I would say effortlessly. But as we know, speed is not important here - it's the wonderful feeling of riding a bike with this kind of character. I 've had bigger bikes, but Royal Enfield 350 Classic is something unique.
The topspeed is enough, if need go faster then buy a crotch rocket (Sports bike) 😊

Hi Marc. My Classic 350 has no modifications and now it's run in, it's plenty fast enough! I have no problem getting to 60 mph on the motorway and still have a bit in reserve. But it handles so well on all roads that the lack of top end speed is far outweighed by the way the bike rides and handles so easily. I absolutely love it. Thanks for sharing the videos. Stay safe. for me the speed is enough too. My Vespa Gts runs also 120 km/h, which is also fast enough to do long distance road trips. The handling of the Classic 350 is very good indeed. The look is outstanding. Ride safe, cheers Marc

Nice to know that the 350 is capable when traveling on the highways, thanks for the information. I’m waiting to see the new aurora colors for the Meteor 350 in 2024. Hopefully it makes its way to the States.

They look even more great in real life! I saw them in Milan.
The Classic 350 is best on country roads, but short distances on the highway are possible.
People travel 1000s of km on this bike travelling the length and breadth of India, including Ladakh, which is the heaven for cruise/off road biking.
Marc, the optimum is around 85-100.
But, really, I love the engine sound at all revs... I'm in deep thought after this video...

120 km is ok for the Autobahn, as long as you can pass trucks it's fine.

I noticed that jumping from the Vespa 300 to the RE Classic, the seating position feels very familiar! Legs and arms will take the same angles, and the riding position feels very noble, somehow. It's probably the most comfortable motorcycle I have tried. But at higher speeds, the engine noise is getting a bit annoying. The acceleration of the Vespa is definitely better!
You are right, at top speed the engine sounds quite loud, best cruising speed is between 50-60 miles.

Is your bike completely stock with no modifications to the tuning or air box? Also, I test rode all of the 350 models during the Sturgis Rally this past August. The route took us by a radar sign that indicated the speed as
we were approaching. In every case, and with every 350, when the speedometer said 35 on the bike, the sign read 32. Just FYI.
My bike is stock at the moment, but I will change the air box soon, mybe I will also install the FuelX.
I'll be checking in to see how that works. I like the Classic and I, also, like the new Bullet. Just need a little more oomph for this old fat guy.@@Marc.Stones
@jroberthadden: I bought a new '23 RE Meteor 350 in July (and have 2,000+ miles on it now). As Marc and other folks have pointed out, like the Classic the sweet spot for the Meteor 350 is in the 55 - 60 mph range (especially for the Meteor, which doesn't have a windshield). I agree with that sentiment, and if I wanted to ride much faster than that very often, I'd buy another bike. (In fact, I do have another 350, a BMW C 400 GT, that will go about 89 mph on level ground.)
Having said all that -- the Meteor 350 is much like the RE Classic, and is a wonderful and fun bike when riding back roads -- I was still curious about the speedometer accuracy. So after the break-in period and its break-in service, I did a special test for accuracy, which I recorded. I can't post a link here, but if you do a UA-cam or even a Google search for "wspollack 2023 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Speedometer Accuracy Test" you're sure to find it.
The bottom line, according to my methodology, is exactly what you described: the speedo reads about 3 mph (5 km/h) high, once the bike gets moving. A lot of speedos over-display by a percentage of the speed, but the Meteor 350 just over-displays by a fixed number. I suspect that the speedo on the Classic works the same way.
I had a look at your video, I think the Classic will be the same, I will test it when the snow has gone :-)
I have several other much larger and faster bikes that I keep licensed and insured. It would be nice, and I'd like to see, a new Bullet 500 that would, easily run 75mph. Out here in the wild west we have many secondary roads that have a 70 mph speed limit posted and our interstates are 80. Having a little backroads bike, like the 350s would be fun but, many times after a day long riding around my area, it is nice to just get back on the interstate and blast home before the sun sets.@@wspollack
What has a higher top speed: Classic 350 or a Honda Forza 125 ?

would this be a good beginner bike for an 18 year old? I really like everything about it except that i dont know if it fits to me or if the horse power is enough.

No the ECU does the recalibration automatically
