Just a quick correction. Andrew Gaska did not write Hope’s Last Day. It was us Matthew Tyler-Jones and Dave Semark (and you will see our names in the credits). Free League approached us to write and run short introductory adventures at UKGE when the game was announced. We in fact wrote three adventures, a sequence called Last Hopes, and the one that became Hopes Last Day was the second in that sequence. Towards the end of production on the book they realised Andrew Gaskas Scenario Chariot of the Gods was too long, and they asked us to condense our work to 5000 words to fit it in the book.
Apologises, I thought there was only one writer involved in the project. I've edited that out from the start, it will take a couple hours for youtube to show it, and updated the description notes. Shame it was trimmed down. I'd have liked to see the other 2 adventures. In future printings i would ask free league to make the credits clear, all 3 of you including Andrew are listed in the Core book as Scenario Design. Not for Hopes Last Day specifically.
The PCs were actually out in a vehicle that broke down, which is why they had to walk back to the base. The PCs were out on a maintenance run to processor 9 when this happened.
Thanks for this. Really helpful. Never been GM on any game before, but I'm preparing to run this scenario with a group of 5 in about a month. Wish me luck.
@@jonathanbaago5312 It went great. Thanks for asking. Everybody actually survived if you can believe that. They had a blast. We're starting Chariot of the Gods next week.
The maps don't show the security station level minus 1 oposite the maintenance office.. near the linking corridor.... it was shown in the movie on the floorplan table
I'm not sure I agree with the point about the android being good at combat: indeed with no extra dice from stress, they probably less likely to do a lot of damage to the xenos (unless using a cutting torch/incinerator), though they make up for it by not wasting any ammo (which results with 6-shooters with unlimited ammo). IMO the biggest problem is how to handle the reveal of them being an android ("why isn't X rolling any stress die/doesn't panic?"), as it is clearly stated as being a hidden trait based on Singleton's agenda (the argument for this referring to Holroyd being a W-Y android specifically is moot because no-one does androids quite like W-Y). But for most runs, it could be possible to replace Holroyd with Osterman from the beginnig, just come up with a fitting agenda.
Yeah, reduce their base stats, and he should be fine as a human. Or remove him as a choice. I think the scenario works best with 4 anyway, there isn't a huge amounts going on.

@@RPGNook Scenario Design? what even is that? you would think author would be more apt. Design sounds more like layout, etc.
@@RPGNook Drew did canon-check the scenario, and corrected a couple of points so we were canon-compliant, hence his credit on the scenario too :-)
@@BBJones93 Hey, it’s our first credit in a published RPG, and an award winning one too, we’ll take what we are given 😀
god bless you guys for making something so fun and easy to dive into for new players to the alien universe!

Killing chest bursters normally gets a strong reaction out of the hive, which killing the doctor and the embryo inside her might trigger
I just bought all your PDF's, what a great channel. I feel like I need to give you more money
Wow!?! Thanks for the support. That is really great to hear. Next year will be getting busy! Tons to come.
The image of Weyland Yutani at the 5:52 mark say Weylan Yutani....I am surprised that such an important piece of lore imagery would be wrong.
Some good insight, thanks. Some action does take place on level 2, had me checking my notes

You will do great, there is no need for luck! Stay frosty.

Great overview. Will give me a better view of it when I read it. Thanks
Good Luck with the game!

Glad you enjoyed it!
How can I replace android? Reduce his Strenght and Agility and say he is human?

I did find the rule book and dice for the game. Thanks for the link.

If you never watched the movies you shouldn't be playing this game.
This game needs a strong mother and adept players. My opinion.
