Quick question if you see this: was there anything on the pressure plate that you had to remove prior to removing the lift mechanism? There seems to be a hex head on mine that needs to be removed off the old one in order for it to be lifted out. Thanks!
@@baymaxhero4127 I went ahead and got it done since I hadn't heard back. Nothing had to be removed from the end of the piston/pressure plate. Once you have the trim motor bolts out, you can pull the entire assembly right out from the engine compartment!

Can you show how the lift mechanism works? I have the exact same system but my outdrive tilts up and down freely by hand with no resistance.
