Willie is a national treasure. I hope when his life here end, one of his family members will put his old guitar in the Smithsonian . It belongs in a place for musical history for all to see. Thank you
What a beautiful duet, father and daughter ; I swear that Paula has her fathers way of singing; The way she brings out her lyrics , she’s a female Willie Nelson ; You go Girl 👍🏻
Just astounding! I have been a true Willie groupie since I was 12. I am now 57 and he has never disappointed nor lost his way. His talent, uniqueness perseveres. Love, truly love this man.
Heard this for the first time tonight closing out an HBO show.... it honestly took my breath away. So beautiful it lumps up my throat and makes my eyes leak...only Willie can do that.
Trisha- Totally agree, just beautiful...Have you ever seen the video of Willie Nelson and his son Lukas singing a duet cover of Pearl Jam’s- JUST BREATHE- If Not Please check it out- it’s also a great Willie take on another Classic Rock song--Big Willie Nelson fan....
CCR is sacred to me, being a child of the 60s, this popped up and I gave it a listen- damn good. Her voice is fine, fine and Willie... have to put it on my Willie playlist!
I'm also 59 and life couldn't be better. All the music I've loved for so many years, all here, all free, and soooo many great versions. This has always been my favorite CCR song (ok, there's lots of other faves too). But really, how blessed are we to have lived these amazing songs and get to relive them when we choose. Long live music. Forever.
I'm 62 now and have been to see Willie over 15 times that I can remember. Especially the infamous 4th of July 1976 Bicentennial Picnic, in Gonzales Tx. To this day people in that town still talk about that picnic.
I love this mellow version better than the original one by CCR. This one is sort of melancholy and thoughtful, and it makes one reflect on life. Goes to show there is more than one way to sing a song.
I just turned 51. I went to middle school with Paula in Idaho Springs Colo. She was the most beautiful human, I had ever seen. It was here 1st day there too. We were friends for about 2 weeks...before the river of Fame, money and status current swept away our differrent paths. It is sad to see her now. Makes me glad, I was from the poor end of town. Came to the same ends.
I never get tired of listening to him! My dad took me to a concert here in WI at the State Fair in the early 70's. Loved him then (at 14!) And 40+ years still love him!
I didn't think these two great voices could meld together but they sure did. It was great to hear an old gruff sounding voice blending in so well with a young angelic voice. I am happy I played this video.
I had the honor and privilege of seeing "every" concert of "Willie Nelson's" in my home state, thanks to my Mama! I love this artist, but I love my "Mama" more! Thank you!
It just struck me that Willie has the unique ability to capture the music between the notes. Just listen to his guitar licks and you’ll know what I mean. He squeezes out every note...
WILLIE, YOU ARE THE BEST. WE HAVE SOMETHING IN COMMON WILLIE........WE BOTH WERE BORN IN 1933. MY SON JIMMY INTRODUCED ME TO YOUR MUSIC MANY MANY YEARS AGO.
Willie is one of the last true American heroes. Have loved Trigger and Wille for years. Everytime he came to the east coast I went to see he and his band. I have spoken to some great guitarists and the say he's the best. Keep on playing Willie and I'll keep on listening.
Here from Big Little Lies. What a beautiful cover of a beautiful song by Mr. Nelson and his daughter Paula. Willie really is a master of covering great songs, like this one and Nine Inch Nails' Hurt and my personal favorite, Coldplay's The Scientist.
Ron Rice Johnny cash covered hurt. And he did an awesome job at it. I wish Willie Nelson did but if he did I can’t find it and I’m sure it would’ve been great!
Years after, this as song but irs by far the best ever heard reminds me of my brother's that are long gone and those that never came home. But? The rain washess all the dirt, but not our memories. Thanks found this by meer luck.
I'M a 58 year mom of 5 - 40 year old Destiny 38 year old Paul 36 year old Carl 34 year old Scot and 25 year old "Maxx"amillion 9 grandsons 4 granddaughters and one greatgrandaughter and at one time at age 17 I was left in Spicewood Texas. Funny I was the only resident at that big old dark house. I always heard Willie had a golf course out there. I was always lookin' for him, always & always he's been my favorite and I love listening to his children. Destiny played Mama's Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys for my Mom, & she moved her silent eyes. It was the last song my Mom heard. Her Birthday was the other day and of course we played it and all Her favorites. Mom was a Music Major and with MUSIC THERE'S NO PAIN, EXCEPT THE GOOD PAIN. This song, my Mom & Dad and Willie kept me alive as I turned into an alcoholic at age 25. I was in and out of rehabs. I was the only one in my immediate family of six. I finally quit having to go to rehabs around age 50. Those weekend binges when the kids were with their Dads. This song isn't a "trigger" (Willie's guitar, right?) To me this song is a savior, "a rehab song" sober living, survivalist, yeah that's who I am. Rehab can be great, fun, especially in music sessions, singing Willie song's and at the end of all this creative, therapeutic life. I'm whole, still go to Therapy. (mainly for any neglect I put on my kids) I've attended and ran 100's , 1000's of meetings & just about hated every one of them, except the ones my Mom would have to force me at 30 to go, and she pretended and talked, "shared" & flirted with all the good lookin' guys and I think I looked more at the bikers. LISTENING TO MUSIC NOW TAKES AWAY THE PAIN I PUT MYSELF IN. TWO OF MY BOYS HAVE 2 1/2 YEARS SOBER since the day of myMom's Memorial (Funeral). MY YOUNGEST WENT THROUGH MORE REHABS BEFORE 22 THEN I EVER HAVE AND NOW AT 25 HE'S RUNNING A SOBER LIVING OF 8-10 ADDICTS. STILL GETS DRUG TESTED 3 X'S A WEEK. SEAKS IN HOSPITALS AND WORKS WITH MENTALLY ILL ADDICTS, TAKES HIS VACATION TO GO ON A MISSION TO MEXICO TO BUILD ORPHANAGES (NOT CAGES) & PLANT BEAUTIFUL GARDENS FOR THEM TO WATCH GROW AND HE SINGS & THEIR LANGUAGE HIS SAVIORS SONGS TO THOSE LITTLE CHILDREN. WHEN WE ALL GET TOGETHER NOW HE DEFINITELY DOES NOT WANT TO TALK ABOUT drugs & booze. Now we make new memories, traditions and bring back the good as there was a lot of good in all of our past. Someone had to work. HA HA I have a kind hearted family and smart, well hell yeah their intelligent and we play, sing and listen to music. From Willie to SID. Now that the meetin's over. Y'ALL Pray there is a God to help this country and I sent this song to all my fellow users & supporters already, after the fourth time I had a long hard cry about everything and now I have to send it to Maxxamillion in AZ, ( where the rain comes down on a sunny day) & maybe he'll do a duet with me. Willie, Paula, trigger, CCR. GOOD MUSIC & KARMA TO Y'ALL FROM MY GREEN CHAKRA HEART, TERRIE WESSON FROM SPICEWOOD TEXAS
This man has got me through the hardest times, and even as a young child, I put on my earphones, and every night you helped me finally stop worrying, or crying and off to sleep, u r the BEST! You will always be my favorite!!

The video is in black and white, but the harmony is in living color. The more I listen to Willie Nelson, the more I like him. He is truly one of a kind. I hope he does more duets with his daughter Paula Nelson whose lovely voice made this a special treat.
"Have you ever seen the rain coming down on a sunny day"? When it's all said and done, we're just here to observe. We are witnesses. I'm glad I've gotten to see Willie!
This is a beautiful duet song! Go Willie and Paula! Her voice is amazing. Perfect for the final song of Big Little Lies. Can’t wait for the next season.
Dear Willie: Our family didn't always see eye to eye on many things, but you were never a point of contention. God Bless you and all your family. Thank you for sharing your heart, and your music. You are a special gift, and i know your just real folks but you are dear to me.
Love, love Willie Nelson. Ridiculed as I played his songs on my job quietly to myself in my little office. I am a foreigner born in Central America who listened to short-wave radio and loved the country songs by Willie Nelson and another guy, Ferlon Husky from Laredo, Texas. Willing to pay whatever it takes to hear him and hope he comes to Spain where I am now living.
First time I've heard Paula Nelson. Her voice is amazing! I know she loves her dad, but she needs her own career. She could be a big star. Sings better than any of the females in country music today!
Intoxicating... a Spiritual Mantra-like Beautiful Song. Yes! I have seen the Rain coming down on a Sunny Day. May yours, Willie and Paula, be special now. 🎉
My first concert was Willie's birthday concert in Baton Rouge La in 1980. I'm 56 and still a number one fan of the man. God Bless you Willie ! Love you and love this song with Paula. 💕🇺🇸💕🇺🇸💕🇺🇸💕🇺🇸💕🇺🇸💕🇺🇸💕
Willie has so many great songs, I don't think I can pick just one. Loved Yesterday's Wine, Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground, Seven Spanish Angels, Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain, and the one that got me to love him, Night Life.
When he leaves us I will cry like he was a family member or a close Club brother. Sing forever Willie Nelson. Going to a concert is on my bucket list. I'm 60 love in Texas and don't think I will ever
I Love CCR ! It was my sons favorite and now he left it to his three sons! Yet their isn't anyone like "Willie". Great version of such a wonderful song! Love LOVE Willie, my hubby could pass as his lost brother! Lol Now if he could sing like him? Seriously,I didn't think anyone could sound like Willie! Yet his Son,Lucas sounds just like him ! How Blessed to still have Willies music. He's still entertaining us AND he has blessed us with his wonderful children to entertain us. Thank You Mr.Nelson!!! You are the King of country! (In this hoysehold!)
Absolutely heartfelt Will I have wrote a song for you about a man struggling to say goodbye to his dying beloved sipping southern comfort to ease his mind and having a heart to heart talk with his soul as he looks back on their life

Willie is a national treasure. I hope when his life here end, one of his family members will put his old guitar in the Smithsonian . It belongs in a place for musical history for all to see. Thank you

Oh how lovely they sing this...and if you haven't seen the rain coming down on a sunny day, I know you surely must have felt it.
Nice comment I'm klaus walter I'm originally from frankfurt Germany but I live in memphis tennessee what about you
His daughter has a powerful voice, i love it.
Oh my didn't know that was his daughter she sings so lovely
Yes I have and its beautiful. One of my wilderness excursions. Standing in the rain with this huge circle of blue sky and sunshine.
He's the Greatest country singer EVER. Love this "ole man".
I TOTALLY agree
Perfect! What artist! I love country music and for me Willie is one of the best singers. Timeless. From Italy
You are so right
Yup!
Agree
Nobody can play a guitar like willie.
CCR was the first album I bought when I was a kid. This is one of the best covers I've heard of John F's songs
Its Raining now over here the whole day🌧🌨🌦🌞thank you for the nice song!! Laat de zon schijnen als je blieft !!
Hello how are you
First time I've heard Paula Nelson.
This version evokes some strong emotions. Its amazing to me how sound vibrations can bring a person to tears whether they are joy or sorrow.
Thanks “Big Little Lies”! Got chills seeing the “Monterey 5” walking into the police station at the end.
Perfect why is she now just singing this woman should have been a top singer for the last 30 years
This beautiful delicacy of harmony.I can only ever be an audience, but am able to know the sublime through this.Thank you from my heart.
Willie has so many great songs, I don't think I can pick just one. Loved Yesterday's Wine, Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground, Seven Spanish Angels, Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain, and the one that got me to love him, Night Life.
Lo admiro....amo su voz....su música me lleva a mil recuerdos...momentos unicos....sobre todo mi juventud !!!
When he leaves us I will cry like he was a family member or a close Club brother. Sing forever Willie Nelson. Going to a concert is on my bucket list. I'm 60 love in Texas and don't think I will ever
Such a beautiful version of a great song - nice going Willie and Paula@@
Thank God for Willie. He's like the last grounded, sane human being left on this earth.
Willie can turn a cover song into his own with his magical ways & bravo to Paula great work as well..
Love her voice first time hearing it .
Terry Murphy agree me too
Fogerty adn Bob seager
Same here she's great
Reminds me of Dolly Partons voice
It literally gave me goosebumps the second she started. She's got Willies voice, but in a female range.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL ❤
Great duo, father and daughter. What could be better? 💗 Love my Willie always
Hello how are you
Unusual that a major country/pop star gets to dictate his legacy and has time to share before dying. I enjoy all of this. Live long Willie!
Brings a warmth to my heart and a tear to my eye - such a magical voice...
Willie is one of my most favorite artists ever!! I even wrote a song about him! Love all of his songs!
I love Paula's voice more ,every time I hear her sing!
