- Here is another build tutorial this time for a 0.35ohm dual nano coil with 26g Kanthal laying in a bed of cotton. Build is on my IGO-W and my Kamry K-101. I used this tutorial as my very first build. Did everything the same using 28 gauge running 0.5 ohms. I've built a few after this and this is surprisingly easy and my favorite build so far. It chucks vapor and produces so much flavor. Strongly recommend this simple build.
Awesome glad this worked good for ya. This was my go to build for awhile. Now I use the knuckle builds that I have on my channel.

Thanks for taking the time to post this video, Ive been curious about nano coils. So what are the performance differences between threaded cotton micro coils & bedded cotton nano coils? I would think there would be more coil to wick contact with threaded coils vs bedded coils but I'm pretty new to rebuilding so what do I know, lol. I recently got a Kayfun 3.1 for my Nemesis & so far cotton micro coils are working great. Ive been using 28 & 30 gauge in the Kayfun but I just got some 27 gauge which I'm looking forward to try. I also recently got a Scar dual coil RDA & unfortunately have not had much success setting it up with cotton yarn & ekowool, not sure what I'm doing wrong but the 2mm silica infused ekowool I got doesn't seem to wick very well, not nearly as good as cotton that's for sure. I'm going to try dual micro coils with cotton (cotton ball) on the Scar & see how that goes, I'm sure I'll work great.
Thanks for the quick reply fellow vaper. I just learned about Dragon coils tonight, they REALLY seem to dump the vapor, I'm going to have experiment with all these builds, GOD I LOVE VAPING!!!
What were you using to wrap the coil? Might of been too wide of a gap. Nano coils need to be really tiny to get rid of hot spots. I'm still using this build and have had a good vape with this exact setup,
how long does this last until you have to rebuild it again?
Hey bro I just did a dual nano 9wrap on 26g kanthal on a single wire i built it on a grand vapor trident v1. The trident allows me to just drop the build in but my ?? Question was should I go with more wraps considering the less resistance since I'm using a single wire? Also what if I threaded a strand of silica wick through the coil or possibly dragon wrapped the wick on both coils. Would my vapor increase.?
The more wraps you use the higher the resistance. No need to thread the silica through a nano coil. You can dragon wick the nano and it will create a bit more vapor.
ok I'm kinda new to all this so I had just a cpl of questions. first, I bought a sony vtc3 it's still rated at 30 amps but with 1600 mah I believe, so will I still be all set to do this build since it's a 30 amp? and my second question, (I know it sounds dumb I'm sorry) are you doin mouth pulls or direct pulls? I'd think a direct pull wld be really warm...
First off no question is dumb, kudos to you for asking and making sure you are safe.
VTC3's are perfect for this type of build since they are 30amp. 1600 mah is just how long the battery will last before it needs to be recharged.
About the pull I like an open airy pull straight lung hits. So I drill my top cap air holes out to 1/8" to cool off the vapor. Mouth to lung pulls will increase the throat hit.

I followed this build every step, great shit man! One thing I noticed though was it was really hot smoke, do you know what I'm doing wrong or what to change? this is only like my 4th build and still learning!
It might have to do with your air holes. I have dual 1/8" air holes on my IGO-W to cool down the vape and allow for bigger vapor clouds.
I can do a 10 wrapp on a 1/16 rod but I only get around a .9 ohm. Its working great still an a cooler vape wich I prefer but should I try using a something to wrapp smaller?
I use a jumbo paperclip to wrap mine. Possibly one of my most used tool believe it or not. Also what gauge wire are you using?
try a sewing needle. works for me.

Tried doing this on my Omega and cant get the coils to fire the same ?
If they don't fire the same they must not be equal of the contacts were not tightened down enough.
I Have A K100 Stock . I Bought A Igo W And I Have It With 2 Coils And Follwed These Steps .only Thing Is I Don't Have Big Holes On The Cap & I'm Using A 28g Kanthal Wire And I Still Don't Get The Big Clouds . Do I need a new battery ? Please help I've been wanting this for a while :(
It might be your battery. Sony 30a is the best for sub ohm vaping
Where can you get the best price on the kanthor wire? Rather pick up in store locally, rather than pay shipping charges online. Also wasn't there a recall from Kangertech on the replacement heads that where shipped or sold with the Protank II mini kits? Is that the Evod head that came with it? if so is this the part causing the battery to explode when charging or defective chargers? How would this affect a coil rebuild if I use the heads I have?

Thank you for your prompt reply. Yes great price at lightning. 25 ft of 28 gauge is $5.32 & 5.82 for 50 ft on the Temco site. I thought that was a good price without shipping cost. They also have the flat ribbon site. Not sure if anyone experimented with it on the mini protank II yet. I'll start with the 28 g round like you showed. Great tutorial. Hopefully the quake stop by the time I have my wire. Hands shake enough don't need help. LOL
lol yea building during a quake is not easy :p
Ribbon might not fit in the protank heads, I would stick with 32 to 28 for the pt builds. Also lighting carries the silicone grommets for the pt heads. I just bought a 10 pack from them yesterday for 6 bucks and free shipping. That is the only part you'll need when building them yourself.

Hard to say for sure I would say use 2 less wraps than I did.
What battery are u using on this nice build?
efest 18650 1600mah 30 amp.
I hope you are using a high amp battery's. .my 35A only can handle .4 ohms. ..so your at .35?? What are you using for battys
I was using a 30 amp efest back when I made this video. I now use 35 amp efest batteries. 35amps at 4.2 volts you can build a coil down to 0.12ohms safely. Whoever told you you can only build down to .4 with a 35 amp battery does not understand ohm's law.
If you have a fresh battery at 4.2v and a coil at 0.4ohms you are only pushing 10.5amps.

30 amp you can safely build down to 0.15ohms

cenexes 12 that is the original IGO-W by Youde Tech. Gonna be difficult to find these anymore as they were popular in 2013. But they did make the IGO-W Plus and we still have the rose gold color one at www.kidneypuncher.com/igo-w-plus/ for $4.95
cenexes 12 As for the Mod that was the Kamry K-101 but again it's not gonna be easy to find that mod since it's also from 2013.
Do have to use a mod or can I use say an ego twist?
You would need to use a non regulated mod for this build. But you can build the coil to a resistance like 1.3ohms and it would work on a twist.

What is a hot spot
Hot spot is a spot where the wick is not wicking right and the coil turns red. So when you take a hit you get that harsh metallic taste.
Ray Lopez So its kinda like that time i built a Dual Nano coil and even though it was wicked and saturated with juice the coil was still turning red.
I thought my coil was just too low ohm so i scrapped it and remade another one with higher ohms. How do you fix hot spots?
DarkEclips I would make sure the nano is tight as can be and you can also cover the top of the nano coil as well. Or go for the dragon coil style where you tilt the coil up and wrap the coil in cotton leaving one side open to shoot out vapor as well as sitting on a cloud. But yes that is a hot spot for sure. just have to rework the coil and wick to cover all areas until the hot spots go away.

I've seen a new super nano where they build the coil around a peice of 28g kanthal. Might try that soon.

Already done, my old videos were done on my cell phone. Now I have a legit setup so no worries on levels. Back when i made this it was just for a few of my buddies that had build questions.
