- 144hz Vs. 240hz is a debate that comes with multiple conclusions and for good reasons. If you’re a gamer looking for an upgrade, should you go for a 240hz monitor, or would a 144hz monitor get the job done?

Simple... If you have a System, that can run Games with over 200 FPS, buy a 240hz Monitor. Otherwise buy a 140hz one, limit the FPS to 140 and be happy.
Agreed.
Well... my computer (and any modern computer) can put out 240+ hz at 4k/1440p in the windows desktop, when browsing, using office-programs etc. I wonder: is there a difference between 240 hz and 144 hz in these applications?
Because there sure were when I went from 60 hz to 144 hz.
got a 165hz monitor myself and im perfectly happy with it, i dont see a need for 240hz unless you game esports constantly.
To be fair, you’d probably be happy with anything above 100hz
@@chaniibak7702 for sure, it's nice and smooth enough for me lol no need to spend that much more on a 240hz
And then we have 500Hz monitors!
thanks for the video!
I think I will got with 144Hz and prioritize 2k and 4k quality, then a 240hz full HD for example
I think from the moment you get a 25 inch or bigger screen you need 2K resolution, and from 30inch you need 4k
Kids like let's play 250hz on 1080 trash instead of 180hz on 1440p
You see your wrong because for competitive games 250hz with 1080p is good but for story games and non competitive games 1440p 180hz is good / btw I rather go with 250hz 1080p
@@kennnyau2455 250hz on 1080p can really help in competitive gaming, which is why people make the choice over 1440 or 4k at a lower refresh rate.
I dont know what to do, i want to be able to do 4k 144hz on my monitor. But i also want to do 240hz 1080p on my computer.
If you play competitive games go with 240hz
There are dual band monitors that do this but the cheapest Costs 1200€ :/
@@yudeisylago407 I play both comp games and regular, slow paced games
@@GigaGoku69420at that price id just get the lg 4k 240hz oled
help me choose between lg 32gr93u vs lg 27gr95qe, both of them are about the same price at my region
probably the first one since even though the refresh rate is worse its not oled, which means the screen wont burn in
@@usecode_guest but oled looks so good bro. also its gotten harder and harder to actually damage the oled panel, if you just watch out a bit there shouldnt be an issue.
you should go for the secon option imo. 1440p 240hz is the perfect sweetspot in my opinion and oled simply looks incredible. you just have to watch out a bit to not damage it, a screen saver should do the trick tho. of you want a bigger panel 32" vs 27" or want 4k buy the first one.
if its for gameing look for the fastest response time and for that it would have to be OLED.
@@usecode_guest burn in is a thing of the past Linus tek has proven that. even the steam deck is now OLED.
