Mind blowing that Em wrote Dre’s verses on this. 🤯 And Dre was talking about the new label he started that began the dominance of Dre and Em in the early 2000’s. Hit after hit. Classics.
Also he wrote it for Dre and snoop at first
Also He wrote Watcher, N Lets Get High.. No wonder Em has freestyles out on those 2 beats out on the net
Jay Z wrote Dre's Part .
My bad he wrote Still Dre Day
@@christopherison7749 he wrote dre’s part on Dre day.
As a 45 year old who still has all the lyrics of the entire album memorized it somehow still never fails to surprise me that there are grown folk in the world now that haven't heard these tracks.
I mean I understand it when I think about it, but there is a deeper part of my subconscious that refuses to not be surprised each time. 😆
90’s rap is the best rap.
Why did you Americans go to 'folk', I honestly preferred when you lot said 'Ya'll' lol
@@MW-cx3sb It honestly is just a matter of region of the south I was raised in combined with being born nearly five decades ago. Lol
For me they are fairly interchangeable, but mostly "y'all" gets used in most situations. Especially when denoting three or more people at a time.
While "folk" mostly gets used in conjunction with other descriptives such as "grown", "old", "young", "lazy", "crazy", etc.
It isn't really a conscious effort either way as to which gets used per situation. Mostly just decades of habit from established speech patterns I picked up from my grandpa and others I was raised near the most.
Honestly though I agree with you and prefer "y'all" as well when consciously thinking on it. 😆
Have a great day, and I hope that helped answer your questions to some degree. 😁
5:57😂
Especially when its a black guy who is into hip hop
I was upstairs listening to my Will Smith CD lol
"What, cause I been in the lab, with a pen and a pad tryin to get this damn label off? I ain't havin that. This is the millennium of Aftermath" Yeah Dre was talking about launching Aftermath Records. Great reaction bro! Keep it up
Seriously you are one of my bright spots every day. Thank you for the continued content. My 74 year old mother in law and I watch you every day. I hope you continue to explore all the music
Just found your channel and can’t stop watching, your openness to new music and positivity is amazing. I’m from the UK and Just wanted to let you know that your videos are great!
Same here, the algorithms doing its thing for him haha.
That was dope, I grew up on this stuff, it's fire to see the new gen appreciate the greats. You showed mad respect too.
When he talks about getting his label off he is talking about having to leave Death Row without any credit and starting the Aftermath label. When he talks about them not bumping him in his last CD he is talking about his first Aftermath CD, which I think is underrated. He did a fire redo of David Bowie's Fame.
Now you’re bringing it! This one is fiya🔥
I love your reactions!! You catch so much that other reviewers miss or think means somwthing else. You will question what things mean. And the comment are always great in letting you know. Much love ❤
I got this album the day it dropped. We waited months for it and it did not disappoint. Still have every word memorized.
Eminem wrote “the watcher” for Dre on this same album. The up in smoke tour in 2000 was 🔥. Can’t really think of any other rap concert close to as good.
Shon, I’m finding it extremely hard to believe u ain’t heard this song
me too
Hittman had a lot of good verses on Dr. Dre's "2001" album.
Thanks ❤️ Much Love!
Dr. Dre is nothing less than a musical genius. The classic beats and samples he's put together over the years is mind blowing.
Damn bro I just discovered you but you bring knowledge into the reactions. Good shit man ✊🏽
your energy is amazing.
Dre left Death Row with nothing to get away from Suge’s nonsense and started Aftermath. He wasn’t having much success with his new label until he signed Eminem though. He was actually in danger of being dropped and going under after the first few releases on the label didn’t do well.
Greatest hip-hop producer ever. I think originally Em wrote this for Dre and Snoop, right? EPIC video
Yeah, he did. ❤
cool!@@rebeccalebeck9180
umm...Snoop's not in this video part'na
@@Hdamaall yeah. that's why I said "originally" ...paht-nuh
Em & Dre always a great combo. Still D.R.E, Forgot about Dre, Hello, Let's get High. They have so many classics together
Bro the energy in this reaction was top notch
There is no way this was the first time this dude heard this song. I don't believe it.
Still hard to believe not everyone on earth has heard this song 🤣 I remember it being on MTV and the radio round the clock
Dont believe him, hes a lier. he has 100% heard this song before.
I was bumping Dre on my boombox rolling up to elementary school in the early 90’s
Em wrote this for Dre!! you can tell how much he loves and respects him 💞
He actually wrote it for snoop and Dre and when he showed Dre the reference track Dre said that’s a hit we keeping it this way
Hittman fully took his opportunity with this one 🤣
Everyone talks about the lyrics in this song, but let's pay homage to how both musical artists delivered their lyrics. That's where the music happens.
Watching from Greece.hi everybody.
I can't believe that there's one single person in America (especially black) that haven't heard about the great Dr. Dre or 'the chronic'.
First time for me too (you younger than, me older than). Thnx for the explanations.
100k soon brother 👀👀
The same news reporter is also in the music video “stan”

I just watched your Walk Like An Egyptian reaction and loved it. If you want another song related to Egypt, check out Steve Martin - King Tut
Happy New year to you all. Hope the next is different for the positive
Dre is a genius
2:36 I thought he was saying I brought you the OG's as in the original gangsters because they invented gangster rap
Em is the GOAT
Dre’s talking about leaving Death Row to start Aftermath and the period that people forgot about him even though he was putting out bangers , East Coast West Coast Killas was an awesome track
Songs a classic
Brought the OG’s.
That’s the label
Yooo you gotta check out That Mexican OT- Johnny dang, or his newest track. Straight🔥
He was talking about starting his own label called Aftermath.
Heat 🔥
Fire!!!
Not oldies the OG’s
lol didn’t realise powerhouse Hobbs had a reaction channel 😂❤
He was trying to get Aftermath Records off the ground. Its the label he started after he fell out with Suge and left Death Row.
You should check out ... Westside Connection - The Gangsta, The Killa And The Dope Dealer and Bow Down ... absolute Killa tracks.
He started label Aftermath.
He said he was also bringing the OGs! The oldies and OGs
The explicit but still censored version.
Shon if you like the Blues. Check out Bobby Rush I Ain't Studdin Ya.
NWA are *THE* OG's in rap. Dre is reason they were a success in the first place. He's the one that made Snoop a star. He made Ice Cube a star. He made Eminem a star. He made Fugees stars. If it weren't for Dr. Dre half of 90's hip hop never would've happened.
But Dre only released two solo albums so some people forget everything he's done hip hop. The label he was getting off at the time was Aftermath Records. I urge you to look it up. You'll find at least half of the REALLY good rappers from the last 30 years on that label.
Eminem wrote this for Dre and snoop, once Dre seen the reference track Eminem put together he said let’s keep it like that, snoop got sidelined 😂
I'm not even tryin to glaze em but em brought dre's career back. after he left deathrow he started aftermath up and he did an album with nas called the firm and it flopped even though it was lowkey hard. dre just wasnt really buzzin and then he signed em and he got huge. then dre dropped the 2001 album and em wrote a few records on there (not saying em is the reason that album is great but he did his part) and then 3 years later they sign 50 and went 50/50 on it ironically but em was the one who wanted to do it. without em dre would still be sucessful but just not the billionaire he is today.
This was after he left Death Row and starting Aftermath.
Have you tried “Guilty Conscience “ - my favorite old Em
Did someone say any thing about Shug Knight?
The whole 2001 album wouldn't have been the same without Hittman. This outro was supposed to be a precursor to his debut album but for whatever reason it never dropped.
React to I Need a Doctor if you haven’t yet by Em and Dre
Please react to (Eminem dr dre medicine man )❤
How have you never heard this song?
That was common in the early 00's in their songclips to then plug either a rapper/RnB artist they just signed to their label or the beat to their next single they gonna shill. Enjoy it all you want but they think of you as gdp cattle.
He started his own label, there was a bunch of beef with Deathrow & Suge Knight so Dre started his own shit and signed Em after that they ain’t done nothin but win since
I don’t know how you have not heard some of these song before 🤷🏿♀️
can we Get some KRS-One My philosophy
👏💯🐐🔥❤️✊😎
Nowadays everybody wanna talk... yeah never been more true... 2024
i'm sure you already heard this- he was trying to launch the Firm. I suspect interference from more places than you can imagine.
Who brought you the OG's
Uh this song was 20 years ago. This is Dre barely into his career
I hate that they cut a section out of Ems verse in this cut ... "two broken legs, tryna walk it off" part.
React to Lazarus new song “Scalpel” produced by Denaun Porter of Shady Records. Just came out, most lyrical song of 2023!! No Life Shaq just did a reaction, Tech N9ne posted it too! 🔥
Start a label... Aftermath. The label he started after he left Death Row
Hope you check out another Dre and Em did together. It is titled I Need a Doctor, and Guilty Conscious. Another great Em track, not with Dre, would be with Royce Da 5 9. It is called Bad Meets Evil. Link below.

You want bars? Check out Eminem and Lil Wayne “No Love”. In my opinion, it’s the best.
Or do d o c whirlwind pyramid
He was being labeled a FLOP so he went to the lab to put out something right
Damn you make me feel old as fuck
You got to do guilty conscience then
Check out Dr dre Eminem xzibit what's the difference
I don't believe he didn't heard this song before. I just don't.

Getting off death row
Bro please react to Locksmith- signs
No way you’ve never heard this before ☠️🙄😂
Hey check out Obie Trice Dr Dre and Eminem Shit Hits The Fan!!!!!
wdym how can u forget about Dre??
How can u not even know who Hittman is??
Just started listening to you! You real good check out haileys song from Eminem it’s good
He said "OG's" not the "Oldies" lol....Eminem WROTE all these lyrics blud. All of his, and all of Dre's. Go listen to "The Watcher" by Dre. Dre, those lyrics were written by Eminem as if he was stating those lyrics from a black mans perspective....holy fucking hell!!! and yes, this was post Death Row and the label Dre was tryna "get off" was The Aftermath". Hittman was supposed to be the next big thing, but, as far as I know, his relationship with Dre dissolved.
No, he said oldies.
Please check out Purple Pills by D12.. that's Emenim and some other dudes
OG's not oldies
Speaking of alter egos, check out MF DOOM. He has quite a few. Viktor Vaughn is one.
How can you say, "How can you forget about Dre?" Then, proceed to tell us that you've never hear "forgot about Dre"?
You're lying about something, bro.
