Playing against Peacock is akin to playing a bullet hell game.

I always see people saying "Learn how to block." like smartasses and they think they're some sort of "pro veteran ultra players" or something like that, than its so easy as saying that, but this, this video was made by someone who REALLY know what is he doing
Forreal. Peacock players will name one move on your movelist and say that's it just use this one move to beat the matchup and not explain that you need to neutral jump to create holes to fight during Peacock's zoning

This video taught me one thing. It's always going to be easier to PLAY Peacock than it will be to fight against her.

It's more like whoever has the better assist wins. One gets to zone and the other tries to start his own zoning, which stops the other guy's zoning and it goes back and forth until someone dies from chip damage or an argus finisher. lol
worldjem As someone who's been maining Peacock for about a year, I can tell you that it's more about being smarter than the other opponent through mindgames. As an example, timing your teleport just right while they're pulling out a bomb or something can get you the drop on them through throws or combos. I usually win most Peacock v Peacock fights this way.

why play skullgirls when you can just play a 2d shooter game known as peacock
So, one of the reasons I really love Robo-Fortune is that her lp/mp lasers slice through bombs and other projectiles, as well as being useful for sniping assists. Similarly, her hp beam assist really helps in covering the approach of other characters, forcing Peacock to stop throwing stuff for a tad. Additionally, if you're feeling really ballsy, you can block item drops by spawning a head drone.
For one thing, I've noticed that zoner players in most any fighting game tend to freak out a tad when they get hit at their "safe" range, making Robo potent against anyone else that wants to fight at range.
You can also switch into your next character if they appear right next to peacock, e.g. beowulf and double.
Love this video, though wished you covered her teleports. To me, that's what really makes Peacock horrifying.

Also it's hurtbox not hitbox.
Leviathan has a hurtbox on all his moves (e.g. jHP).

Big Band is probably the hardest character to use against Peacock due to him have the biggest hit box of all, making him a giant target for all of Peacock's projectiles

The actual matchup is 50/50 on who actually wins assuming both characters are played optimally.
But Robo Fortune is never a bad choice when it comes to fighting peacock.

Having problems despite watching this over the years. Pea can put out Lenny. Stops you from advancing.
I need to block or risk eating huge damage if something hits me. While blocking, I take a lot of block damage.
Then as I get closer, the player can teleport away or M Bang.
I play Fukua, Band & Robo. So I need H Brass assist to stand a chance. L Beam can help on point. It's really tough.

i am big band main. if i ever countered this kind of situation, i just spam brass knuckle hp

What's the difference between hitbox and hurtbox?
Hitboxes (Red, usually) are what cause damage and stun to the opponent when they come in contact with hurtboxes (Greed, usually) and are present when you initiate an attack. Hurtboxes exist passively as part of your character's "body" and is what you are trying to hit with the hitboxes of your attacks.

WorldJem dropping real SG knowledge right here. Not even mad you're telling people how to beat my character. This is a great video. Just don't teach them how to deal with the teleport mixups.

DOUBLE HORNET BOMBER ASSIST
it knocks you full screen away if u get hit or block
and valentine's dash move has a drawback of stopping at the assist and not peacock
its usually the same peacock pattern you showed BUT double assist when u move so you cant jump over it
Kuribohchaos8 Bomber M and H have deadzones you can duck under, but if you have to block it, then you have to Pushblock it to keep yourself in place so you don't lose ground.
Similar situation in the video is at 5:40 where Parasoul PB's the plane bomb in the air.
But how does Peacock deal with Peacock

Peacock is an abomination of a character design. She's low risk for high reward you can't even punish assist calls. you have to make a bunch of hard guesses while she gets to control the whole screen for just existing. Add in high damage full screen confirms and full screen left right mix ups. WTF

She isn't low risk though. If you get close to peacock you can lock her up and just combo her to death. That's why she's so careful
Peacock also has a top 3 dmg output and resets (with assists)
Either way peacock snowballs like crazy once you close in on her, and all sg characters have insanely broken tools, peacock isnt op shes just insane
